Hi, everyone! Antonia here, and it is hard to believe that we've come to the end of another year. As I am posting this, in just a few hours, we'll be in a New Year: 2023. Of course, it'll already be 2023 by the time most of you see this anyway. I have a lot I want to cover, so I'll get right to it.
This year has had its ups and downs. It has been defined by the death of many notable people. For me, the death of Christine McVie hit pretty hard, being that I'm a huge Fleetwood Mac fan. Which celebrity death hit you the hardest? Feel free to tell me in the comments. Unfortunately, I experienced some personal loss as well. A friend from high school was taken so suddenly when he suffered a seizure at the wheel and ended up drowning in a pond. I also lost my paternal grandfather. With his passing, I do not have any grandparents living.
The good news is 2022 wasn't all tragedies and hardships. There were good things that came out of 2022. I got my job with the local pet rescue center in my area, and I am enjoying that. Paul got his job at a local record store. He also added his German Shepherd Dog, Jude, to his family. Additionally, Paul came out as asexual and confessed his feelings for me were more than friendship. We are in a queer platonic relationship. It's basically a platonic, non-romantic relationship that goes beyond what most would consider friendship. We have enjoyed that.
I have quite a bit in store for 2023. There will definitely be more fan fictions. The first fan fiction of 2023 will be Everett's backstory. Rubyrings (Layla) and I will discuss the details with each other after New Year's, so stay tuned for that. There is a possibility we will do a fan fiction with new characters. I know Layla had talked about potentially doing that with me at some point. All I will say is stay tuned.
I hope you have a safe and wonderful New Year wherever you may be.
Peace and love,
-Antonia
