Kowalski knew what he had to do. He had to get Tara somewhere safe. He could let her stay in the HQ. Skipper would treat like a prisoner. He pulls her to a secret tunnel that lead out from his lab. They walked down the long corridor in silence. He finally stop when a hole shown above. He move aside the lid and look around the city. Tara climbed up after him.
Tara:"So where are we going?"
Kowalski:"Somewhere that I know you will be safe."
Tara:"Your not staying with me...?"
Kowalski:sighs "I can't. I have to go back to the HQ and keep them from finding you."
He leads her to an old, abandoned hotel. They go to the very top floor and he leads her to a large room.
Kowalski:"You'll be safe here. No one else knows about this place. Sure it's here but none of them know how useful it is."
Tara:"But you'll come to see me right?"
Kowalski:kisses her lightly "Of course. I'll try to come as much as possible. Every day if I can."
Tara:nods "Ok. Your sure no one will find me here?"
Kowalski:nods "If Skipper ask where you went I will tell him that I haven't seen you and you probably left."
They hug and stand there a while, locked in an embrace. Neither wanting to move away. They have grown so close that they can easily read each other. They are bonded. They are one. They don't say anything until Kowalski sighs.
Kowalski:"I don't want to leave you..."
Tara:"I don't want you to leave either."
Kowalski:"Maybe I should stay...just for tonight...just to make sure that you'll be ok here."
They walk down a dark hallway and into a bedroom. They lay on the bed, Kowalski's arms wrapped around her shoulds and Tara's head on his chest and her arms around his waist.
Tara:"How long do I have to stay here?"
Kowalski:sighs "I don't know....not long....."
He kisses her and they go to sleep....Days pass and Kowalski visits as much as he can. It's been a week and he has come to see Tara four times. On the ninth day since Tara had been staying at the hotel Kowalski came to visit her. But when he opened the door, instead of Tara running to the door to greet him, he called out and there ways no response. He called over and over and searched the whole suite. But Tara was gone......
