Deleted Scene

“Dean, what do you think this is?” Sam said, as he pulled a video out of their dad’s car.

The car they had used two days to find, because they had to get the weapons, in the trunk, out, and get the car to Bobby, before somebody else found it. And because their dad had died, they couldn’t ask him where he had parked it, they just had to look in the area they knew he had been in.

“It just says; John, Mary, Dean and little Sammy, do you think it’s a video of us?” Sam continued.

“Don’t know, I can’t remember we should have had a video camera, but again I don’t remember much from that time before…” Dean stopped, by the look Sam gave him he knew Sam understood.

“Let’s find out, think Bobby has a player somewhere.”

As long as the Impala was under repair, they stayed at Bobby’s, and had even borrowed a car, though it wasn’t a classic, and it really bothered Dean, but after the whole demons-and-car-accident-results-in-dead-father, Bobby had taken the boys in as if they were his sons, and they kinda were, and the brothers where really grateful.

They asked Bobby if he had a video player, and to their luck he had one, and as they told him what they would use it for, he said he would let them see it alone, he wouldn’t interferer the private, family business.

The boys turned it on, and sat down to watch it. When it began, a small gasp could be heard from both.

The tape shoved Mary sitting in a kitchen, feeding baby Sam with porridge, Sam with food all over his face, and a four-year-old Dean sitting beside him, drawing, but started laugh as he looked at Sam.

……

“Smile Mary, you’re on!” John said, in a joyful voice.

“John… Couldn’t it wait till at least Sammy was done eating?” Mary said in a irritated voice, but she couldn’t help smile.

“See, Deanie can laugh, although Sam is eating, even I am smiling,” you could hear John saying from behind the camera.

“You know that’s not what I meant,” Mary said, again she couldn’t help but smile.

“Da-da, mmmmm-a,” Sam suddenly said, looking into the camera with big eyes, and a smile forming on his lips.

……

Dean smiled; that reminded him of the many times he had heard Sam saying something like that, before Sam finally said his first ‘real’ word.

……

“That’s right Sammy, see his done eating, now give me a big smile,” John said in a cheerful voice.

“Wait a sec,” Mary answered as she took a swap, and clean Sam’s face, to much irritation for Sam, who where now looking irritated at the swab.

When she was done, she turned around, looked into the camera and smiled.

“That’s my wife, the most beautiful lady in the whole world.”

“John,” Mary said as she blushed.

Dean was sitting shaking his head, as his smiled.

……

Sam couldn’t help but laugh, he was seeing a family, he had ones been a part of, but couldn’t remember, and even when everything was happy-family-home Dean gave the same smirks as he did nowadays.

……

“Don’t you sit there and smirk, Deanie-boy, what are you drawing? No wait… I just… There, now I can come over and see it myself.”

John had settled the camera on something, still with focus on the family, and then he appeared from behind, and sat down between Dean and Mary, with Sam sitting on her lap. When John sat, he pulled Dean up on his lap, and asked again.

“Now what are you drawing there, Dean,” he said as the whole family was now looking down at the paper.

“It’s us, see, you there, and there mom holding Sammy, and me there, see Sammy it’s you!” Dean said, looking proud up on his family, and especially on Sam, who where in deep concentration, looking like he was really studying the drawing.

……

This time Dean laughed, even as a baby, Sam could look like a professor.

……

“It’s beautiful Dean; let’s show the camera, shall we? Then we can show the tape to grandma and granddad, and they can see it too,” Mary said, as John agreed, and Dean just looked even prouder.

When they hold it up, Dean was pointing at the different figures.

“This is dad,” He said and pointed at a big man, who was smiling, though the mouth was too big, and went beyond the face.

“And here is mom, holding little Sammy,” this time he pointed at a women, whit long blond hair, and wearing a beautiful dress, but her arms were awkwardly holding a little baby in her arms, the baby with a pacifier in his mouth.

“And me, standing right there,” he said, pointing at a boy standing between his mom and dad, and was holding his dads hand.

……

“Didn’t now you had an artist hidden in you, Dean,” Sam said cheerful.

“Oh, shut up Sam,” Dean said not looking away from the screen.

“Without sounding, as you would say, too gay, I think it’s kinda cute Dean,” Sam said, this time with seriousness in his voice.

This time Dean looked up, and gave a shy look.

……

“Do you think grandma and granddad think it’s beautiful too,” Dean said in a nervous voice.

“Of course they will Dean, you’re an artist, and if not, we will have to talk some sense into them,” John said.

