Here's Undying Love! Yay!!! ^_^
*Karim's POV*
"Gosh you're such a spoiled vampire," Al complained as he held out Alexi's drink out to her.
Alexis smiled, pleased, and sipped up the punch through the lime green straw. Since we scared her half to death, she first chased us but then decided instead of slapping us, she would enslave us.
And so now, for the rest of the afternoon today, we were her personal slaves.
"I'm only spoiled when I want to be," she said calmly with amusement coloring her tone.
"Oh, your greatness, how else may we please you?" I asked, giving her the vampire bow of one knee down on the ground while your right arm is crossed over your raised right knee in a respectful salute.
She grinned wider and straightened up from lying back on her lawn chair, baking in the sun. She propped her head up on her hands and eyed me speculatively with a devilish grin.
"How about you tell us more about your someone?" she prodded, and Al and Jack gasped.
"What? Seriously?" Jackson asked.
"I'm guessing you haven't told our dear brothers yet. . ." Alexis murmured, her devilish, mischevious grin taking over her pale face.
"All right! I'm so happy for you, lil' bro!" Al boomed, punching me in the shoulder.
"Thanks," I muttered, now glaring at Lexy, though I suppose I couldn't hide it from them forever.
"So what's her name?" Lexy asked, absolutely dying to know.
"Brook." I answered, enjoying the sound of her name and the pure joy it brings.
"Ohh. . ." Al pretended a swoon and Jackson laughed while Lex and I ignored them both.
"I like the name Brook. . . what is she like?" Lex continued her prodding.
I smiled, and pictured her beautiful face. "Well she is the most caring and sweetest person I have ever met. She can be eccentric and serious, and she's exuberant when she grows excited. . ." And then I remembered the terrible sadness in her brown eyes when we talked about her mother. "At times she can be very sad. She lost her mother as a child and she just needs someone there to hear her, to comfort her. . ." To love her.
My siblings grew quiet as they took in what I said.
"I say you two are perfect for each other, totally soul mates." Lex said.
"Yeah, she sounds down to earth." Jackson agreed.
"It's down right awesome that she already has you so entranced. Felicia and I are like that too." Al said. Felicia was my sister-in-law who we don't really get along with. . . but she makes Al happy, and that's reason enough to like her.
"Yes, it's already becoming hard to stay away from her," I admitted, and daydreaming about her is not helping things.
"Brook and Karim sittin' in a tree. . ." Alexis started that horrible, immature song.
"K-I-S-S-I-N-G," Al continued.
"First comes love," Jackson continued.
"Second comes marriage -"
"Enough!" I silenced them from continuing, and just then our mother walked into the garden with us.
"Karim, dear, you have a letter," she said, handing a white envelope to me.
I quickly took it, kissed my mother on the cheek, and exited out the once peaceful garden.
I journeyed up the many flights of stairs until I made it to my room. I shut my stone door and sat at my long wooden desk.
I carefully opened the envelope and I could even smell faint traces of her luscious scent. . . I opened up the letter.
Dear my always gentle Karim,
I have to say that I was pleasantly shocked that you wrote me a letter, and just when I needed it too. You have no idea how much your letter comforted and warmed me, and I thank you for that.
I would love to exchange letters with you. And you can ask me anything you wish as well. I was wondering if we could meet again in Piedmont at the large fountain where we sat and talked before. . . I must run an errand there again tomorrow around noon time.
Yours Truly,
Brook
If my heart could beat, it would be thundering right now at her words.
Oh, how I love this precious woman.
I thought this chapter was sweet, but, lol Alexis... she's quickly becoming one of my favorite characters! ^_^
