Episode 3: Red Hood and the Outlaws #1 Review
[Warning! This review contains spoilers and swearing! Read at your own risk!]
Nick: Hello and welcome to another exciting episode of Comic Talk! I’m Nick!
Sunset Shimmer: And I’m Sunset Shimmer!
Nick: Today, we’re going to look at a publication of DCs New 52, Red Hood and the Outlaws!
Sunset Shimmer: This story starts with Roy Harper, aka Arsenal, being put into a prison in an unnamed middle eastern country.
Nick: It’s implied that he was helping some rebels overthrow a king, and then they turned on him.
Sunset Shimmer: Afterwards, a fat pastor arrives and gives a bible to Arsenal. However, the bible contains a foldable bow and arrow.
Nick: It turns out that the fat pastor is actually Red Hood, aka Jason Todd, in a costume. Red Hood frees Arsenal and they flee, being chased down by the rebels.
Sunset Shimmer: However, Red Hood says he 38 backups.
Nick: Which it turns out to be Starfire, probably the most revealing costume of all time!
Sunset Shimmer: Dear lord...I know that fanservice can be good, but this is completely unnecessary!
Nick: I’ll provide an image right here!

Sunset Shimmer: Red Hood makes a comment about Starfire being “with him”, and that girls like a giant red helmet. I speak for most girls when I say that it’s not that attractive.
Nick: After that, the trio head to the beach, showing off more of Starfire’s breasts. Seriously, the first picture showed too much of the nipple, so they edited it a little. If you really want to see the original picture, then...

Sunset Shimmer: Also, there’s a little kid taking a picture of her. Gross.
Nick: Later, Jason begins to talk to a spirit thing called Essence about a string of gruesome murders, caused by an organization called the Untitled.
Sunset Shimmer: Meanwhile, Starfire is talking to Arsenal, who is boring her, as she just wants to have sex with him. Which they do.
Nick: Also, Jason Todd goes to fight the Untitled. And that was Red Hood and the Outlaws #1.
Sunset Shimmer: So here are some pros and cons.
Pros:
The action scenes are pretty good
Cons:
Starfire’s character is...god-awful...
Jason Todd has never been the nicest guy, but in this comic he’s a huge a** in this comic!
Nick: Overall, we give this comic a 3/10, do not read!
Sunset Shimmer: Thank you for watching! Next time, we’re going to review Nova Volume #5 Issue #1!
