Quill and Embry left after breakfast because they had to be somewhere. I think they had to go on vacation with their family before school. Embry's family and Quill's family were going to the same places but they did not mean to do that. Or that was the story. Quill and Embry planned it together. I do not know why, they can be weird. But a good weird.
I followed Jake to the shed out behind the house. We were fixing up motor cycles. Jake was giving it to me for my 16th birthday. He has also been teaching me how to build cars for as long as I can remember. Cars are so interesting, their are certain parts that go to a certain car, and parts you can add to them to make them sound good and look cool.
"Lila, are you out in the shed?" Billy yelled to us.
"Yeah, I will be out in a minute." I yelled. "Or it might be a while. I'm putting the motorcycle together."
"Hurry up." Billy said.
"Go, I got this." Jake said. "It is fine."
"No, I do not want to miss anything." I said. "I want to know everything!"
"Come on, we can go see what Dad wants then come back." Jake said.
"Okay." I smiled.
We walked up to the house, Charlie's truck is still here.
"Do you think I am in trouble?" I asked. "I hope not!"
"No, you have not done anything." Jake said. "Nothing that I know of."
We walked into the house and there was Charlie, Billy, and some boy around Jake's age or possibly my age.
"Lila, I am glad you came up." Billy said. "I want you to meet Charlie's son, Sloan."
"Hi, it is nice to meet you all." Sloan said.
"Nice you meet you too." I said. "I am Lila and this is Jacob."
Jake and I were about to shake hands with Sloan when we noticed that our hands were black from building my motorcycle.
"Sorry." I laughed as I wiped my hand on Jake's old shirt that I was borrowing. "Car parts can get messy."
"It's alright." He said.
"Lila, would you mind showing Sloan around La Push?" Billy asked as I sighed in disappointment.
"Sure, why not?" I said.
"I'll come with ya." Jacob said. "We should wash up some before we go into town."
"I think Dad is trying to set you up with Sloan." Jake laughed quietly. "I am so sorry!"
"Ugh, all I want to do is go work on the motorcycle!" I groaned. "I do not want to show some kid around town!"
"Look we can stay up tonight and work on it." Jake said. "I promise it will be done by your 16th birthday."
"Awe thank you." I said.
We quickly got ready and started showing Sloan La Push which took all of 15 minutes.
"Lila, I was just telling Billy how much you look like your father." Charlie said. "But you also look like your mother!"
"Oh." I muttered.
"Where are your parents?" Sloan asked confused. "Wait, is Billy your father?"
"My parents and sibling died in a house fire." I said. "I was really young, I barley remember. Jake, Billy, Quill, and Embry are practically my family."
"Oh, I am so terribly sorry!" He said. "I had know clue."
"I can tell." I muttered so low that only Jake could here.
"Jake slapped me across the arm.
"Jake, I swear!" I said. "If you hit me one more time this last week of summer, you will not be going to the first day of school!"
Jake lightly slapped me.
"That is it!" I said angry. "There is fixing to be a WWE smack down!"
"Lila, Jake!" Billy yelled. "That is absolutely enough"
I blushed, I forgot that we had company. Oh well, most step brothers and sisters fight. It is apart of life. They cna get over it.
