Animated version wears no earings
Animated version wears no earings
Continuity: In the taxi cab in the beginning of the movie, the collar of Robert's overcoat is tucked under the seat belt strap one moment, then resting over it, then tucked under it again a moment later.

Errors in geography: Robert's office is supposed to be in the Time Warner Center on Columbus Circle. However, the Lipstick Building, located on Third Avenue at 53rd Street, is seen across the street from a window.

Continuity: During the scene in the Italian restaurant, as Robert and Giselle are sitting at the table talking, Robert's hair keeps changing between shots.

Continuity: When Nancy arrives at Robert's apartment to find Giselle there, Robert is in need of a shave. When he chases after Nancy as she leaves the building and gets into a taxi, he is clean-shaven. When he returns to the apartment, he has considerable beard growth again.

Continuity: Towards the end of the big musical number in Central Park, Robert's phone rings while he's sitting in the carriage. In the long shot, he clearly reaches into his pocket and removes the phone. In the close-up, he does the same thing again.

Plot holes: Giselle rides the subway from Times Square to the Bowery, and Edward gets lunch in a deli--yet neither has any money.

Continuity: The dress Giselle makes from Robert's curtains is a different shade than the curtains themselves.

Continuity: The animated Giselle wore no earrings with her white wedding gown. When teleported to the real world, she did.

Revealing mistakes: In the scene where Edward comes to Robert and Morgan’s apartment to get Giselle, as Giselle is explaining what a date is to Edward, if you look to the bottom left where Giselle was just standing next to Robert, you can see the pink tape on the floor that marks where she was supposed to stand.

Continuity: The film is clearly set during warm weather, with lots of summer foliage and no one in heavy jackets. Yet when the chipmunk breaks out of the hotel room, there is clearly snow across the street.

Errors in geography: New York City Transit route X90, the bus Prince Edward stabs, does not run through Times Square.

Revealing mistakes: When Prince Edward is on top of the bus, he stabs the bus through the roof, and hits the old lady's bag, tearing it open. There's no way his sword was long enough to go through the roof of the bus and reach all the way to the woman sitting down. He'd have to be hanging upside down inside.

Continuity: In the Italian restaurant scene, there are two stacks of bread baskets behind Giselle's shoulder. Almost every shot shows a different bread basket configuration - baskets disappear and reappear. While one shot shows a waiter taking a basket, this cannot explain all the discrepancies. Maybe Robert isn't the only "magician" in the room!

Continuity: Giselle knocked on "The Palace Casino" billboard's fake door. Both door and balcony are dry even though rain has stopped falling only minutes before this.

Continuity: Giselle and Robert leave the law office building. He says he can't help her anymore, gives her money and she walks away into Central Park. The next shot shows Robert turning his back ready to walk back to work. In the background, a man wearing black jacket and loose fitting jeans walks from the screen's bottom right to left. Robert turns around to take a last look at Giselle. The man now clearly walks out of the screen's left side. The shot switches back to Giselle. It then switches again back to Robert. This time however the man in the background is still in the middle of the screen when seconds before he had already walked out of to the left.

Crew or equipment visible: When Giselle is knocking on the Castle billboard, there is a camera shot from Robert's point of view. In the shot, one can see up part of Giselle's hoop dress. Under which, one can see dangling leather straps. These are most likely the leather straps of her safety harness and she is probably harnessed to the billboard.

Continuity: When Robert and Morgan find Giselle on the billboard, Morgan is wearing a karate gi and white belt. A karate belt is wrapped around the waist twice before the knot is tied. The knot is tied around both wraps of the belt in order to hold the belt together. During the billboard scene and the hallway scene after it, Morgan's belt is tied correctly. In the scene after Giselle falls through the doorway, Morgan's belt is now tied incorrectly, with the knot of the belt hanging below the first wrap.

Continuity: When Edward places Giselle on the lounger in the ballroom, her head is on one end of the pillow. In the next shot and without time to reposition it, her head is in the center of the pillow.

Continuity: When Giselle returns to Morgan for help getting ready for the ball, she kneels down and her hair is partly over her shoulder and partly behind her back. When the camera cuts in close, her hair is entirely over her shoulder to the front.

