Two weeks had flashed by without incident, they were probably the best weeks the Animals ever had, Private found a rideable toy Jeep that could fit all the Penguins in it, and had a motor, so they had found a more manly looking vehicle. Julien had exhausted himself to the point that he didn't do any nighttime dancing, since he had used all his energy in the celebration for Pennywise's death. Not to mention, the Penguins also found a man's wallet that contained $6,000, which was more than they made from the usual pick-pocketing or the "I found a lucky penny on the sidewalk today!!" event. Private had a bad feeling in his gut that was wrong. No, it was not the 46 Peanut Butter Winkies he ate the day before clogged up in his stomach, it was the feeling that Pennywise was still there, and still trying to find a way to kill them all. Kowalski had finished his latest invention that he asked Private to test it and put the wire onto his head, but this episode was a totally different story, so when the ordeal finally ended, the team was exhausted. So they headed off to their bunks to "hit the ol' sack" and find some sleep.
The next morning was the Wednesday of the third week without incident, but things were odd for the Penguins. Skipper had headed out to the Zoovenir shop to see if he could grab a new flashlight, for they had a horribly beaten up red flashlight. As he entered, he came in with a couple of Kowalski's books, one of Chemistry, and one that told about how Alchemy was replaced by Chemistry, and he set them on a seat next to him, and looked around. He heard the door slam shut behind him, he then jumped up as he heard the slam, then tried to open the door. It refused to budge. Panicking in a fight-or-flight response, he then picked up the books and started to bang the door, he then heard footsteps coming. A human? He thought, and he knew he couldn't be caught, but then he saw the figure approach him, it had bandages around it's face, and was growling at him, then got closer, through his panic, Skipper held out the book on Chemistry and held it out in front of him to shield it from him. "Who are you?! Leave me alone!!" yelled Skipper, grabbing heavy items from the shelf.
He then started saying all the elements listed in a chemical equation page and said them all whilst throwing things at the figure. "Germanium!! Boron!! M-magnesium, L-l-l-lithium," said Skipper, getting more nervous, then he threw Kowalski's chemistry book at it and then pushed at the door, it finally opened and he rushed out as fast as he could, not even looking behind him to see if it was still after him. After heading back to the HQ, panting he locked the fishbowl entrance with a drill and several bolts. "What the deuce?!" asked Private. "What happened Skipper?!" asked Kowalski. Skipper hesitated, then he sighed loudly, he knew what he had to tell them, so he told them everything that happened, the bandaged face, the listing of the elements, and the escape. "Do you suppose..... That It's back?" asked Kowalski in a timid tone. "Not that I would want to say no, so I guess so?" said Skipper. "I told you so!!" mocked Private, "I can't lie, but, I TOLD YOU SO!!" He then bounced up and down giggling, only to recieve a slap from Skipper. "Okay!! You told me so, now listen!!" said Skipper, obviously serious about the situation.
"Thats why I felt a bad feeling in my conscience, I knew it was still alive," said Kowalski. Rico then looked around and pulled out a bomb and then pointed at the sewer. "Kaboom?" asked Rico. "No, if we go in after it and set off a bomb, then we'll end up being blasted to bits. Rico sighed and put his bomb away sadly. "So what do we do now?" asked Private. "We must warn Marlene," said Skipper. Yes, they found Marlene, safe and sound in her habitat, so it seemed. Skipper, being responsible for everyone in the zoo, then headed to Marlene's habitat, he hopped above the poorly secured fence and then swam across the moat that went between him and Marlene's rocky shelter. He didn't see Marlene anywhere, but then he looked back and heard Marlene's footsteps going to him.
