(Paul Shinji's POV)
I walk with my head down low and my hands in my pockets. If you're guessing where I am going, it's Dawn's house. I'm going to apologize to her because of what happened yesterday at school. Thursday night, and obviously at night, it's late and dark. People call me an unfair guy, but sometimes I do things my way and they make sense to me. Only about a block away from Dawn Hikari's home, I sigh. There's nothing harder in a man's life then apologizing to your woman. And in this case, Dawn is my 'woman'. But, I just don't know it yet. We were supposed to have a date this afternoon, but Dawn cancelled it because she was still upset of what happened to her. I hurt her feelings. But it wasn't my fault, to tell you the truth! My friends don't want me dating Dawn, but I had to do that or else they'd think I'm a loser. And I'm not! I don't even like those guys anymore. "Finally I'm here." I murmur to myself. Stepping onto their porch and near the wooden door, I knock. KNOCK. KNOCK. The door opens and I see Johanna Hikari. Dawn's mother. I clear my throat. "Hello. Is Dawn home?" Johanna checks behind her for something. "Yes. But, I don't think she would like to talk to you." I slightly frown. "Oh. I thought so. Well, please tell her that she's my whole world. I changed because of her." I explain. "Oh. Okay. I guess." Johanna responds. "I will tell her." "Thank you ma'am." I bow before her and I turn around to leave. "Poor young man..." I hear Johanna say to herself.