Revealing mistakes: In the scene which Prince Edward finally makes it to Robert's apartment to rescue Giselle, he picks Giselle up and spins her around. If you pay close attention, the first time he swings her around, Giselle's pink pumps fall off her feet. The second time, the shoes are back on her feet.

Factual errors: During Giselle's tidy of the apartment, the flies arrive in the fireplace down an open flue, yet the external shot of the apartment building shows no chimneys.

Continuity: When Nathaniel is talking to the Queen of Andalasia, there are 3 apples in the pot at one point. Then the camera goes to Nathaniel. Then we see the queen in the pot taking the ONE apple and almost taking a bite of it. We see Nathaniel again. When we see the pot again, it is back to being 3 apples.

Continuity: When Nancy Tremaine sits down on the ballroom floor and picks up the single glass slipper she is dry even though she had been out on the balcony in the pouring rain looking up at the battle with the dragon.

Continuity: When Giselle first wakes up in Robert's apartment, she sees the mess and starts her "Happy Working Song." In the song she sings nonchalantly about cleaning the hair from the shower drain. However, only a few minutes later in the bathroom, she expresses amazement to Robert about the existence of such a "magical room."

Factual errors: The dance at the end is the King's and Queen's Waltz, which is conducted in 6/8 time, while most waltzes are conducted in 3/4. 6/8 sounds like a faster 3/4, but is in fact far too fast to dance a waltz to. According to music theory, 6/8 is duple triple time (two beats of three) while 3/4 is triple duple time (three beats of two). A waltz requires 3 beats per bar.

Continuity: About halfway through the ballroom dance to the song "So Close" and after Robert sings to Giselle, confetti begins to fall as they dance. Pieces of the confetti can be seen clearly falling on Robert's head and shoulders. However, when Nancy interrupts, the confetti stops falling and the pieces that fell onto Robert suddenly disappear.

Revealing mistakes: When Queen Narissa gives Nathaniel the poisoned apples in the soup, he reaches in to get them. His fingers touch the nearly boiling liquid (as evidenced by the bubbles rapidly rising to the surface) three times and he never so much as flinches.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs: It's said that during That's How You Know scene, the heart-shaped flower wreath Giselle gives to the pigeons is different from the wreath that Nancy received. However, the wreath is simply seen from the other side in the scene with Nancy. The edge of the white flowers can be seen on the inner left side.

Goofs below here contain information that may give away important plot points. You may not want to read any further if you've not already seen this title.

Continuity: SPOILER: After placing the rose on the statue of Robert in the woodland cottage, it disappears and reappears in subsequent shots.

Continuity: SPOILER: Towards the end of the movie, when Giselle throws the sword to save Robert from falling off the building, the sword catches on the corner of his sleeve. When the sleeve finally gives, and he's falling and sliding down the roof of the building, his sleeve keeps switching how it's ripped between shots as he's falling. First only the cuff is ripped off, then none of it appears to be ripped, then the cuff again, then the whole sleeve is missing.

Continuity: SPOILER: When Nathanial tries to give Giselle the poisoned apple in Central Park, it was so poisonous that it melted through the biker's helmet it landed on; however, when Robert picks up the poisoned apple at the ball with his bare hands, he is fine. And since the queen says that the "poisoned apples don't grow on trees" and that there is only one left, it implies all the apples are from the same place, so they should all have the same effects.

Reference 3: The waltz is like Sleeping Beauty

Reference 4: The singing is also in Cinderella where Robert sings in Giselle's ear But she doesn't sing but it counts anyway.

Reference 5: Roberts costume is similar to the Beasts(already mentioned in another article I did)

Reference 6 : Not a disney movie but when Robert is satring at Giselle it looks like Anya and Dimtri in a way where Dimtri is lookin at Anya at the top of the stairs .

Not in ballroom reference

Note: Anya and Dimtri also remind me of Giselle and Robert I know some people will say no but I think they look so much alike in a way.
Enchanted: Robert is mesmerized at Giselle just like Cinderella and charming was with each other
