This was the first time Emma had been outside the zoo, since she got here, and it was beautiful. Birds flew from tree to tree, singing little tunes, rabbits hopped around, nibbling at the grass. The sun was shining brightly in the sky, and it seemed to be the perfect temperature, not too hot, and not too cold. A number of clouds dotted the landscape, making interesting shapes in the sky. As Emma and Private approached a lake, Private stopped and turned to a tree., with a blossoming bush next to it.
"Sarah, are you there?" Private called into the bush. A golden retriever, about the height of the chimps poked it's head out of the bush cautiously. She had dark brown eyes, a golden coloured coat, short ears, and a scar on her right eye and a black nose. Emma also noticed that she had her claws out. Her face lit up when she saw Private.
"Hi Private!" She said, beaming at him. "It's nice to see you again, and who's this?" She asked looking toward Emma, and sniffing her curiously.
"This is my friend Emma, she came to the zoo a few days ago." Private explained, smiling at Emma.
"Hi, it's nice to meet you." Emma said, shyly.
"It's nice to meet you too." Sarah said giving Emma a small smile.
"Mama what's going on?" asked a little pup, about Private's height, popping his head out of the bush, he was gold like his mum ad had her black nose, but had bigger bright blue eyes, black paws, and a black underbelly.
"I'm just talking to some friends Jack, now get your sisters." Sarah said, nuzzling the tiny pup.
"Ok!" He replied eagerly, and he dashed back into the bush. A few seconds later Jack came out with two other pups. One had her mothers coat, but had big green eyes and longer ears than the others, along with a longer tail, and a brown tail tip. This one also had a brown nose, with a brown stripe going up it, and brown around her eyes. The other looked a lot like her mum, and even had her eye shape and colour, but had a lighter coat shade, a small tuft of black fur, sticking up on her head. This one looked a little older than the other two.
"Kids you remember Private don't you?" Sarah asked pointing to the short penguin.
"Yay, uncle Private!" The green eyed one exclaimed, jumping on him, and licking his face happily.
"Poppy calm down." Sarah warned, the little green eyed dog.
"Ok mummy." Poppy said sadly, getting off Private.
"Sorry about that Private." Sarah apologized.
"That's ok, she was just excited, weren't you Poppy?" Private replied, bending down and stoking her head.
"Yup." Poppy replied, waging her little tail.
"Anyway kids, this is Private's new friend, Emma." Sarah added, pointing a paw towards her.
"Hi Emma!" Jack, and Poppy squealed at the same time, running up to her, wagging their tails in excitement. The other puppy, strolled over casually after the others.
"So these are my kids, Poppy's the youngest, then Jack, and this is Izzy, my oldest." Sarah explained, nodding at the lighter coloured pup.
"Hey it's nice to meet you." Izzy said, her tail wagging a little.
"It's nice to meet you too Izzy." Emma said smiling, and patting her head gently. "And you too Poppy and Jack." Emma continued, stroking their heads.
"Hey why don't you three go and play tag for a bit?" Sarah suggested.
"Yay!" Jack and Poppy exclaimed, running around happily.
"Aw do I have to?" Izzy asked, looking at her younger siblings. "I'd rather be drawing, or watching the clouds."
"Izzy, go and play with them." Sarah replied sternly. Izzy rolled her eyes and walked reluctantly over to her brother and sister.
"So I bet you're wondering where the father is?" Sarah asked Emma, motioning for them to sit down.
"Well I guess it crossed my mind." Emma replied carefully.
"He left, when I was pregnant with Poppy." Sarah answered sadly. "He said he wanted to see the world, and he couldn't do that with a family weighing him down."
"Aw, that's really sad." Emma replied. "How could he leave his family like that?"
"I don't know." Sarah answered, looking at the floor. "Poppy never even knew him, Jack barely remembers him, and Izzy's quite bitter about it all, becuase she's a year older that Jack, and Jacks, a few months older than Poppy. So she has a good memory of him, and she still doesn't understand why he left."
"What was he like?" Emma asked curiously.
