Chapter 1
We were all laughing and feeling freaking excited.
Annie, Sara and I were walking home from a whole day’s worth of shopping, but not any old ordinary shopping. Each of our over-flowing bags were stuffed with posters, plushies, figures and out-fits of Riku, Cloud Strife and Axel.
It was night and we were walking down a dark street laughing pointlessly about the treasures we bought until we were ‘broke’.
Suddenly a scruffy voice said: “Hand over yer money. I’m muggin’ yers.”
At first we thought it was some hobo asking for spare change, but when we turned around… It was no hobo. It was a hooded mugger. His gun pointed at us and we ran for our lives.
“What’s the plan?!” Sara panicked trying to keep up with me and Annie.
“Ummm…” I murmured sarcastically, “How ‘bout…”
“RUN LIKE HELL!!!” Annie finished.
“Agreed.” Sara nodded and we all sprinted like rabbits.
We ran into a dark alley. Which was also a dead end.
“Nice going Annie.” Sara frowned.
“What? What did I do?” Annie asked innocently.
“Lead us to here. I was following you.” Sara argued.
“Well, I was following Jade!” Annie protested.
“Don’t look at me, I was following Sara!” I yelled annoyed.
We were all too busy arguing that we didn’t notice the mugger stepping closer and readying his gun.
“Hey, do you know what?” Annie concluded, “Let’s just agree to disagree.” she said smiling.
Sara and I looked at each other confused.
“Tell you what…” the mugger said ready to shoot us.
Our attention suddenly focused on the stranger. We were terrified and speechless.
“I’ll give you to three to give me what you’ve got. One…”
“Please sir… Listen.” I begged, “We don’t have any money.”
“Yes we d---!” Sara said but Annie kicked her to shut her up.
“Two.” He continued ignoring our pleads.
“Annie, Sara… C-Y-A later.” I said sadly.
I rummaged through one of my shopping bags and pulled out my Axel plushie. I held it tight. “Seeya to you too Axel…” I sniffled. I peered at my friends and saw they were doing the same. Only with Riku and Cloud.
There were tears in my eyes but I forced myself to blink them back.
“Three.” He smiled grimly, “Any last words?”
Then oddly, I saw a bright, spiked and flaming object flying his way.
“Yeah,” I said pointing, “Heads.”
“What?” he said shocked and turned around, but the fiery weapon sliced his head clean off.
The weapon span and pierced the ground. Then it disappeared in flames.
And to my surprise the weapon was a… “Chakram!” I gasped.
We watched unsure whether to be scared or relieved. The body still stood there and we watches the head fall onto the ground.
And we sighed happily to see the head belonged to our arch-enemy. Marluxia. (Mar-loo-sha)
Then a red and black sword stabbed Marluxia. It shot like an arrow and even went all the way through him.
The bloody sword, almost magically, landed at Annie’s feet. The dead corpse fell and blood spilt everywhere. I almost then felt sorry for Marluxia. (but then again, he deserved it)
“But… This is Riku’s sword!” Annie said astonished.
“Cloud, Cloud, Cloud, CLOUD!” we heard Sara with her fingers crossed.
Then, a huge oversized sword covered in bandages fell from the sky and pierced Marluxia’s head splashing blood on the walls.
And what we were all hoping for happened. In the distance we saw three figures.
They walked closer and though we were expecting, it was still unbelievably…
“Riku!” Annie smiled and skipped towards him and handed his sword back.
“Cloud!” Sara sighed dreamily and stumbled to him. She fell halfway but Cloud caught her.
“Axel!” I grinned, “But… This is impossible.” I was happy but after all that happened, it was true. “How can ---?”
Axel cut me off. “No more.” He said holding his fingers to my lips.
I felt my legs turn to jelly and I fell backwards. But luckily Axel caught me in time. He picked me up and almost cradled me.
Me and my friends then all dropped our shopping bags. They seemed like nothing compared to this.
I glance at my friends and saw the same thing happen.
“Axel…” I giggled happily.
“Love you too.” He said smiling his awesome smile and bent over for a kiss.