“Dad you can not hurt them!” Dean sounded scared but still determined.

“That’s not what I meant, I would more do something like this,” John said, and then started tickle Dean.

As Dean giggled, and begged for John to stop, Sam stated giggle too, and clapping his small hands and Mary couldn’t hold her smile back, either.

When John stopped, Dean spoke as if he had thought his father was going to do that to his grandparent.

“Dad, you can’t do that, grandma will be mad, and granddad will juts hit you with the newspaper.”

Mary and John started laughing, and Sam giggled to, though he didn’t knew why. But Dean sat serious and first after a minute, he realized his dad hadn’t meant it, and started laughing too.

“Oh Dean, we love you,” came a still half-laughing voice from John.

“Yeah, Dean, I want you to know that both dad and I love you very much, also Sam, we love you both, and nothing can ever change that, you understand,” Mary said in a more serious voice.

Dean nodded, and then said: “I love you too, both you, and dad, and Sammy, I always will.”

……

Though Sam knew it, it touched something inside of him when he heard Dean saying he loved him, and he could see by the awkward grimace Dean gave him, that he still meant it.

……

“Do you also love each other?” Dean asked.

“Of course we do, Dean, there are three persons I love with all my heart, and it’s you, Sammy, and your mother” John said, then looked at Mary and saw her given him looked that meant she felt exactly the same, and then he kissed her.

As they kissed Dean looked at them, then down at Sammy, who looked like he understood everything and still confused about it, at same the time.

But when Dean leaned forward, and gave Sam a kiss on his forehead, he looked like he understood, and reached out to Dean.

In the meantime, John and Mary had stopped the kiss, and had seen Sam reaching out for Dean.

“Here Dean,” Mary said and handled Sam to Dean.

Dean sat up against his father, holding Sam carefully, and talk to him about everything, and Sam looked like he listened and understood everything. It was the perfect family, with joy and happiness, and…

……

The screen went black, and the video stopped. Nobody turned, the TV of, they just sat, surprised by what they had just seen.

Then Sam spoke.

“Why do you think dad never showed us?”

“I don’t know, maybe he couldn’t watch the life we had before, couldn’t watch mom, as the date down in the corner said, it was filmed one week before the night.”

“You’re probably right, it was probably too hard, but god I wish I could remember something from that time, just anything.”

“Well, you’ve just got something, besides my stories, to show you have it was,” Dean said, trying to find a grimace which would be perfect for the situation, but didn’t seem to find any.

“Yeah… Umm Dean, you I, um, I lo… I-”

“You’re not going all chick-flick again, Sam,” Dean said, already knowing what Sam was trying to say.

“Alright, jerk,” Sam said, now smiling.

“Bitch.”

And then came a long moment, of awkward silence.

“I’ll better go out and work on the car,” Dean finally said.

Sam was up, faster than Dean.

“Do you want any help?” He said, hoping Dean would let him help, just this once.

Seeing the eager and hope Dean answered: “Of course, I could need some help actually, just promise me you DON’T and I mean DON’T touch anything without my permission.”

“Promise!” Sam said, and then they walked out to the Impala, and though they had lost their mother, and father, and had almost lost each other, they walk out there, together, as brothers, as family.

Dean walked into the cemetery with a bottle of bourbon. He had left Sam, who had fallen asleep on the couch. Dean headed to Cas’ grave and though it was the middle of the day he unscrewed the bottle and drank.
“Okay!” he shouted, looking at the sky and spreading his arms widely. “”Whatever son of a bitch is running this show now, better get your Crowley serving ass down here!”
He took another gulp while he waited, but no one came.
“Dean!”
Dean rolled his eyes and drank again. Now Sam was going to ruin it all.
“Dean, what the hell are you doing?” Sam asked when he reached his...

Dean and Sam walked away from the grave.
“What I did was for Cas, too” Meg called them back. Dean turned around and headed back to her.
“You killed him” he trembled and he pointed an accusing finger at Meg. “Now you’re going to tell me you did that for him? That’s bull crap!”
“He was begging me to stop his pain. He was so afraid of Lucifer returning to him. I had to help him” Meg appealed. She wasn’t sure why it was so important that Dean understood. She only knew it would be important to Cas.
“Cas was going to fight back and I was going to support him. You didn’t even...

All three turned to Cas, as realization punched them in the face, while Cas slowly started moving again in a spasmodic way.
“Two’s a party…” Dean said.
“…three’s a crowd” Sam added.
“He’s being possessed” Meg finished.
Cas stood and smiled.
“Well, that took you long enough” he said demeaning. “You morons have no idea how much fun I’ve been having with my little brother” His expression changed and he turned to Dean. “But, Dean…they raped me. You can’t possibly understand how fucked up I am, because of that” he acted, before he burst into laughter. “You...

