Harry Potter Question

What happend at the end of HP. Half-Blood Prince? Why was there no battle?

Is it because they're saving it for the last book? Because there wasn't much "action" as I thought it would be. In the book there was a battle. why didn't they add it?

The direction felt like putting a battle in HBP then in DH would make the ending to repetitive with a big battle and people dying and grieving. That's also the reason he took out Dumbledore's funeral.

I was surfing the web and found a site that said that the director felt that this movie didn't "need" a battle. it explained that if there was a battle in this movie, the one in the seventh movie would hold less meaning and be too repetative for the audience. I think that the reason why they took out Dumbledor's funeral was very similiar. They want the seventh and eighth movies to be the most powerful and unique; they are planning on staying identical to the final book.

i dont think there should be a battle because the point of the book was to discover snape continuing from order of the phoenix and also because the battle is the last part where good triumphs

I think they are ruining the sixth movie by not adding the battle. it sounds evil but not having fred or george (cant remember) die kind of screwed up the movie.

I think it was stupid to leave it out. Obviously, it was not close to the huge battle in the seventh book. In HBP, it is the Order plus a few DA kids versus some Death Eaters. In DH, it is everyone plus creatures and trolls and what not.
