Kowalski poured a blue liquid into a tube of boiling water.
"now this will surely make her lo-" kowalski noticed private watching him.
"kowalski?" private asked, "do you have anything that could... Make a girl... Like me?" he looked at the ground as he asked.
"funny you mention. I was just perfecting this," kowalski sprayed a light blue liquid on him. His eyes turned to an ocean blue, and he looked stunned.
"kowalski, what was that?" he asked, rubbing hi eyes.
"it was love potion 24, and your going to be my test subject, go over to kaitlyn or whomever and work you magic! If this works, I'll have amber on my arms in no time!" kowalski replied, gidishly.
Kowalski pushed private out the door, and he bumped into CC.
"hi, CC!" he said confidently, noticing the working effect of kowalski's potion.
"hey private," said CC, pushing her glasses up.
"CC... I have to tell you something..." private said.
"what?" CC asked, nonchalantly.
Private thought about what to say.
"I... Kind of...." he felt the words start to roll out I hi mouth, "CC, I really like you, and I was wondering if you'd want to go for a picnic in the park tommorow?" he waited impatiently and CC thought.
"that sounds wonderful," CC said, "I'll see you there tommorow at 12." and private nervously waddled back into the lab, his face frozen with a smile.

Back in the lab, private talked to kowalski.
"I worked perfectly! The words came out of my beak and I didn't even have to do anything! I have a lunch date in the park tommorow with CC!" private said.
Kowalski nodded, glee showing on his face, "I can't believe it worked!" he said. Kowalski took the jar of blue liquid and sprayed himself, once, twice. "well, it never hurts..." he said, putting on a few more spritzes. "maybe just a bit more," he said, and sprayed himself once more. "ah, what the heck?" he said to himself. He pulle the top of the little bottle and poured the whole tube of blue liquid on Himself.
"wish me luck!" he said, slamming the door behind him.
He approached amber, who was doodleing in a notepad.
"hi," he said, "amber-"
Amber cut him off, "save it. I need to ask you something." she motioned for kowalski to lean in, and he did.
"I've been watching skipper. He's been getting more paranoid when one of us walks in, mostly mech-skipper. Any pointers?" she asked, scanning he room for sign of skipper.
"yes, and I could tell you over lunch," he said.
"perfec- wait, what? Why over lunch?" amber said, a little bit meanly.
"because... I kinda like you... I do like you. Maybe you wanna have a picnic in the park?"
Amber looked a bit skeptical. "I am not spending a free-period alone in the park with you." she said, getting back to her notebook.
"we could double date, with private and CC?" he said, preparing for a punch.amber stopped short, "CC AND WHO NOW?" she sounded frantic. "the little guy with the British accent? She likes him?" amber asked.
Kowalski was about to say something, but amber stopped him. "save it. I'll come," she got back to drawing, ignoring anything else kowalski said.

"Grr! Why didn't it work? I had almost the whole thing on me?" his face flooded with realization.
"oh, right. To much is not enough!" he sighed, toying with some old gadgets, trying to wait for tommorow.
