The show fan-fiction, Season 4: Evil witches have just imprisoned Damon in a tomb.
Damon got up off the damp floor. It was dark. He vampire ran to the entrance and tried to pull at it but it was no good, those witches had gone and put a spell on it and he would never be able to get it off. He wondered if anyone had realised he had gone. Would Stefan or Elena bother to come and find him he thought bitterly to himself. He walked the other way, the tomb went back a long way and he peered around through the darkness, feeling the way with his hands. A few cracks of light came from the entrance lighting a long stone floored room. He walked the length of it. His heart jumped. Someone was lying on the floor a few feet away from him. He readied himself for a another vampire. He walked cautiously nearer and looked down at her. It was Bonnie. She was lying with her head slightly to one side her dark hair covering half her face. Her eyes closed and her body very still. They've killed her was his first thought as he bent down next to her.
"Bonnie? Bonnie can you hear me?"
He pulled her hair off her face and put his hand on her cheek. Please let her not be dead he wished inwardly.
"BONNIE?" he said her name more urgently this time. Her eyes flickered and opened slightly. She pulled her self up. He took his hand away from her face hastily as though he had been burned. Her dark eyes widened as her gaze fell upon Damon.
"You? I mean what are you doing here? Where are we?"
"No idea," was his answer as he grabbed her hand and pulled her up.
"We've got to get out!" she said.
"Great idea! Entrance is sealed though!" he said.
Bonnie walked towards the entrance. She felt the rocks with her hands.
"They've sealed it with a spell," she concluded as she took a step back.
"So I gathered...."
"I've got to brake it!" she said quietly to herself.
She summoned her concentration and reached out her hand staring at the door and muttered some well chosen words. Nothing happened. She tried again and again but each go felt more feeble than the last. The spell was protected from other witches trying to brake it. Damon watched her with a critical eye.
"It protected," Bonnie said unnecessarily. "I can't do anything. It won't open!"
Damon sighed, fixing her with his laser like gaze. "You're a witch aren't you? Can't you break it?"
"I feel weak," said Bonnie blushing. "My powers are affected by this place. Grams always....Grams always said I need to be confident in my ability for it to work and I-I don't..." She looked at the floor. She hated admitting to Damon of all people that she couldn't do it. She couldn't save them. That she was weak. They were stuck here till the witches came to get them. Fear rippled inside of her and she turned away from Damon who was still staring at her.
"Well be confident then," Damon said into the silence. "You've brought down an original before. Some witch 'hocus pocus' shouldn't be that tough!"
"Witches are harder," Bonnie said shaking her head. "I'm sorry Damon, I can't do anything!"
Silence fell between them. An awkward silence. Damon closed his eyes then ran at the wall and began to tug at the entrance. His arms aching as he pulled. He stopped. His mind full of thoughts. Stuck here forever and then killed by a bunch of witches. Left to rot down in a tomb. No he wasn't going to die that way-he wasn't!"
Bonnie slid down the wall. Her eyes closed, waiting. It couldn't be long before they came and finished them off.
"We're going to die Damon....and no one will know!" she said trying to keep the fear out of it.
"NO!" said Damon turning on her. "We're not gonna let those bitches kill us-you're going to get us out!"
"I can't!" Bonnie objected, looking at Damon full in the face. "It hurts me-the spell is too strong!"
"You're a Bennett witch-nothing is too strong!" said Damon smiling at her faintly. He grabbed her hand yet again and pulled her up. "Come on Bonnie-you can do this!" he looked at her. His face set. "Come on!"
Bonnie looked at him and bit her lip then moved to the middle of the room and stepped forward. She stretched her hand out and as she did so she thought of her Grams "Come on, baby"-her grandmother's voice rung inside of her head. Be strong like her thought Bonnie closing her eyes and summoning her courage and power. Warmth flowed through her and she felt hardened, She opened her eyes. Concentrate. She looked at the wall and imagined it being blasted apart. She spoke-her voice was stronger this time. It had a sense of determination in it as she raised her chin and continued with the spell. There was the sound of crumbling and the rocks began to shift every so slightly. She spoke louder. Her voice growing ever more confident. Her eyes staring at those rocks which refused to move properly. She raised her hand and they began to shift again then suddenly they began to tumble. Tumble fast and furiously towards her. Blown apart as if a bomb has just erupted under them.
"BONNIE!" Damon ran to her as the rocks came flying towards her. He grabbed her by the waist and pulled her aside to the wall. The rocks tumbled over to wear she had just been standing.
Bonnie felt surprised that he had pulled her out of the way with such alertness. He had saved her. She released herself from his grasp quickly.
Damon smirked at her. "Admit it. I just saved your life!"
Bonnie couldn't help but smile. "Yeah you did!" she laughed. "Thanks! she added gratefully.
"No problem," said he smirking again. "I'm catching up-"
"With what?" she asked.
"Well you've saved me-I don't know a few times but I'm reckon I almost deserve it now!"
"Is this a competition?" she asked.
"If you want it to be," he said as he did that eye thing that made her insides melt.
They walked towards the door and they both slipped and slided over the damp and slippy rocks. Damon grabbed her hand to stop her falling as she stumbled over them. He helped her climb through the entrance onto the steps outside. He tried to follow but felt himself bang into thin air. He couldn't get through.
Bonnie had already started to climb the steps until she noticed he wasn't behind her.
"Damon?"
"Errrr......yeah-I can't get through."
"What?" exclaimed Bonnie in alarm running back down the few stairs she had just climbed. "You can't get out-but I lifted the spell!"
"You removed the rocks so the entrance was clear but looks like there's a spell that stops vampires from getting out!" Damon said looking up at her scared face.
"But I can't-I can't do anything else!" Bonnie said.
"Well looks like I'm gonna have to stay here then!"
Bonnie bit her lip and thought. "I need to kill the witch who did the spell. I know which one it was! It was the one that took me!"
"And how are you going to do that?"
"With magic Damon-I'm going to find Stefan. We're going to rescue you!"
Damon rolled his eyes. "By the time you've done that-I'll be vampire meat-they'll be stirring in their cauldrons!"
It was Bonnie's turn to roll her eyes. "I'll come back-I promise!"
"How can I trust you!" he said suspiciously. "You might not tell anyone I'm here."
"I can't make you trust me Damon," Bonnie sighed. She paused then added "But I can't let you win the competition!" and she turned and ran up the stairs. Her dark hair whipping around the corner. Damon looked after and suddenly felt alone. Would she help him? Something told him that she would. She wasn't like him. She was loyal and something else told him that she was running towards help as he stood there staring up to where she had just gone......