So close… But then.
Chapter 2
“JADE!!! WAKE UP ALREADY!!!”
“What?!” I panicked. All that… It was only a dream... Damn! So close, yet so far. I glared at my friends Annie and Sara. And of course their mega-phone that nearly made me deaf.
“You woke me from the nicest dream…” I yawned stretching my arms. “I was that close to smooching Axel!”
“Oh please,” Sara said smiling sarcastically, “You have that same dream every night. You’ll have it again tonight.”
“Yeah. Don’t fret. Axel’s gonna come back!” Annie said teasing me.
“OK. It’s outta my mind. Happy?” I asked grinning.
“Chuffed as chips.” Sara said laughing over her victory, “So… Ready to explore Disney Land?” she asked excitedly.
We had saved up a lot of money for this trip. Since it was all our ‘dreams’ to come here. And so far, even though it was our first day, it has been awesome.
We chucked on our jeans and t-shirts and left our hotel and outside there was a parade with balloons, flowers, confetti and basically anything you’d ever want in a parade!
But we decided to skip that and wander off to look at the exhibits. Since everyone was at the parade the exhibits would be clear and people-free.
We passed a Pride Rock, a cottage with seven dwarfs, Captain Hook’s pirate ship and many more but what interested us the most was the closed off Cave of Wonders.
The cavern that looked like a tiger’s head seemed as if it watched us. The entrance which was the tiger’s mouth was partly boarded off. I guess it would since we’ve already passed the gate saying ‘DO NOT ENTER’.
‘I’m not so sure we should be here…” Sara mumbled.
“And?” Annie asked.
“Here. I found a space we can easily fit through.” I said revealing a hole that a great dane could easily crawl through.
We shuffled in and saw the place looked bigger from the inside and that it was surrounded by cobwebs.
“Well, let’s go!” Annie said and her voice echoed through the dark cave.
Sara pulled out a small torch from her pocket and flicked it on. “What? It’s handy! And pocket-sized!” she protested before we could say anything.
“Geek.” I muttered. And thankfully, Sara didn’t hear.
We headed deeper into the cave.
There were old and ripped posters scattered along the ground and walls. Further ahead broken props lay on the ground dusty, rusted and worn. We continued walking almost ignoring everything except the spider webs that were easily dealt with.
Then after about half an hour Sara’s torch dimmed and flickered.
“We should leave.” Annie said disappointed.
“Yeah, pity we didn’t find anything worth looking.” Sara sighed.
Just then a small glimmer caught my eye. It came from a pile of dust on a rock.
“Or did we?” I said to Sara and crept towards the glimmer. I knelt and blew away the dust and it revealed a shiny, clean lamp. I picked it up and showed it to Annie and Sara.
“Hey! It’s Aladdin’s lamp!” Sara gasped, “Why don’t we rub it? A genie might come out!”
Annie and I gave her the ‘what the heck?’ look.
“What? It’s just for fun. Genies don’t exist as we all know.” Sara said happily.
I grinned and held the lamp in the middle of our circle. We each placed a hand on it and started rubbing it immediately.
Annie, being Annie, was rubbing it ‘spazamly’ with freakish giggles.
“Annie, you weirdo.” Sara shook her head while gently stroking the lamp, “Isn’t she Jade?” she looked over to me and sighed as I was doing the exact same thing.
“Ok, let’s stop.” Annie said shaking her hand to relive the ache.
We stopped and waited for something to happen, and for a split second I thought the lamp glowed but after that, nothing happened.
“Ah well.” I sighed and shoved it in my pocket, “We knew nothing was gonna happen anyway.”
“What are you going to do with that?” Sara asked pointing to the lamp that was sticking out of my pocket.
“Keep it. Free souvenir!” I answered, “Or even better, I could sell it on Ebay! Do you know how much these things can sell for?!”
We started to turn back. We walked back up the cave’s path and crawled out of the entrance.
“Let’s go get something to eat! I’m starving!” Annie licked her lips.
“Nah, I’m not hungry.” Sara refused politely.
