After Geoff took Harold home, he headed to Bridgette's house, to take her home. Bridgette, however, had a funny look in her eyes while Geoff was driving. Geoff began to notice it too.
"Bridgette, are you alright?" he asked.
"Well yes, I suppose.,"she said."Why do you ask?"
"Because you're acting funny. You look like you've seen a ghost or something."Geoff said,"Come on Bridgette, what's wrong?"
"Nothing Geoff, I'm alright."she said,"It's just that ummm.."
"Wait a minute,"he said, interrupting her,"did you see something that happened over at Trent's house? That you weren't supposed to see.?"
"Well, if I tell you, you might get shocked by it."she said."How's about we wait until we get to my house?"
"OOKaay."said Geoff.
After they got to Bridgett's home, he pulled along her driveway. Then he said" Alright Bridgette, spill it."
"Now promise me you won't get shocked by it."she said.
"Bridgette!!"he said, getting angry at her.
"Alright, alright, I'll tell you. But promise me you won't tell anyone, o.k.?"she begged.
O.K., now tell me please!"he said.
"O.K. Geoff, now you tell me. What would you say if I told you that Courtney was hitting on Trent?" she asked.
"Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!" laughed Geoff.
"But I'm serious Geoff, it's no laughing matter!" said Bridgette.
"Oh, come on(tee-hee-hee)you've got to be kidding me. Seriously, Courtney making the moves on Trent? I don't believe it."he said.
"But it's true, I saw it all before we left Trent's house.!"she explained.
"But how can this be?" he asked."I mean, Courtney never had eyes on Trent before?"
"Don't be too sure about that Geoff. You and I really don't know her as much as we thought."said Bridgette.
"I just can't believe it, Courtney and Trent? It's just so outrageous!"Geoff commented.
"Bridgette,you've got to give me all the details, What happened?"
"Well, if you'd remember I went back inside to get the camera that I left behind. When I picked it up from the coffee table, I heard noises coming from down the hall at Trent's house. I looked down the hallway and I saw Courtney touching Trent's face. Next thing I knew was that she was kissing and hugging Trent. And Trent slowly began to wrap his arms around her. Afterwords, she began to cry on his shoulder and embrace him."Bridgette explained.
"Is that all?"Geoff asked.
"No,"Said Bridgette."I believe they talked for a while but then they made out again. After that, they disappeared into Trent's room. Oh dang, I can't believe it."
"So then what happened?"he asked.
"I don't know,"she said,"I was about to leave. When suddenly I tripped over a foot stool. After that they came out of his room one at a time."
"Oh my god, that's impossible!"Geoff said. "Courtney hitting on Trent? Trent finding love and affection without Gwen? It's unbelieveable!
"But it'[s true, Courtney did it just like Gwen did to Duncan!"Bridgette said. Then, she sighed and said,"Now what are we going to do?"
"Excuse me Bridgette, what exactly do you mean?" Geoff asked.
"Well, Gwen is going to want to know how Trenton is, remember? After all she is worried sick about him."Bridgette explains.
"We're not going to tell her anything."said Geoff.
"But Geoff, I just can't tell her nothing! Besides, she is my best friend you know."Said Bridgette.
"Well look sweetheart, why don't you tell her that Trenton is o.k. but he doesn't want to be disturbed by anyone."Geoff told her."After all he didn't lo9ok too happy to see us when we foun dim at the park."
"But Geoff,"said Bridgette,"I've got to tell her more than that.!"
"No you won't Bridge,"he told her,"if you do, you'll only be causing more trouble. And we really don't know why Courtney did it. Although, I have some ideas."
"B-b-but Geoff..."said Bridgette.
"No buts Bridge,"he said interrupting her,"I don't want anymore trouble. Now promise me you won't tell Gwen anything about Trent and/or Courtney,o.k..Just tell her what I told you to."
At first, Bridgette didn't say anything to Geoff. Until, he said,'Come on Bridge, say it.!"
"O.K.,o.k. I promise. I promise I won't tell anyone about Courtney and Trent. Does that suit you?"she asked.
Geoff gave her a funny look at first. But then he smiled and said,"Alright Bridgette,I trust you, for now."
So she kissed Geoff and said goodnight to him. Then she went into her house and Geoff went home. However, Bridgette had other plans on her mind.

Bridgette;s P.O.V.
What am I going to do? I cannot just break my promise3 to Geoff and Trent! And yet I know that if I don't fell Gwen something, she'll breakdown and probably do something stupid. Just to get rid of her guilt. Perhaps I should sneak over to her house and tell it to her face to face. After all, I still have the video camera and Trent's performance on it. And besides, if I don't show her or tell her about how Trent feels, she might hate me for it. This is oh so confusing but I'll figure something out. After all, Gwen is my best friend. And something has got to be done to settle this.

So that night, Bridgette decided to call up Gwen and tell her about Trent. However, she knew that she couldn't tell her about everything that happened. So she did her beat to keep it a secret. It was 11:45 when she finally gave Gwen a call on her cell phone.
