Dawn: Togekiss, Piplup, spotlight!
She throws the two pokeballs in the air.
Piplup: Pip! Pip! Plup!
Togekiss: Kiss! Kiss!
Dawn: Now! Piplup, Whirlpool! Togekiss, Aura Sphere!
Piplup: Lup!
Togekiss: Toge! Kiss!
The whirlpool turns into a beautiful tornado of sparkling water.
Dawn: Piplup! Use Hydro Pump! Togekiss! Air Slash!
Dawn keeps commanding the Pokemon to do moves while Paul is carefully examining her work.
Brock: So, how is she?
Paul: She's not bad.
Ash: See? Told ya!
Paul: But she's not good either.
Ash: O_O
Brock: Well, maybe you can tell her that after the contest and break her heart!
Paul: *stands up* I'm leaving. I don't want to waste my time watching a troublesome girl perform and make her Pokemon look stupid.
Dawn notices Paul standing up and leaving she stops in the middle of her performance round and runs away to a place where she can cry in peace.
Announcer: Woah! Looks like she is now disqualified!
Ash: Dawn! Where's she going?
Brock: She probably didn't know Paul was here and lost her cool.
Ash: Poor Dawn...

Dawn is crying on a bench near the park in her normal clothes.
Dawn: *sniff* Great! I thought this was *sniff* over! He just had to come and ruin my performance! *sniff*
Paul notices Dawn as he walks by. He just keeps walking.
Ash: DAWN!
Dawn: *turns around* *quietly* I'm over here...
Ash: Dawn, are you okay?
Dawn: No! Why was Paul here?
Brock: He wanted to apologize to you for making you cry last night, but he left because he didn't want to waste his time watching you make your pokemon look...never mind.
Dawn: Great! Now he thinks Contests are stupid!
Ash: Dawn, that's not what Brock meant.
Dawn: I don't care anymore!
