Dib's pov

Star seemed like her mind was somewhere eles. She still hadn't told me what had happen yesterday after skool. When we were younger we were close, I felt like she was hiding something big and it was kind of werid that she hadn't mention the car crash. she always called it that awful night. Dad wasn't around so I couldn't ask him. I worried about her though I shouldn't she a lot like Gaz someone you wanted to keep save, but they were to stubborn to take it. Star had barely touch her food.

"Star?"

"What?"

"Are you ok?"

"Fine, sorry I snap at you."

"It fine are you sure your ok you seem somewhere eles."

"Just trying to make sense of dream I had last night."

"Want to talk about it?"

"Nope" she said with a laugh.

The bus came.

"Lets go guys" I said

Star's pov

I couldn't stop thinking about him! I don't know why this was happening? In my 13th years of life none had ever done this to me! It scaried me, I felt as though I could trust him. NO I can't let anyone get close it only lead to pain in the end. I would igrone him till I could end it all, but when I saw him I forget everything I just thought.

He smile at me, my heart skiped a beat. How could he be doing this to me? Maybe I should talk to Dib about it. No, bad idea he would freak out and never let me out of his sights again. I laughed at the thought.

"How are you" I asked

"Fine how about you?"

"Better"

"Good to hear"

I smiled he cared. No Star he just been nice. Then why he save you? My head and heart were fighting with each other.

"So whats new?"

"Nothing You?"

"Same"

All the suddened Dib yelled.

Zim's pov

"Don't talk to her" yelled Dib

"Shut Up Dib-Stink" I shot back

Star tried to hold back a giggle,my squeedlyspooch did a flip of joy.

"Leave my cousin alone ALIEN SCUM."

"Dib I was talking to him first, so chill out. My God, its a free country. I can make my own choices. SO BACK OFF!!!"

"But he's evil."

She glared at him.

"I'm just trying to keep you save"

"I know that but don't."

"Star"

"NO!"

She turned away from him and to me. She was about to say something to me. When Mr. Bitters walked in. Damn that human. She looked just as mad I did.

Just like Ms. Bitters he started talking about our doom. What was with these teachers and doom?

Something landed on my desk. it was a note.

Thanks for saving me, That was very kind. Sorry about Dib. Met me at the cliff after skool.

Star

I felt a stange feeling in my squeedlyspooch. This human wasn't like the others,and she seemed to want to be my friend. Dib-worm won't like that.


I chucked. Dib glared at me. He probably thought I was up to something.The day went slowly by it seemed like a lifetime before skool finally let out. I ran to the cliff.

Star's pov

The day seemed to painful slow when the bell finally ran I quickly gave Dib the slip and ran as fast as my legs could take me. I wanted to be with him without any distractions Dib being the main one. I didn't understand why I wanted to be with him, but I really didn't care.

We ran into each other and fell down.

"Sorry" he said helping me back up.

I felt high at that moment.

"No my fault."

"So whats up?"

"I though since we are going to be friends it be best if we get to know one another."

"I Like That" he said

Talking to him came so easily it was kind of creepy, but he seemed to do then same for me. He knew everthing about me,but that awful night that was the one thing none not even Zim would know.
We both were agansit a near by tree my head on his shoulder, his arm around me.

"Why you stop wanting to invade Earth?"

"I tell you if you tell me what happen to you"

"Of course, Zim I can't beside you might statred having the nightmares too. I would rather you didn't."


Zim's pov

I had told her almost everything about myself but why I stop wanting to destory Earth.I wanted her to know. I didn't even care that she was Human! I need something anything to get her to tell me, what had happened that awful night. I knew a little more that it was the night her mother and brother Steve died and that she dreamed about it almost evey night.

That why she tried to kill herself the other day. Becuase she missed them so much.I didn't understand that and I told her that. she told me a mother and brother love is something that can never be replaced.

"Star, it can't be that bad!"

"You have no Idea!"

"I understand I can wait but I want to be part of your life. Let me in please."

I had said the same thing from the dream. It shocked me as did it Star since we both had the same dream. She didn't answer for awhile.

"Maybe, someday I will but today I can't. It was really fun getting to know you. We should do this all the time."

"I like that"

"Well, better get going I have let Dib worry long enough."

"Can't you do for a little longer?"

"Wish I could but can't. Remember we still have homework. See you at skool."

"Star"

"Yeah Zim"

"Thanks for trusting me."

She smiled and disappeared. I went home.

I was pacing back and forth.

"What happened that night?" I said out alone

"Tacos!!" yelled Gir

"In a mintue!"

The rest of the night I thought of everything that could had happened, but I would never know till she told me.

I didn't care about the Dib-worm. I was her friend and she was mine. He just have to live with it.

Then I fell asleep and dream of her again.