RING, RING, went Gwen's cell phone as Bridgette called her. However, she was asleep at that time."Hello."said Gwen.
Hey Gwen, how are you doing?"Bridgette asked.
"Bridgette,"she said,"it's almost midnight. Why are you calling me so late?"
"Sorry Gwen,"said Bridgette,"I just wanted to tell you that we found Trent. And he's o.k.."
"Really!? Oh thank God, I was so worried about him! I didn't know what to do."she said." So where is he? Are you sure he's o.k.?"
"Yes Gwen but ummm, he said he doesn't want to be disturbed by anyone."said Bridgette.
"B-but why?"asked Gwen."All I want to do is talk to him and sort things out!"
"Well I'm sorry Gwen but he doesn't want to be disturbed by anyone."she said.
"Oh, come on Bridge,please?"Gwen begged."You've got to let me speak to him.Please Bridge, I'm your best friend, you've got to help me, please?"
Bridgette began to feel guilty about it. She wanted to tell Gwen but she couldn't break he promise with Geoff. However, she did have an idea that she was going to do.
So she said,"Gwen listen o.k., I can't tell you anything else over the phone right now. But perhaps if you aren't doing anything tomorrow. we can get together and I'll show you something really special tomorrow. But I don't think you are going to like it that much."'
"I'll do just about anything to see him. Besides, I really miss that big jerk."Gwen cried.
"O.K., o.k., stop crying,"said Bridgette."Call me when the coast is clear and I'll be at your house as quickly as possible."
"Thank's Bridge, your the best."she said cheerfully.
"You're welcome Gwen,see you in the morning."Bridgette said. And then she hung up her cell phone and went to sleep.
So the next day, Gwen called up Bridgette and told her that the coast was clear. Her mom was out shopping and her little brother was over at his friend's house playing. So bridgette showered, got dressed and headed over to Gwen's house in her car. When she arrived, Gwen greeted her outside, even though she looked worried.
"Well Bridgette, tell me, how's Trent?"she asked in a flurry of words."Where is he, what's he doing? And how come you didn't invite me over to the party at his house?"
"Woe-woe-woe slow down Gwen! You're hyperventilating too much." said Bridgette.
"I'm sorry Bridge, it's just that I was so worried about him. I mean that he's the only real friend that I have.!" said Gwen.
"Well what exactly do you mean Gwen?"asked Bridgette."Am I chopped liver or what. Besides, you're not going to tell me that all that stuff he told us last night is true, are you?"
"Excuse me, what are you talking about?"Gwen asked.
"I'm talking about last night at Trent's house. And how did you know that we kinda had a party at his place?"Bridgette asked.
"Oh come on Bridge, it's no wonder why you called so late last night ."said Gwen.
"Well you're right Gwen, you're right."said Bridgette."We sort of did have a party last n"But why didn't you guys ask me to come on over to his house to see him?"she asked.
"Because Gwen it was for your own good. And I'm glad you weren't there to hear all the things that Geoff and Trent said about you."said Bridgette."Besides Gwen, he really doesn't want to be disturbed by anyone."
"Now Bridgette, what exactly are you talking about?"she asked.
"Gwen look, I'm not supposed to be talking to you about this. But between the two of us, I think it would be3 best if we went into your house, to talk about this, alright?"Bridgette replied.
"Alright Bridge,"said Gwen,"come right in."
As they both went into Gwen's house, the sat down on the couch to talk. And as Bridgette talked, she told Gwen everything except what happened between him and Courtney. About how sick and tired he was of being on too many TV and radio talk shows. How much she was sitting next to him too many times during thoise shows. The way it made him feel uncomfortable. How he hated Duncan for taking Gwen away from him. And how he nearly killed himself with his fisherman's knife, his grandfather gave him.
"Well I'll admit that Duncan did seduce me, which I doubt I'll ever get over soon. But why would he do something like that!?"Gwen asked."I didn't want him to kill himself! I just wanted him to be one of my best friends. You know, have a real special friendship like, ehh."
"Gwen, don't you realize that that's like using
Trent as a second toy or tool or something?!"Bridgette told her."Besides, you should know by now that big kids like us aren't just interested in friendships between our opposites. It's either true love or nothing."
"But it's not fair.!"said Gwen."I barely had any chance to speak to him alone. remember during and after the world tour? How I'd always try to talk to Trent alone but we were always interrupted by either Duncan or someone else! I mean jeez, Duncan never stopped bragging about how he saved my life from that lava rock that nearly killed us."
"That wasn't Duncan, you know."Said Bridgette.
"What do you mean?"Gwen asked
"I mean that Duncan wasn't the one who saved your life, that was Trent."she said.
"Are you serious?!"Gwen asked, devastated like.
