The movie coming out looks like it's going to be pretty unfaithful but I'm glad that it's at least in black and white. The actor who plays Jonas looks way to old in my opinion (but it's Hollywood I mean look what they did with Percy Jackson). Regardless I'm gonna try and go see it because the book is one of my all time favorites. Posted over a year ago

It didn't stick to the story line very well, but it still got across most of the most important messages in the book and portrayed emotion/love very well when the memories took place. I personally believe it still does not compare to the book but is still a very good film. over a year ago

2/26 Everyone in life needs to understand that Individuality is an important role of one's life. In “the Giver” by Lois Lowry, the main character shows that Individuality is an important part in your life. The novel encourages readers to celebrate differences instead of ignoring them or pretending they do not exist. The giver is a story about a young man having the ability to dream and desire far beyond of what anyone else in the community is capable of doing. Lowry uses symbols and description throughout the story to show the theme of the importance of individuality. Chloe Novin over a year ago
