Well, honestly, this case wasn't very interesting until the end. It was a little slow, but it had some amusing scenes throughout and that's what kept me hooked. (That and the fact that I need to write this full review....and Tim Roth...)

Gillian and Loker's case:
Now, at the beginning, I didn't fully understand what was going on. All I heard was blood, blood...and something about tainted blood. It was a good case, emotional on some level, but all around boring. Eli stayed in the lab, stating the obvious to the audience ("He's setting a base line" ect) and Gillian was all awesome asking the right questions and that...but she had a new temporary partner; Jack. (His last name escapes me) and he was an interesting character. Apparently he and Cal had some history together, and...he actually just took the case to take the spotlight. (As Cal predicted). Cal casts a BIG shadow, but no matter how much press you attract, Cal is so much cooler.
Now they interview some people, getting answers, and gaining questions...you know, all of the stuff that you need to keep a drama going. Until they run across a press lady taking Jack away to have a little update on the case. (This is where Cal kicks in with his awesomeness and rains in on their little parade...literally, he set the sprinklers on them in Mexico. How cool is that?)
They spot a glitch (battery change) in the video and notice a cheap vanishing act, they find the guys again and oh look, they were holding a drug lab in a blood lab. That's a little sad. But case solved, and Jack DID use it for attention, so he goes on my bad list as far as characters go. (what a jerk...he even claimed that he and Gillian "had a bit of a moment" are you kidding?)
Oh well. I missed alot of little things in this case, because I was a litte more interested in taking notes on Cal, Emily, and Ria's case. (See how Emily was involved in this one? LOVED IT! Finally, some real screentime for Emily...)

Now Cal is going away for a little vacation! His first in 6 years! Wow, talk about a work-a-holic. That's amazing, but Gillian can't wait to see him gone, playfully pushing him out of the office first scene after the credits. (Callian fans...you can squeal now...if you haven't already...)
And their first shot in Mexico, Cal's spying on his office, observing Loker's habbits....and of course, accepting a case that just HAPPENS to show up.
Now this is all about some donor woman that went missing 2 days ago "just down the beach" and after some talking and some Lightman-isms....(we need to think of a decent name for Cal's quirks...hey wait a miunet...Cal's Quirks...heh, heh...)and they find out that this woman was a 'drug user' right. Later we find out that they were just horomones for her donation...thingy.
But after the first commercial break, Cal does this neat new trick where when he zooms into the face, we actually see labels of which muscle is 'twitching' persay. (I guess Fox just got some extra money to throw at this show...well better this one than Fringe, right?!? [Sorry Fringe fans...])
Cal goes out to get some answers, Ria speaks Spanish (correct me if thats wrong) and Cal bribes a very scary man to go and drive them back to their hotel and then Emily gets into some serious trouble from her dad, going "all Nancy-Bloody-Drew" behind Cal's back. Naturally.
Ria's Role playing a Mesusse to talk to the suspected...suspect...of the missing woman, and she tells Cal that he didn't do anything. The only thing he's done is cheat on his wife. (Jerk.)
But Cal's being followed and receving some some very thretening messages. Well his 'informer' attempting to help him out with this case has nothing to do with it.
Well, Emily is mad, closes the doors on him while she's playing a game with the missing womans daughter. Poor Emily, so neglected. But Cal learns that the woman was just taking horomones and that all they have left to do is play "Happy Marriage" with Ria.
They go down to the donor clinic and quickly learn that everything there is a scam. Even the doctor. But they find out where the woman is and she is just recovering from a very scary egg transplant from the guy playing "Doctor". Well, case solved really. Cal and Emily connect a little more celebrating their last few days on vacation, and all thats left is the last scene.
Cal meets up with Gillian once again and plays around with her flowers that she recieved from Jack "check them for aphids" and all that. Gillian want's to know why Jack talks about Cal the way he does but Cal retorts "I'd tell you, but you'd think I was lying."
And Cal give's Loker his card...good on ya Cal for spying like you do! Loker might have run away if you wern't as sly as this.

Now sorry for my very brief and choppy runthough on the episode, It was very difficult to follow both of the cases this time because 1: One of them was very boring and moved along slow, 2: Both of the cases had the same amount of screentime, so it was difficult to follow along with both of the cases when they were bouncing back and forth this quick. (I did my best, but I can only write so fast.)
But I really want to talk about the emotional/social side of things once again. Because while the cases ARE inreresting (most of the time) and there are so many funny things to watch and hear now in this season, the emotional devlopment of these characters is what I really watch for. And when trying to keep track of a plot, take down quotes, and try to understand the devlopment of a chatactes...it can be a little overwhelming.

But let's begin!

Now, the lesser of charaters for now is Ben Reyonalds. He did help Gillian and Loker with the case, pulling all of the strings behind the scenes and such to get the right people in the right places...I actually miss seeing how the characters did it. (AKA, how they manipulated the system) while the whole reason Cal hired Ben was to do all of this stuff so they wouldn't have to...but until Ben's back story kicks in, he will just be a come and go character. (I mean, did you even notice that Ben wasn't in the episode last week?)

Now Loker. Anyone whose seen at least 3 episodes of this show can tell you right off the bat where Loker was, hiding in the lab, and running down the halls talking to Gillian. He is a good character, but I can't wait until they push some buttons on this character, seeing how he reacts to situations is either REALLY funny, or very intence. He is a unique character, and I can't wait until they explore that more.

Ria? Well she had a good case with Cal. Role Playing as a Messuse and Cal's wife...does she realize how lucky she is?? She helped along Cal, not that he needed it, and handled the case well, learning along with us, the audience, about the sceince. She is a neat character, but again...BUTTONS PEOPLE! Push them and see what happens!

Emily. Yes, she get's her own paragraph!! Emily actually had some involvement in this case, she pushed Cal towards it, and she tried to help him along...but all in all, got shut down by her over protective father. But hey, put yourself in Cal's shoes (or Zoe's, if you're a woman...and don't know how fathers think) but you'd act the same way. You'd want to keep your kid safe and out of harms way in a 'case' that you are working on as an adult. But all Emily wants is a little respect from her dad, and to be treated like an adult. You know, all of the stuff that any teenage girl will ask for. (That and money.)

Gillian? Well her little kafuzzle with Jack...well she didn't have much emotional progress as she normally does, so I don't have much to write about her. Only that she cares ALOT for Cal, and we really see that in this episode.

Cal. Well, he was really cool to watch. And while he was on the case too. Haha, as usual, he was all protective and such, he had great one-liners, such as "Here I was thinking we were happily married" and such. He got the case solved from manipulating and scaring the crap out of people by litterally getting into their faces. (Cool effects again, anyone?)
Cal knows how to keep his people on his side "Loker, Gillian" and such by spying on them. He even helped push the blood case along all the way from Mexico scaring the crap out of Loker. (Blue File...manipulation...I want to try that on someone some day.)

Overall...the chatacters were themselves just in a different enviorment. I can't wait till the writers start pushing some buttons on the characters and see what comes of it.
