The Radiant Terriers headed out of town on Saturday for their first gig. They performed some songs they had written for the gig. The crowd enjoyed them, and their gig was a success. Leila looked at her mates and said, "This is our ticket to success. We're going to be famous." Greeley said, "I don't know about that." Abigail said, "I do. The audience loved us. If the right person comes to us, we'll have a record deal." Sammy remarked, "That's right. If the bullies could see us now!" Greeley said, "Indeed. I can't see them on a stage like this." After dinner, the foursome retired to their hotel. It wasn't an extravagant hotel, but the beds were comfortable. As Leila settled down for the night, she began to notice that she was becoming close with her band mates. She had never been this close with anyone other than her aunt and uncle, not even her childhood friends. For once in her life, Leila had true friends, and they were going to be famous together. She just knew it. Whenever Leila had a feeling about something, it was usually right. She went to sleep with a smile on her face, eager to see what tomorrow will bring.
