A month had passed since George and Pattie were officially engaged, and I am happy to say that preparing for the big day has been going smoothly for them thus far. Aside from setting the date and writing down their guest list, the latter began staying overnight in Kinfauns at least twice a week as a way of getting herself ready for their new life together.
One day, the soon-to-be groom met with the other Beatles (who were overjoyed after telling them about the news) at Abbey Road Studios to discuss about their roles in the coming ceremony. George said, "So John, in addition to leading our guests to their seats inside the chapel, I would like you to arrange and be the host of my stag party (for those who are curious, this is the UK term for bachelor party) which shall take place the day before." John did a salute and replied, "As you wish, me mate!" George smiled cheekily in response. He then continued, "Ringo, you'll (fittingly) be in charge of carrying and presenting our wedding rings." He replied, "Jolly good! I'll be sure to keep them safe, too." Sparkie, being the adorable hedgehog he is, made a noise that sounded like he was saying, "Uh-huh!" "And Paul, I'm giving you the honour of being me Best Man. You will also play "Here, There and Everywhere" on piano as our entrance music!", finished George. Paul was touched upon hearing these words and exclaimed, "Aww... Thank you so much, Geo! I'd be delighted to do that for you and your lovely lady." "Splendid!", replied George. John said, "All right! I think that settles our duties. This is certain to be a bloody magnificent wedding we ain't gonna forget!" With that, the mop-topped lads shared a loud high five.