Jimmy entered the local library. He walked to the desk and asked for the books on religion. The librarian gave him directions and he walked to the right section.
He walked alongside the shelves and every now and then he pulled out a book, flipped it open and browsed through it, only to conclude there was nothing useful in it.
After some time of reading Jimmy gave up. These books didn’t provide the answer he was so desperately looking for. Come to think of it, no one could be so stupid to write such information down. He left the library and headed for the church. Father Robert would be his...

Jimmy opened the door of the bedroom. He heard a voice that didn’t belong to Amelia. He snuck down the stairs until he had a clear view on the women, without being exposed. His wife was standing with her back towards him, which was good, because now he could see who the visitor was. He didn’t recognize her at first; she had dyed her hair. But when he heard her speak, he knew who she was.
“Let’s trade. Oh, and no police, or Claire will be demon meat. I used to be a demon, I still have connections. So better show up at this address with your hubby or even better, send him alone. You have...

Amelia walked to the living room where the phone was. She picked it up and called her daughter’s cell. When Claire didn’t pick up, she left a message.
“Claire, when you get this, please call me back. I’m not angry with you for taking the car without asking. I’m just really worried”
She tried to think of something else to say, but couldn’t come up with anything and so she hung up. She walked to the kitchen. Jimmy had requested some tea and she was going to make some.
When it was ready she poured the tea in a cup and carried it upstairs. She opened the door and walked inside their...

“I’m calling the police” Amelia said agitated while she walked to the phone. She dialed 911, but Jimmy took the phone out of her hand.
“And what do you think they’ll tell you? They’re not going to look for her unless she’s gone for 24 hours” he reasoned. “She’s a teenager. She’s being dramatic. She’ll come back. Give it an hour or two, but you can’t start panicking, because that’s exactly what she wants”
“I’ll give her an hour” Amelia gave in. “If she’s not back by then, I’ll go look for her myself”
“Alright, I’ll look with you” Jimmy commented....

Amelia lifted up her shirt and checked the blood on her side.
“Did I do that?” Jimmy frowned horrified. “I didn’t mean to hurt you. It’s Castiel. He’s making me do these things”
Amelia nodded tired. “Yeah, I know” she replied short. “I’ll put a bandage on it”
“I’ll help you” Jimmy quickly said and he supported his wife on her way to the bathroom.
Claire jumped out of the couch and hurried to the cupboard where she grabbed her mom’s car keys. If Castiel really was still in her father’s body, they were going to need help to get him out. She walked to the front...

The midday sun was shining high at the sky when Amelia drove into her street. Jimmy hadn’t said a word during the entire ride of fourteen hours. She parked the car on the driveway, swallowed and then turned to her long lost husband.
“Claire doesn’t know” she said with heavy and tired voice. “It all happened so fast and she was chatting with friends. I didn’t want to upset her”
“You don’t have to apologize” Jimmy commented softly. “I know it must have been a shock to you when I called you last night, but I thought it would be better than to show up on our doorstep”
Amelia...

“So, you have absolutely no idea where Castiel Novak is?” Luke asked.
Cas looked around. He’d been here before, when Isabel and inspector Morgan had interrogated him about Shannen White’s murder.
“Earth to Dean” Luke snapped his fingers. Cas looked at the fingers.
“Where is Meg?” he asked softly. It was the only thing he cared about.
“Miss Masters is in for custody” Luke replied. “There’s a fair chance she won’t come out until court. If there’s going to be one. Same goes for your friend, as soon as they find him” Luke hadn’t been informed yet, but that was only...

Dean walked inside a diner. He was hungry, so he’d have some hamburgers and a beer. He walked to a table and signaled at the waitress. She froze when she saw him, but walked to him anyway.
“What can I get you?” she asked, trying to keep a straight face.
Dean gave his order and she walked away again. She leaned towards her boss. “That’s Castiel Novak” she mumbled.
“I know” her boss commented softly and he took his phone. His eyes on Dean he dialed 911.
Ten minutes later the waitress brought Dean his meal.
“Thank you, sweetheart” Dean said flirty. “Why don’t you sit down?”...

