I looked at my locket that each of us have. I took it off and opened up and what I saw is exactly what I thought. Summer was starting to freeze because the snow was sticking, so in fear I flipped my locket over. It read 84 days. I looked up to see Jake with an outreached hand. I took it as I said I need to talk to my sisters alone. Everyone nodded as the three of us walked down the hall while the others were shown to their rooms. In her room we each touch a seat on the edge of her bed. Asher put her hands over mine and said please don’t tell me there is a number on the back of your locket. I looked up to her and replied there is, so now we have a time limit to set the seasons back in control, but I’m only going to get weaker as the days go on. Asher gave me a hug as tears streamed down our faces while Krystal sat there trying to figure it out through her tears. I took Krystal’s hands and said each one of the four of us has a locket for the season we are the guardian of, and on the back it will say unknown or a number of days if death is approaching. However that number can go back to unknown if we set the seasons back in time, but if not summer will go back into darkness until someone else can be the guardian. I know you don’t want to say goodbye, so we need to go to Autumn because Spring is now Miele’s since she is of age which is fourteen. So are you all up for another adventure? Krystal nodded and Asher replied I’m in but you need some rest, so let’s go down to dinner and then you can rest up. I walked down the steps with two of my sisters after we changed into evening dresses. My dress was light pink with pink lace sleeves, off the shoulder and a full skirt while Krystal’s was a deep red color with long sleeves laying off the shoulder and was an A-line, and Asher’s looked like mine just in an icy blue color. I smiled when I saw my friends, and I felt all tingly when I saw Jake in a tux at the bottom of the steps. He held his arm for me and said to my older sister if you don’t mind I would like to speak to Flora privately in the gardens. She nodded and replied yes go ahead and we will see you two at dinner. The two of us walked outside in the light snow falling to the garden that were filled with all sorts of flowers that looked like glass. After walking through the maze, we found a bench and sat down. He took my hands and said Flora, I have something to tell you that I should have said a while ago but was too afraid to tell you. I looked at him and smiled and replied same here. He smiled and brushed one of my curls back and said I know I’m no prince, just a captain of the guard, but I’ve always been in love with you. We’ve been best friends since we were little, and I was jealous of Helia because he was a prince who you were destined to marry. I always hid my feelings, but I just can’t keep them contained anymore. I understand if you don’t feel the same way. I smiled as I replied I don’t care about the titles, all I care about is the person inside and that’s all that matters. I’ve told you things I’ve never told anyone else because you are my best friends, and you know me better than anyone else. I just wish you would have said something else earlier because I only have 84 days left.
