Not Your Typical Country Girl Chapter Thirty
I followed Tucker, Clay, and Isaiah to their seats. They were sitting close to the chutes but not too close. I took off my knee brace and attempted to put spurs on my combat boots. However, that did not work. I finally gave up after five minutes of trying to put them on. I put my chaps on and looked at the chutes. Isaiah was already heading that way, so I figured I should too.
"I am heading to the chutes," I said as I finished buckling my chaps.
"Alright, good luck sis," Clay said.
"We are praying for a safe ride," Tucker said.
"Uh thanks," I said as I looked at them oddly.
I made my way to the chutes. I was getting excited but nervous. The guys at this rodeo seemed buffer and bigger than the last one.
"We'll hello there pretty lady," some guy said as I got close to the chutes.
"Hi," I said as I looked passed him.
"Looking for a brother or boyfriend," he asked.
"Nope, I am scoping out my competition," I said smoothly.
"You are going to ride a bull tonight," the guy said.
"I believe that is what I just said," I said as I looked at him like he was stupid.
"Dang! Hot and tough," he said laughing.
"We'll yeah," I said jokingly.
"I am up, good luck tonight," he said.
"Thank you. You too," I said.
Well he seemed kind nice. Plus he was really cute. But he was probably too old for me. Oh well! He had a great ride; along with all the other boys who went before me. Now it was my turn to go.
I sat on this massive bull. The adrenaline starting going and I had not even got out the chute yet. I wrapped the rope around my hand but something felt off. But I just went with it anyways. I leaned back a little and nodded my head. I was out of the chute. This bull was spinning right one second and left the next. It was going crazy! This was the longest eight seconds of my life. But it didn't matter it was just me and the bull. I gripped the rope tighter but it felt funny. Something wasn't right with it. I heard the buzzer go off. I reached down with my other hand to try and get my hand out of the rope but it would come out. The bull kept spinning. I was starting to get dizzy. Before I realized what happened, my feet were dragging the dirt. My hand was caught and I was just hanging there as the bull went crazy. I could feel pain in my wrist and shoulder. I looked up at my hand as I wiggled my fingers. They were free; however, the rope had caught my wrist. The bull had ran around the whole arena. We were hearing straight for the chutes again. He turned and I was pinned in between the chutes and the bull. I felt something hit my knee. I was not too sure what it was though. I felt my hand come free as the bull pushed me up against the chutes. Harder this time. I fell to the ground as I heard a loud bang. The bull's hind legs had come up and kicked the door of the chute. I felt something against the side of my knee. It was the bully's legs. It had almost just landed on me. I was in so much pain. My ribs were killing me. Along with a bunch of other body parts. I scurried up the side of the chute as some of the boys pulled me over.
I laid on the ground as Isaiah came over to me.
"Harmony are you okay," he asked as he kneeled beside me.
"I am fine," I said lying, "go ride. Don't think about what just happened. Just ride!"
"Okay," he said as I sat up.
My head starting spinning a little bit but I manage to get up with some help of the boys around me. I stood up and drew a breath in. Only did I realize that it hurt to breathe. People were talking to me but I just kind of ignored them. I didn't feel like answering em' at all.
Isaiah had just got out the chute as I was walking away from the chutes. He had a clean and successful ride.
I felt sick to my stomach so, I hurried to the bathroom as Clay and Tucker were walking my way.
I got in the bathroom and was sick. I started throwing up. I was sweating in this non air condition bathroom. I pulled my hair up to try and relieve some of the hotness and for it not to get throw up in it. Pretty soon my stomach was empty and I was dry heaving. My ribs were killing me even more. This was the worst feeling ever.
"Harmony, are you okay," Clays voice echoed behind me.
"Getting there," I said.
I took some deep breath and focused on something other than dry heaving. I walked out of the bathroom stall once I was finished. I went to the sink and rinsed my mouth out.
"Are you hurt," he asked worried.
"Just my wrist. I have rope burn," I sated.
"You would tell me if any new injuries happened, wouldn't you," Clay asked.
"Of course," I said.
We walked out of the bathroom where Tucker and Isaiah were standing guard. Tucker was holding my brace, crutches, and spurs. They both looked at me with wide eyes and not saying anything. I stood there and took of my chaps. I put my brace back on and took some weight off it.
"You okay," Tucker asked.
"I'll be fine," I said, "thank you!"
"Are you sure? From where I was, it look like the bull stepped on you," Isaiah said.
"Thankfully he missed me by less then inch. He touched me but he didn't step on me," I said.
"Isaiah, do you still have the first aide kit in your truck," Clay asked.
"I sure do," he said.
"Okay, mind if we use some of it on Harmony's wrist," he asked.
"No, there is no need for that," I stated, "just some rope burn!"
"You don't need an infection. Plus, I told mom I would take care of you," Clay said.
"We all have to take care of you," Tucker added as I rolled my eyes.
"So, come on," Clay demanded.
I followed behind Clay as Tucker and Isaiah went back to our seats.
"I cannot wait for my ribs and knee to heal," I said.
"I bet! If that was me I would be complaining a lot more than you," he said laughing.
"Well I am doing my best no to," I said.
"I can tell," he said, "what did you think of tonight's ride?"
"Umm, it stunk. I couldn't have done any worse," I stated.
"Really? The judges didn't think so," he said.
"What do you mean," I asked confused.
"You placed third tonight," Clay said.
"Wow, they must be blind," I said laughing.
"No, it was a really good ride. Not you best but it was decent," he said, "it was a good ride up until your wrist got caught!"
"Well that is great," I said in relief.
"Yeah! You're all finished," Clay said as he tucked the gauze in to make it stay.
"Man, you weren't kidding when you said you would look after me," I said laughing.
"Hey, I can't have my little sister getting hurt anymore," he said smiling.
"If only I was born into this family," I whispered.
"What was that," he asked as he cleaned up.
"Nothing," I said, "we better get back and watch the rest of the rodeo!"
"Okay let's go," he said.