“Are you ever hungry?” I joked.
“Shuddup.” She smiled and shoved me, ‘Hey, maybe we should get our all-time favourite. You know, sea-salt ice-cream.”
“You can all thank Axel for that.” I smiled, “It’s his favourite food.”
“How can someone who wields fire like something so cold?” Annie asked.
“I… I dunno.” I murmured and paused. “But that’s just what makes him awesome!” I said getting all excited.
“Sorry I’m late!!!” said a voice suddenly from nowhere. It came from behind us and we quickly turned to see a blue ghost like creature. “Well, hi there!” he said friendly.
Then we ran for our lives.
“Ohmigosh!” What and who the heck was that!” Annie screamed.
“I don’t know but just keep running!” I shouted, “Umm… Follow Sara!”
“What?! Why me?!” Sara panicked.
Just then the creature appeared in a puff of sparkling purple smoke. “Stop!” he yelled and we skidded to a stop. He stood looking over us, his tall shadow looming over us.
We stood staring scared stiff at the happy-looking blue creature.
“We went off at a bad start.” he said, “Allow me to introduce myself… Drum roll please!”
Floating drums appeared around him and he drummed softly with the two sparkling drumsticks. “I am… The one and only genie of the lamp!” a party blower appeared in his mouth and he blew it while small fire works burst above him. “But you can just call me Genie!.” He said and hand-shook all of us.
“Oh! Genie! Aladdin’s pal!” I said aloud. My fear died down and I began to wonder why I was afraid of him in the first place.
“You know Al?” he asked, “No, never mind. Anyway, you girls rubbed the lamp. As my job goes, I’ll grant you three wishes. One wish each.”
All we grew hyped and excited and instantly we knew what to wish for.
“Genie, can we make our wishes?” I asked.
“That was quick.” He smiled and a pen and paper appeared in his hands. “Fire away.”
“I wish… Kingdom Hearts was right here. Like, we’ll be in it!” I said placing my hands over my heart.
“I wish we’re about the same age as the characters.” Annie grinned jumping for joy.
Genie jotted down our first two wishes and waited for our final wish.
“And I wish, Cloud loved me, Riku loved Annie and Axel loved Jade.” Sara sighed dreamily.
I looked down. I wasn’t sure about the last wish. Can you wish for love? If you can then, it’s not real right?
Genie looked unsure like me, but wrote down Sara’s wish reluctantly mumbling something.
“Jade? You ‘right?” Annie said to me.
“Fine.” I said looking happy.
“So you girls are in-lovers eh? Hey, I’ll see what I can do.” Genie winked. He cracked his knuckles and in a puff of smoke were three different weapons. “Here, you’ll need these to protect yourself. The worlds can be really dangerous. Plus, they’re free of charge! Cha-ching!”
Two dull curvy swords floated towards me. I grabbed them and they suddenly blazed with a bright and powerful fire. They were flame-berges!
“Master of magic, but weak in defence. You absorb your power from the sun or other light sources. So, it’s only common sense to stay away from the night and darkness unless you can’t avoid it.” Genie instructed being very strict on saying out of darkness.
A sword that looked similar to Riku’s floated and slipped itself into Annie’s hand.
“Master of strength, but weak in magic. You control the power of light, but will there be darkness in your heart?” then Genie smiled, “Heh, hopefully not!”
And finally a thick steel archer’s bow and a bag of acid tipped arrows hovered to Sara.
“Master of defence, but weak in strength. You have the power of poison. Even though you will be immune to all venom, please be careful. You have poison so deadly it can kill a person in twenty minutes flat.” Again, Genie sounded very strict. “Ok then, that’s it! Make sure to look out for danger. They’re crawling everywhere.”
“What is crawling everywhere?” asked Annie nervously.
“You’ll find out.” He said.
“Ok then.” Annie said feeling braver, “Goodbye!”
We waved goodbye as a foggy sparkle began to engulf us. “Seeya! Adios! Sayanora! Chow! Have a great time!” Genie smiled and clapped his hands with a huge bang!
We were all laughing and feeling freaking excited.