"He was wonderful at first." Sarah replied, brightening up a bit. "We once found a camera and took pictures of eachother, so I've got a picture of him here." She continued, getting a picture out of the bush. She handed it to Emma. He had the same colour coat as Izzy, and and he had a dark brown tuft of hair on his head, his eyes were a different shape to all of them, and he had black paws and underbelly like Jack. his tail was long like Poppy'a and it was a mix between cream, black and brown. Like Poppy, he had long ears, and a brown nose with a brown stripe going up it. His eyes were a mix of Jack and Poppy's colours. Emma turned to picture around, and on the back, it said Joshua. Emma guessed that was his name.
"So when did he wanted to see the world?" Emma asked gently.
"A while after Jack was born, a human left a leaflet about a place called Hawaii near our home, and Josh found it. He started talking about it all of the time, and when I was pregnant with Poppy, he just left." Sarah explained. "He said he'd be back someday, but I don't know if he was lying or not."
"'m sure he will be back." Emma said reassuringly. Sarah was about to say something when the pups came rushing over.
"Mum, Jack keeps biting me." Izzy complained glaring at her brother.
"I'm just playing!" Jack protested, looking upset.
"Well it hurt!" Izzy snapped, I didn't even want to play in the first place!" She finished, stomping back into the bush. Private, and Emma's eye widened, as they watched this.
"Aw Izzy, come back." Poppy called about to run up to the bush, but Sarah stopped her.
"I think it's best if you leave her for a bit." Sarah said gently. "And Jack, you may just be playing, but you've gotta be careful, becuase your getting sharp teeth now, and they can hurt people." Sarah explained, looking down at her son.
"Ok, mama." Jack agreed.
"Hey, what if I go and talk to her?" Emma piped up. "I heard her say she likes drawing, and looking at the clouds, I can help with that." She continued, reasonably.
"Sure, go for it, but no ones been able to cheer Izzy up when she's like this before." Sarah answered skeptically. Emma walked up to the bush, and poked her head inside. It was really big, and it seemed to be divided into four sections, by little hedges, that would actually give enough privacy to people. Emma guessed that these were rooms for each of them. She spotted Izzy in the farthest one.
"Hey Izzy." Emma called softly, looking at the little pup.
"Hey." Izzy mumbled not looking up.
"Y'know, I've heard that you like drawing." Emma continued getting into the bush. and sitting beside her. Izzy nodded.
"But it's hard to draw with paws, ad I've only got a sweet wrapper to draw on, and a red pencil to draw with." Izzy explained sadly.
"Well, it seems like you might need some new equipment." Emma replied, opening her backpack.
"Yeah, but where would I get- oh wow!" Izzy gasped, as Emma pulled out a sketch book, and a pencil set, with rulers, rubbers and sharpeners too, and handed them to Izzy.
"I- I can have them?" Izzy asked, looking bright- eyed.
"Yes they're all yours." Emma answered, smiling at the young pup.
"Aw thank you!" Izzy exclaimed, hugging Emma. "I'm gonna treasure these forever!" She promised, looking the happiest she had been all day.
"Now, should we go back outside again?" Emma asked, nodding at the bush walls
"Ok!" Izzy said eagerly, running towards the little opening. Emma followed her out, and Izzy showed her mum, what Emma had gave her. Jack and Poppy started to walk over to Emma expectantly. Emma guessed that they were wondering if they had a present, so Emma put her flipper behind her back. Now she didn't like to do this, but she wanted to know what they really wanted to so she read their minds.
I wonder if Emma has got me a present? I hope it's a blue ball! Jack thought trotting over. Emma focused on Poppy.
I hope Emma's got me something like a cuddly chew toy that squeaks. Poppy wondered, going after her brother.
"Don't worry I've got you both something too." Emma said, just as the toys materialized in her flippers behind her. She held out the blue ball to Jack, and the chew toy to Poppy. Both of them barked excitedly and took the gifts, saying thank you about a thousand times. Sarah walked over and thanked Emma, a big smile spreading over her face.
"That's ok." Emma replied, smiling, as she looked down at the pups who were playing with their new toys.
They stayed with the pups and Sarah for hours. Izzy and Emma were lying down on there stomachs, drawing some of the shapes they saw in the clouds, Private, and Jack were playing catch and Sarah was playing tug of war with Poppy. After a while Jack said he was taking a nap, so Private came over to see what Emma and Izzy were doing.
