*2 weeks later. . .
*Alice's POV*
I was out hunting with Jasper in Alaska near the house that the Denali's were letting us stay in.
Edward left as soon as we arrived, and I was the only one who knew that he was in South America . . . dwiddling away in an old attic.
He made me promise him that I wouldn't keep tabs on Bella, and so far I've honored that promise.
But I cannot control what I see.
I had just drained a large elk when it suddenly came to me. A vision. And it was one about Bella - the first one in months.
I saw her and she looked so much more skinnier . . . hardly any color in her face, and there were deep, tired bags under her eyes . . . Her eyes that were once so full of life were now hollow, and so cold.
What has happened to my beloved sister?
And then I saw that she was holding something. And that something was a child, a baby girl probably not even a year old yet. She had the very same features as Bella but she had thinner hair, which was made of light blond curls plastered on her head. And she had crystal blue eyes.
Who was she? Why would Bella even have a human child in her arms? Unless . . .
"Alice? What's wrong?" Jasper asked from beside me, anxious that I've been standing still for nearly three minutes.
"I must go call Edward. Now."
And I took off running back to the house. When I reached my phone, I dialed Edward's number as swiftly as possible.
*Edward's POV*
My cell phone rang, Alice again.
Why would she be calling me? I would be perfectly content to just spend the rest of my existence here, in this hell-hole of a place.
But what if my family is in danger? What if she's in danger?
I groaned. I couldn't even try and think her name, for fear it would rip me up even further if I did. Besides, I couldn't possibly go back after what I did . . . lying to her like that would have to be the most criminal thing I have ever done in my existence. I could not go back to her, I had hurt her and in doing so, hurt my self beyond forgiveness.
Finally, though, I decided to answer my sister's call.
"What do you want Alice?" I answered, becoming slightly irritated since I haven't hunted in a week.
"Do you want to know what I saw today in a vision?" she asked, expecting an answer.
"Not particularly -"
"I saw Bella with a child!" Alice blurted out before I could finish my sentence.
"What?" I gasped. Bella - flinching at thinking of her precious name - with a child?!
"I saw her in a vision Edward, and she was holding a baby girl that was not even a year old!" Alice was clearly freaking out about this, though it had not yet registered in me.
My Bella? A baby? No . . . no . . .
"A baby, really?" I heard Rosalie ask.
"But that's not possible . . . she couldn't have . . ." Esme was saying but I quickly interrupted.
"Alice. Explain to me everything that you know now," I said between clenched teeth, and in a hurry she explained the vision she had.
"Edward, we are going back to Forks whether you like it or not. I will not abandon my sister when she needs help. You can choose to come or not."
And then she hung up and I slid the phone back into my pocket and stood up.
Bella . . . Bella . . . each step brought me closer to her. To my reason for living . . . my reason for existing.
I forgot to mention that this chapter is dedicated to one of my bff's who is like a sis to me, she's not on fanpop, but I love her to death and we were, once, kinda in a predicament like Bella and Alice... I love you like a sis!!! And thx so much to everyone for reading! ^_^
Enjoy! ^_^