The next morning I woke up so sore. I could tell it was late morning. There wasn't the normal breakfast smell coming in underneath my door as Abigail cooked. I looked towards the windows and a ray of sunshine was coming in. I slowly got up and looked at my wrist. It looked pretty nasty since it had dried blood and bruises all over it.
I opened my curtains and looked out. Sam was out there practicing with Abigail. Sam was going pretty fast around the barrels and then she knocked one over. I walked away from the window and made my way down stairs to the kitchen. I poured some sweet tea in a glass and grabbed a few icepacks. Next, I grabbed some dishcloths so my pajamas wouldn't get wet as they thawed out. I flopped down on the couch and placed an nice pack on my knee, ribs, and shoulder.
"Oh good! You are up," Abigail chirped as she came into the living room.
"Sadly," I said.
"I can imagine you are pretty sore," she said.
"Unfortunately," I said.
"Are you okay? The boys told me all about it at breakfast this morning," she said.
"I am fine." I groaned as she patted my head.
"Well, I am going to go fix lunch! Sam is stay for lunch today" she said as her voice faded.
"Does that mean I need to clean up," I yelled.
"Yes please," Abigail's voice came from the kitchen.
I groaned as I got up and went to get ready. I could have laid on that couch forever!

Not Your Typical Country Girl Chapter Thirty Two
Clay's POV
After me and Harmony came in from the front porch, I say down on the couch. I wasn't too tired so I figured I would stay up a little bit with mom.
"Oh Harmony, before you go to bed I need to ask you something," mom said.
"Yes em,'" she said as she sat on the arm of the couch.
"Sam's parents are going to be going out of town this weekend. It's their anniversary. Johnny surprised Martha with a surprised trip to somewhere. I forgot where she told me, "anyways, Martha didn't want Sam to be staying alone at their house since she's an only child....

I had enough of sitting around the day before. Although, I did get out of going to church last night. So, I got up the next morning and helped Abigail with breakfast. I quickly ditched the crutches to the lack of mobility. It was hard getting around the kitchen and the table but I managed.
"I see you are feeling better than yesterday," Abigail said to make some kind of conversation.
"I was tired of lying around," I stated as I sat the table.
After that it was silent till we are sat down for breakfast.
The boys were still talking about the party and how much fun it was.
"Mom, Sam is going to enter...

After the sunset Tucker and I went back to the bonfire. The fire was so wide and tall. It was really pretty.
"You like to play with fire don'tcha," Tucker asked.
"Umm, I have not ever seen fire in person until the first bonfire," I said shyly.
"Really? Are you sure," he asked skeptical.
"Pretty sure," I stated.
"That is just strange! I am sorry but it is," he said smiling.
"I know," I said, "there is nothing normal about this life of mine!"
"Who cares," he said, "are you hungry?"
"I could eat," I said.
"You like hotdogs," Tucker asked.
"Yep," I said.
"Cool,...

Thankfully church was over so, I had the time to draw and escape to my world.
"See you at Nana's boys," Abigail said, "and Harmony!"
"What," I asked confused.
"We are goin' to my momma's house for lunch," she said.
"I thought we were going to get shoes," I stated.
"No, I forgot that the stores are close today because it is Sunday. I remember that I bought you some boots. So, you can wear those till we go into town," she said.
"Fine," I growled.
"Harmony, do not get an attitude with me young lady," Abigail said I gave her a smirk, "and don't give me that...

Okay. Am I in trouble? I asked.
No you are not in trouble. Billy said laughing.
I let out a sigh of relief.
I was just wondering if you really knew what Sam and his gang was. Billy said.
I do! You use to be one didn't you. I said.
Yes. Do you have any questions? Billy asked as he chuckled.
So Jake is next right? I asked.
Yes but he knows nothing of this so you can not tell him or any one else; including your father. Billy said.
Don't worry the only friends I have is the gang. ABout my father, he rarely sees me. I said.
Okay. Billy said.
Bella's here. Nice chatting with ya. I...

Scarlet Malone Chapter 50N2P
Dear Journal,
The guilt was too much. Everyone hates me. Dad looks at me like I am a muderer. No one understands what they are putting me through by the looks on their face. I want to crawl in a hole and never come out. I never wanted to come here. Everyone would be happy if I had stayed back in Texas. I was the cause of moms death. I had begged her to drop me off at the bike shop. I had killed two people. I should be in juevy. I am a murderer.

