Elena's lost a lot

As far as I know, Elena isn't a popular character. People criticize her for toying with the Salvatores, not being sure of what she wants, etc, etc... But put yourself in her position. She's lost every parental figure she's ever had - five, to be exact. Three of them died to assure she wouldn't. The only family she has left is Jeremy. Everyone she knows is dying, not just the parental units. Caroline became a vampire. You can see the theory of Elena blaming herself. Everyone's willing to die to keep her safe.

She drove alongside other cars, causing other drivers to honk. She ignored them and ten minutes...

Jeremy was standing in front of Bonnies house. Caroline had told him about the party tonight and he planned on offering to escort Bonnie to it. Part of him said ‘Screw her, dude. She dumped you to hook up with Damon Salvatore, the dick that killed you’, but another, much louder part said: ‘You still love her and despite what she’s done you want to give her another chance. She would do the same for you’

So from S1 until S3 the writers and the fans have portrayed/ seen Stefan as the “good” brother as the “saint” the selfless brother and all that crap. But if you really open your eyes for one second of this picture perfect you will see the truth. That Stefan from day one LIED and kept secrets, hides his past and made his brother out to be the “big bad wolf” and him as the scared little boy who has done nothing wrong.

Ian Somerhalder's plans to go to New Orleans for a Halloween themed Mardi Gras were cut short when he acknowledged on twitter that he was too sick and needed to rest. That did not stop him though from attending a ‘Vampire Diaries’ Halloween party for a few short minutes dressed up as his ‘Vampire Diaries’ brother ‘Stefan Salvatore’.
