You could be stuck there for days, and it would only feel like seconds." Flare said and pulled out the bottle of water," the only way to wake them up is with water." " How do you know all this, Flare?" Nat asked. " I've studied the signs. You, Mom, Thorn, Nook. You were all frozen and your dreams were shown on the crystals, like a tv show. And Thorn didnt even remember being here for tree days and Bard said that him a Nook weren't eating." Flare walked to Rose to pour the remaining after on her. She unscrewed the lid and was about to pour the water on Rose, when something tackled her side. The bottle flew through the air, causing water to fall and landed in the ground and the remaining water fell to the ground and soaked into the dirt. "FLARE!" Yelled Nat and ran to her sisters side, but was stopped when someone grabbed her neck and stuck a knife to it. " Take one more step and water won't be the only thing soaking into the ground." It was Scar. Nook had Flare and Bard had Crystal and Thorn. "Well, well, well. Look who tried to escape and save her friends," Bard said," Escaping while we were asleep was very naughty." Nook traded her off for Thorn. Bard raised her off the ground. " How did you unfreeze Nook?! You had no water!" Flare yelled. Bard laughed," We're not stupid. After we found these caves, we found the crystals and learned what they did. We studied them further and figured out the only way to be unfrozen was water. We got buckets full and decided to make a little lair down here. We wanted you to think we were down by one, so you wouldn't expect it later. And now you have no way to save your friend over there." Bard pointed at Rose. Flare started to kick and punch at him," You monster! Let me go! Let me go!" Bard growled at her, " Keep this up, and you friends and family go like Rose again!" Flare settled down. Bard laughed again and tied them up seperately. Nook started to play Nightmare Crystals in front of them," Everyone keep your eyes closed! Whatever you do, don't open them for any reason!" Flare yelled. Everyone shut their eyes tight. Bard, Scar and Nook laughed. " Looks like we're going to win this time! Ha ha!" Laughed Nook. " What are you planning on doing to Rose?!" Yelled Crystal. Scar answered," we were just going to wait for the crystals to destroy her and you. Than we would be free to do whatever we want!" They all laughed again. There's got to be a way out of here! Maybe... Flare thought. " Thorn, Are you able to stomp your feet?" Flare called to him, " Um..yeah, Why?" He asked. " Start stomping them, it might help!" She called. She heard the noise of stomping, " Nothing's happ-" the whole area started to shake. There was a crash and the ski d of breaking glass. Thorn opened his eye to see that the crystal in front of him was on the ground in pieces. " how did he do that?!" Yelled Bard. Thorn rolled to line up with Rose. He stomped and sent a crack surging towards her. The crack ran along the wall and broke the mirror, shattering it to pieces. Rose blinked and looked around, noticing her brother tied up and Bard and his gang. Rose got up and without hesitation, tied them up with thorny vines. She stomped to them," You EVER harm my little brother and my friends ever again, I will make your life a living nightmare!" Bard, Nook, and Scar nodded. Rose walked to Thorn, untied him, and gave him a hug. They helped untie the others and use the ropes to tie Bard's, Nook's and Scar's hands together. " Rose, I'm sorry. None of this would've never happened if I listened to you and didn't run far from the house. I'm sorry Rose." Thorn said. Rose hugged him," that's alright. Decides, if this never happened, you would've never discovered that you could cause small earthquakes!" Rose said smiling. They climbed out of the hole and realized it was dark out. " wow, we were in there all day?" Nat said. " it's not our fault, it's so stupid crystals." Flare said. Thorn took a big stomp and the hole filled with dirt. They could hear the rumbles of the tunnels caving in," that way no one can get stuck in there." Thorn said. Rose told Crystal that she would take the three trouble makers to jail. Crystal, Flare, and Nat were walking home when Crystal spoke up," I don't think those Nightmare Crystals were accurate." Nat looked at her," what do you mean?" " Nothing would be scarier the losing you two." Crystal said hugging them both.
