ANNABETH’S POV

ANNABETH SCANNED THE DECK FOR THE ROPE. Cabin 9 had invented it. It was a magical rope that grew until any length desired. She attached it to the frame of the deck. Annabeth helped to aid her friends down the Argo II. Finally, she landed on Camp Jupiter. She looked at what was going on. Everyone was crowding around Jason. Leo was sitting on a rock, fiddling and playing with a rubix cube, while Piper was talking to some of the Venus girls.

Everybody seemed to be doing something. But not Annabeth. She didn’t exactly know what to do. She wanted to talk to Percy. She wanted to see him, speak to him, hug him, and kiss him. They had been separated for too long. Annabeth leaned against a pillar. She didn’t know how to, however.

Suddenly, she spotted him. He was walking alone, apparentely his two friends she saw earlier on weren’t with him anymore. His messy black hair looked even better now, for some reason. He still had the same green eyes. He looked cute- but troubled too. He kept looking around, as if trying to find someone. Annabeth’s heart palpitated wildly. Could it be? Could it be that he was looking for her? Annabeth gulped. She was… afraid. She didn’t know whether he had remembered her, or found someone else and would reject her?

Then he looked at her. She started into his sea green eyes and melted inside. She knew that he had remembered her. She just knew it.

She was frozen, but she managed to force herself to walk towards him, then run.

One step closer.

She needed to reach him. She spent forever, looking for him. She loved him. And he loved her too. She just knew it. She wasn’t afraid. She wasn’t afraid.

PERCY’S POV

Gods, she was beautiful. She looked more beautiful than ever.

They ran towards each other. Annabeth threw herself into his arms. Annabeth hugged him and refused to let go. She tiptoed and her head was on his shoulder. She sobbed. “Why did you leave me?” She asked, heartbroken. “I mean, I know it isn’t your fault, but don’t you see how much I love and need you!?” She cried.

She continued. “I was worried sick, Percy! I couldn’t eat or sleep for months. I- I missed you.”

Percy was stunned, but he hugged tighter. He knew it then and there that he would never let her get taken away from him again. He pulled back and put his hands onto her shoulder. He looked at her and took a deep breath. Everything he’d been through, everything he struggled with led to this. It was their moment.

“It’s okay,” her head was down and Percy lifted her chin up. “I mean, we’re together now, aren’t we? I love you Annabeth. Forever and always. I missed you too, you know. I never stopped thinking about you.” He smiled. He cupped her face and kissed her. Oh gods, he didn’t remember their kisses being this good. He could have stayed that way forever, but he noticed that everyone was silent. He realized that everyone in camp Jupiter had diverted their attention to him.

He pulled away and the both of them blushed.
