Kevin Lima was born in 1962. He began his career as an animator before becoming a director . He did animation for Rover Dangerfield, Little Mermaid, Oliver & Company, Sport Goofy in SoccerManina,The Brave little toaster and The Rescucers down under. He was also in the art department doing Beauty & the Beast as well as as the writer for Oliver & Company and Aladdin. His first film was A Goofy Movie back in 1995. After that he did the last disney renaissance movie Tarzan with Chris Buck back in 1999. Afterwards he did Eloise at the Plaza/Eloise at Chrimasse. He also did 102 Dalmations in 2000.In 2005 Kevin Lima was starting a movie called Enchanted. The story is about a cartoon maiden who falls for a prince but his evil stepmother throws her into another world and that world is NY city. Kevin stated that he wanted to hire a less known actress. Over 300 actresses auditioned for the part, but the only one that got it was Amy Adams. The movie was nominated for an oscar in 2007 but it won 6 awards in different award cermonies.He also provided the voice of the chipmunk Pip in the real world in the movie.

He also has a daughter named Emma Rose Lima who also had a brief cameo in Enchanted was also he voice of the bluebird in the animated world. Kevin Lima is a very good director and my personal favourite is Enchanted which is feel good romantic comedy with a twist