Meg walked through an alley when her phone buzzed. She pulled it out of her pocket and looked at the screen.
“What?” she said hostile.
“Meg?”
She recognized Dean’s voice, but there was something about the way he said her name. There was only one person who said her name like that.
“What do you want?” she asked, determined not to let het guard down.
“Can we meet?” Cas asked. “At Butterfield Park?”
“Sure” Meg gave in. “See you there in ten minutes”
Ten minutes later Meg stood by the swimming pool in Butterfield Park when Cas walked her way. Before she knew what happened...

The hospital
The cleaning lady was mopping the hallway when she heard something buzz. She followed the sound and knocked on a door. When no one answered she opened the door and found the guard dead. She screamed and dropped her mop.
Luke opened the door to the office of the security footage. Chief Barnes and Victor, the guy that was responsible for the security footage were sitting at a desk, looking at a computer.
“Bad news, chief. Our guard has been found dead, murdered” Luke said. Barnes looked at him for a few seconds, making Luke feel somewhat uncomfortable. “Eh…aren’t we supposed...

Dean quickly showered. Though he wanted to go and find Cas as soon as possible, he was also determined to take care of Cas’ body, while he was in it. Looking in the mirror he checked the tattoos again. He would have to ask Sam whether he recognized it and if he didn’t, they could still look it up.
Dean hurried in his clothes and then took his phone and dialed Sam’s number.
“Dean?” Sam asked urgent.
“Yeah” Dean said with Cas’ voice. “Okay, don’t freak out, but something happened. Cas and I are in each other’s bodies and this time it’s not physical”
Sam didn’t respond...

Dean, Sam and Meg were sitting in a diner. Meg was having fries, Sam was having a salad and Dean was having a cheeseburger. Or at least there was a cheeseburger lying before him, begging to be eaten, but Dean merely pricked it with his finger.
“What are you thinking about?” Sam decided to break the ice.
Dean put the burger down, figuring he wouldn’t be able to eat anyway.
“Cas” he answered honest.
Sam and Meg exchanged looks.
“Yeah” Sam commented slowly. “I still can’t believe he tried to kill you”
“He only threatened to kill me, because you chose a demon whore over your...

Cas and Meg’s mansion.
It was ten o’clock in the evening and Maryana, the witch was back. Anna had informed her that the coast was clear. Sam, Meg and Dean were not going home just yet.
She conjured a white chalk and marked a circle of average size. Then she put candles inside the circle, surrounding it completely. She lit the candles with her mind and then took a bowl and a bag with herbs. She pulled out the herbs one by one and crushed them on the bottom of the bowl, while chanting a Latin incantation.
She put the bowl down and conjured a picture. Cas and Dean were both on it, but there...

Sam was back home. He had given his statement to the police and they had no reason to question it. Anna was there, too and she wasn’t alone. She had brought a woman with her.
“Sam, this is Maryana, she’s a witch” Anna introduced the woman. Sam squeezed his eyes in suspicion.
“You brought a witch here?” Sam exclaimed. “You know we can’t trust them. They’re selfish”
“I’m standing right here, you know” Maryana pointed out.
“I know it’s risky” Anna started to explain. “But right now I think it’s the only option we have. Cas has gone completely off the rails and...

Meg was pacing up and down the living. Sam had been trying to reach Dean, but without success. He didn’t get it. Half an hour ago Dean had insisted that they would have to turn Cas in. It would break their hearts, but they had no other choice. Sure, they had killed as well, but those were monsters. Cas was simply a murderer.
“I still can’t believe Dean kissed Cas” he said, still a little perplex. “I mean, I know they have a…more profound bond, but I never thought of it like that”
Meg stopped pacing and turned to Sam. “Do you mind? I’m trying to erase that image from my memory”...

Cas parked the stolen car in front of their house.
“Home sweet home” he said softly and smiled at Meg, who smiled back nervously. He got out of the car and walked to the front door.
After a few seconds Meg followed him, but still kept her distance. Cas opened the door and stopped Meg from going in.
“There’s someone here. I can feel it” he whispered baleful. He grabbed Meg’s wrist and pulled her along. “Hello?” he called, but no one answered. Then he heard someone strike a match and he pushed Meg away.
The next moment he was surrounded by a holy circle and the fire illuminated...

Meg sat next to Cas while he was driving Isabel’s car, though she didn’t know that.

“You appeared out of nowhere. I want to know how you did it” Meg insisted.
“Anna helped me” Cas shrugged, hoping that would explain it all to his partner in crime. However, it didn’t.
“Anna?” she frowned. “No. No, Anna wouldn’t have left you alone with me. She’s been tracking you down since you left Sam and Dean to go on a murder spree”
Cas cast her a furious glance and for a moment...