I laid in the grass at the cemetery. I closed my eyes and let the sun hit my face. It felt nice.
Wanna drink? Someone asked....

I felt like we were going to be in so much trouble. We missed church. I had only missed one church service since I started here. Now I didn't want to miss a single one. I finally understood why they wanted to serve this God. I could see how there is God now. I was stupid before. I was ignorant. Everything was right in front of me. It was in plain sight and I just couldn't see it. But everything was different now. It was a good different.
Clay pulled off from the side of the rode and headed somewhere. I didn't ask where. I enjoyed looking out the window...

Tex's POV
Talli and I ran to my truck in the pouring rain.
"Man, it's raining hard," she said with a laugh, "correction, it's storming!"
"Yeah, no joke," I agreed.
We were quiet on the way home. The rain was coming down really hard and I was being extra careful driving.
But we finally made it back to her house in one piece.
"Thanks for the ride," she said.
"No problem! If it's storming again tomorrow you are welcome to ride with me," I said.
"That'd be great," she said smiling, "see ya tomorrow!"
"Bye, have a good night," I said.
With that Talli hopped out of the truck and took...

Tex's POV
I was excited to go horseback riding with Talli for her first time. Although, she seemed scared of my horse, Lightening Bolt, for some reason. She never told me why.
Once I was in the saddle, I pulled Talli up, and she sat behind me.
"Hold on," I said.
"What do I hold onto," she asked kind of loud in my ear.
I could not help but chuckle a little bit. I was going to have to get use to having a friend that is Hard of Hearing. I did not mind talking louder but I am definitely not use to it.
I looked over my shoulder, grabbed each her wrist with my hands, and wrapped them around my waist.
"You...

Tucker had been gone for fifteen minutes. His mom had walked through the door and I was just sitting on the couch by myself. It was awkward.
"Tucker," his mom called out to him.
He came running down the stairs and into the living room without his shirt on. Which I found rather odd.
"Hey mom, you know Harmony, right," he asked, "Bryce and Abigail's new kid!"
"Oh yeah, it is nice to meet you, Harmony," the lady said, "I am Tucker's mom!"
"It is nice to meet you Mrs. Adkins," I said a little shy.
"Oh sweetie, call me Mary," she smile brightly.
"Okay," I said...

"You have officially been caught up on everything that has been going on since Wednesday night." I said to Isaiah as sniffed.
"I'm really sorry about Midnight Moon, I can imagine how much you cared bout him!" He said sympathetic.
"It doesn't matter. He was just a horse." I mumbled lying.
He wasn't just a horse. Midnight Moon was my horse.
I ordered my food and took a seat at one of the picnic tables.
"You don't have to act like that. It's okay to show grief over him." Isaiah said as he sat down across from me.
"I'm fine." I said.
"Okay. If you said so."...

Hometown Chapter Sixteen
Talli's POV
I headed to work after school. I did not get the chance to tell Tex yet. I was kind of embarrassed to tell him. I don't even know if Grandpa and Grandma know. Oh well, who cares if they don't.
I pulled up the hardware store. I walked in and threw my backpack behind the counter.
"Hey Grandpa," I said.
"Hey sweetheart, did ya have a good day?" He asked info smiling.
"Surfing was great this morning!" I smiled and then remember the wipeouts. "Well, except when I fell."
"It comes with the sport." He reminded me.
"I know. What first today?" I asked as I yawned.
"Hmm,...

I snuck out the front door at exactly 3. Luckily, Isaiah was already here. I had mention Lance I was going to a rodeo but I didn't tell anyone else. I knew Bryce would say no since I got into a fight with Finn. I wouldn't dare ask him. He would be super mad since girls aren't suppose to fight. But hey, I have 4 brothers, so it is going to happen some time or another.
I jumped in the truck and looked over at Isaiah, his mouth was wide open.
"Careful, a fly might get in there." I said laughing.
"What in the world happened to you?" he asked shocked.
"I got into argument with Finn this morning." I...

I had been working at the hardware store for a while now. I had finally saved up enough money to buy my own long board. I could not wait to get out of school and head to the surf shop. Luckily, Grandpa is pretty much allowing me to take his truck anywhere at any time.
I have an hour of school left and all I can focus on is what color board I want.
"Earth to Talli!" Tex said as he waved his hand in front of my face.
"What?" I asked as I jumped.
"Sorry, didn't mean to scare ya!" He said. "But the bell rang. School is out for the day!"
"Yes!" I smiled happily.
"Do you wanna...

Clay's POV
Harmony had to know. She heard the gunfire. We had to put him down. He was horrible when we got to him. It was a big pack of coyotes.
How were we going to tell her? She's going to be devastated.
"This is what she gets for leaving a horse out," Lance grumbled, "now we have to deal with him!"
"Look she didn't know any better. We have to look at this like its her first time at everything around here," Dad said, "now go get a tarp and cover the horse up. I'll call someone about him. Then go change, so you can start working."
Dad was right. We...