"We're drawing what we see in the clouds." Izzy explained. "See this ones a fish." She continued pointing at the picture she had just finished. "And Emma showed me how to hold a pencil easier, so now it's easy to draw." She finished, smiling happily.
"Say, can I join you two?" Private asked, looking at Emma nervously. As much as he liked playing with Jack, he had really wanted to spend some time with Emma.
"Sure." Emma said, smiling at him. Private lay down next to er, which made her blush. Emma handed him some paper, and something to lean on, and they all began drawing what they saw in the clouds.
"Hey Emma, I didn't know you were left flippered." Private said looking a little surprised.
"Well I always have been." Emma replied cheerfully. "So is Izzy." Emma continued, smiling shyly at Private. They were lying down very close to eachother.
"That's cool." Private marvelled, as he began to draw. After hours of sitting there, talking, drawing and giggling. (Emma found out that Private knew lots of good jokes) the sky began to blacken and Emma checked her phone.
"Woah, it's 10pm!" She exclaimed, looking astounded. So they got up and went to say their goodbyes.
"Goodbye!" Poppy and Jack called at the same time.
"See ya." Izzy said, hugging Emma.
"It was really nice having you both here." Sarah smiled.
" See ya." Private and Emma said together, as they turned around and headed back to the zoo. The wind had picked up, and it became a little colder. The animals were all all in there homes now, and Emma noticed a few stars twinkling in the sky. Private silently took her flipper as they walked through the park, and both of them pretended not to notice, even though Emma's whole body had just warmed up, and the butterflies in her stomach, made her feel giddy. She was grateful that it was dark, becuase her face felt like it had a gone a red as a tomato. They got to the zoo, and walked slowly up to their habitat. As the two penguins climbed through the bars, ad walked up to the fishbowl, they both stopped.
"I had a really fun time today." Emma said, looking at the smaller penguin shyly.
"Me too." Private replied, blushing slightly. They exchanged a little hug, and jumped into the habitat, both still blushing. They saw that Kowalski was sitting down, drawing on his clipboard, Rico was in his bunk, looking at a book of explosions, and Skipper was watching Tv. Kowalski looked up from his clipboard, and his face broke into a smile.
"Hey Em, hey Private, how did meeting the dogs go?" He asked, looking at Emma nervously.
"It went really well, the puppies were really cute." Emma replied brightly. She and Private sat down near Kowalski. Rico looked up from his book, and smiled at his sister. Skipper turned around and looked at the clock.
"You were there a while." He remarked.
"Yeah, the puppies wanted us to stay with them for a bit." Emma explained.
"Hey, Em do you want to work on the machine for a bit?" Kowalski asked hopefully.
"Sure." Emma said, following him to the lab, she glanced at Private and smiled shyly. They worked on it fr two hours, and unfortunately nothing as interesting as last time happened, but it was still lots of fun. All they had to do was fit the the Turbo Shifter in, when Skipper called that it was time for bed. They all got into bed and called their goodbyes to eachother. Emma lay awake for hours, wondering who she liked more, Private or Kowalski. Who would she choose if they both asked her out? How would she be able to choose? What if none of them liked her? She mentally slapped herself when that thought popped up. She couldn't help notice that both of them weren't really good at hiding their feelings. She thought of when Kowalski fell on her today. She knew that as an accident, but Private holding her flipper on the way home wasn't. She began to think that they both liked her, which made her wonder even more.
Who would she choose?
"Sarah, are you there?" Private called into the bush. A golden retriever, about the height of the chimps poked it's head out of the bush cautiously. Who would she choose?
omg, i had several dreams about the show! one was fan-wrtten-episode week, where we send in episodes and they choose which episodes to air!
then one about a fan-created series, where the fans nominate three or four fan OCs the become thei own tv show derived from a tv show derived from a movie!
then just a bunch of episode ideas after that.
but the point was, i had a dream once, where there was a bank in my room, i cleaned it the next day, found a twenty-dollar bill uder the bd, and an empty piggy-bank in the closet!

D: XD So now it's only PoM, MLP: FiM, TAWOG, Adventure Time, and Regular Show, plus our OCs. :3 Aaaannddd since I had to type more to make it an article..... RANDOM WORDS!!!!