"Of coarse Gwen, I was there remember? Everybody made it to shore. But when me you and Izzy didn't quite make it, Geoff,Trent,and Owen swam out to search for us. After that, I came up in Geoff's arms,. Owen found Izzy bobbing for air. And Trent came up with you barely breathing."
Bridgette explained.
"Then how come when I woke up, I saw Duncan caring me to shore?"Gwen asked.
"Because Gwen, after he rescued you and gave you CPR, Duncan came in and stole you from his arms. That's why he hates it when you sit too close to him. And that's why he hates Duncan for stealing you away from him, twice."Bridgette said, finishing her story.
"But Bridgette, I still don't understand why I can't talk with him,"said Gwen."Couldn't there be some way we could talk this out?"
But Bridgette didn't respond to her question. For she knew that Gwen was going to ask her too many questions about Trent. And she knew that many of her answers were going to hurt her mentally. She had to make her move as quickly as possible.
"Damn it Bridgette!"said Gwen."Are you listening to me?"
"Yes Gwen, I hear you so calm down!"she said."And besides Gwen, I don't know how to tell you any more without hurting you. After all, we are b.f.f., aren't we?"
Gwen nodded yes but she still looked sad and puzzled. Then she said,"I'm sorry Bridge."
"That's o.k. Gwen."she said."Look Gwen, I'll tell you what. I'll play the recording of Trent for you. However, you're going to hate it after it's over with."
Gwen got angry and said,"Just play the DVD recording already Bridgette, sheesh!"
"Alright Gwen, don't say I didn't warn ya.!"said Bridgette.
So she played the recording of Trent's performance. At first he said hello, how much he missed her, and how the song was dedicated to her. However, as Gwen heard him sing,"Every Rose Has It's Thorn.",she became sad and devastated. Why would that song remind him about her?
When the recording was finished, Bridgette took on e look at Gwen's shocked face. Then she asked,"Well uhh, Gwen, what did you think?"
Gwen glared at Bridgette for one moment, then she started to cry. She was so upset that she really didn't want to talk about it. Even though she wanted to know why he would even think of dedicating that song to her.
"Oh Gwen,"said Bridgette,"I told you you'd hate it."
"(sob)It's not that Bridge. It's the fact that he'd do something like that.(sniff)How could he sing that song about us if he didn't even try?"cried Gwen.
"But Gwen,"said Bridgette, trying to comfort her,"don't you remember what I told you? Besides, you and two had very little chance to make up.'
"I know that Bridge,"she said."(sniff)But don't you see what it makes me look like?"
"No, what Gwen?"said Bridgette.
"the same thing it made Brett Michaels's x-wife feel and look like. You know, the black rose.(sob)How could he even think of all of those things about us like that?(sniff)"Gwen said, sadly.
"Well Gwen,I'm not the one to burst your bubble, but let's face it. You two never did have a strong relationship. Besides, you were the one to break his heart and didn't even notice it until now."Bridgette said.
Gwen said"(sob)Bridgette, you're really not helping me at all you know.!(sob)"
"That's because I'm trying to make you understand Gwen,"she said."He's not your boyfriend anymore. It's best that you just stay away from hm for now."
"(sniff)Some friend you turned out to be."said Gwen as she continued to weep.
Bridgette began to feel more guiltier than before.She couldn't stand seeing Gwen so sad. Yet she still had to help her talk to Trent without putting the blame on her self. Just then she remembered the story Trent told them about the fight that he got into wit Duncan."Aww Gwen, I'm sorry but maybe there's someone else who can help you."said Bridgette.
"(sniff, sniff)Yeah, who?"she asked.
"Well, riddle me this,"Bridgette asked,"did you hear any noise outside your house yesterday?"
"Yeah."said Gwen, now drying her tears.
"Well believe it or not,that was Trent and Duncan fighting."said Bridgette."He found Trent's house but instead of them talking peacefully, they fought over you. Why, Because of something that happened over at the parking lot yesterday, probably."
Gwen began to blush a little after hearing about it. Then she said,"Maybe that's a secret we both wan to keep."
With that, Bridgette smirked at Gwen and said."Well look Gwen, if you're not going to tell me what happened between you and Trent. And it';s obvious that I'm not telling you anything else about Trent. Then why don't you ask Duncan whee rent lives? Although I doubt that he'll tell you anything."
"Why?"Gwen asked.
"Because it's obvious that Duncan is going to be ticked at Trent after the fight they had."said Bridgette."Besides, he started it even though Trent finished it."
Ar that point, Gwen to think for a moment. TT^hen she began to realize that Duncan could care less about what would happen to Trent. Even though she had to find out for herself, she still couldn't believe all the trouble Duncan caused.
"Bridgette, Will you do me a favor?"Gwen asked.
"What Gwen?"said Bridgette.
"Will you please take me over to Duncan's house?" said Gwen."He's got a lot of explaining to do in front of me."
"Wellll yeah,"said Bridgette,"but I don't know where he lives.?"
"Yes you don't but I do."said Gwen.
