Welcome to a place called The Island Of Errol. A place that is run by five railroads. It has hundreds of engines, and lots of trains in the four towns, Mossberg, Hunterdon, Zorrin, and Eastwood.

Episode 2: Making New Friends

Makenzie was new to the Mossberg Narrow Gauge Railway. She was nervous about it, but was willing to do her best. She got to the engine sheds, where she saw an orange microphone stick out of a small shack. The orange mic belonged to Mr. Swanson, the narrow gauge owner.

Mr. Swanson: Good morning. You must be Makenzie. Correct?
Makenzie: Yes sir.
Mr. Swanson: Good. I want you to take a passenger train into Santa Cruz. You'll be going off the island, and into California to deliver passengers that want to explore the island. Real estate here is starting to develop, so it's a possibility some of the passengers on your train might buy a house.
Makenzie: Okay.
Mr. Swanson: I want you to go to the yards quickly now. Pick up four passenger cars, and get into Santa Cruz.
Makenzie: Right away sir. *Goes to yards to collect her passenger cars*

As Makenzie got to the yards, she saw a diesel that looked very familiar to her.

Dustin: Myrtle?
Makenzie: Oahu?
Dustin: It's really great to see you again! I heard that they sent you to another railway months before our old line closed down.
Makenzie: The LK&P closed down?
Dustin: Yeah, but thankfully Mr. Swanson managed to buy me, Anaka, Hattie, and all our rolling stock.
Makenzie: They changed my name to Makenzie.
Dustin: Aw, they also changed Anaka's name. They changed it to Casey Jones. Mine was changed to Dustin, but they didn't change Hattie's name. She's finally restored, and capable of pulling trains.
Makenzie: Not bad. I think we'll stick to our new names. Let Casey Jones know I'm here, because I really wanna see her again.
Dustin: Will do. I got four coaches ready for you to take. Better hurry.
Makenzie: Okay. *Goes to collect her passenger cars*
Dustin: Take care of yourself.
Makenzie: With pleasure. *Couples up to passenger cars, and pulls them out of the yards*

Before heading off the island, Makenzie had to pick up passengers. She was worried about her previous jobs pulling trains on Sodor, and wanted to pull her train without acquiring any wheelspin.

Makenzie: *Waiting for passengers to get on her train*
Conductor: All aboard.
Makenzie: *Pulling her train* (No wheelspin so far. Excellent.) *Starts to go downhill* Wheee.

Meanwhile at the sheds.

Dustin: My work is done Mr. Swanson. Let me know if you have anymore jobs for me.
Mr. Swanson: Good job Dustin. Casey Jones, and Kaela are on their way back from doubleheading a freight train to the harbor. Keep them company.
Dustin: Yes sir.
Casey Jones, and Kaela: *Backing up into sheds surrounding Dustin*
Casey Jones: Hi Dusty.
Dustin: Hello.
Kaela: Why don't the three of us work together?
Dustin: Mr. Swanson needs me collecting cars for you ladies.
Casey Jones: I wish you could pull trains with us.
Dustin: Yeah, me too. Guess who just arrived on our line.
Casey Jones: A new engine?
Kaela: I wouldn't know.
Dustin: Myrtle.
Casey Jones: *Excited* Myrtle?
Kaela: Who?
Dustin: She used to work with us on our line in Hawaii, but she broke down, went to another island to be repaired, and worked there for a while. They changed her name to Makenzie, and now she's part of our railway.
Casey Jones: Oh that's so excellent. We must tell Hattie if we see her.
Mr. Swanson: Leave it to me. I'll contact her once she reaches her destination.

Meanwhile, Makenzie reached Santa Cruz. She was surprised by how long the bridge was, and was prepared for the return trip.

Makenzie: Man. There's a lot of passengers here.
Conductor: All aboard.
Makenzie: *Blows her whistle, and pulls the train*

Back on the island of Errol, Hattie stopped at the second freight depot on her way back from Mossberg Harbor. She was dropping off seeds for farmers to plant crops, and rubber which would be used for making automobile tires.

Station Master: Well done Hattie. Mr. Swanson has some news for you.
Hattie: What is it?
Station Master: A friend of yours from the LK&P is now back.
Hattie: Myrtle?!
Station Master: Yes, but her name was changed to Makenzie.
Hattie: I can't wait to see her again.
Station Master: I bet you can't, but wait for your train to be unloaded.
Hattie: Yes sir.

* * *

Makenzie: *Brings passenger train to the station*
Passengers: *Getting out of train* Thank you.
Makenzie: You're welcome. Enjoy your stay on the island.
Passengers: We will.
Makenzie: And now to return these cars to the yard. *Pulling empty coaches to the yard*

Dustin: *Still in the sheds with Kaela, and Casey Jones*
Natalia: *Gets on turntable* Hola everyone.
Kaela: Hi.
Natalia: *Backs into shed next to Casey Jones, and lets out steam* Ah, that was a good run.
Casey Jones: What did you do?
Natalia: I pulled five tank cars to the harbor really fast.
Kaela: Were they heavy?
Natalia: Not at all Senorita. I got there just in time.
Makenzie: *Arrives at sheds* Hi everybody.
Casey Jones: *Very excited* Makenzie!
Makenzie: Hey, Casey Jones. How are you?
Casey Jones: Oh, I'm doing excellent. They named me after a famous engineer. The funny part is that I'm a girl, and C.J was a man. *Laughing*
Others: *Laugh*
Makenzie: That's great. You think I can call you C.J?
Casey Jones: I don't see why not.
Dustin: We'd like you to meet the others on our line. The spanish steam engine next to C.J is Natalia.
Natalia: Hola.
Dustin: The blue engine to my right is Kaela.
Kaela: Hi.
Makenzie: Hello.
Dustin: We have three others, but they don't seem to be here.

Tillie, Georgia, and Amy soon arrived.

Dustin: What took you so long?
Tillie: What are you talking about?
Georgia: We were just workin' sugar.
Amy: Some of the N.E.L diesels wouldn't stop harassing me. I just want to make one of them derail so badly.
Makenzie: N.E.L? What does that mean?
Dustin: Northern Errol Line. The engines there aren't so friendly, so if you ever end up pulling freight trains there, be careful.
Makenzie: I'll try.
Amy: So, who's the new engine?
Dustin: Makenzie.
Tillie: What a beautiful name.
Georgia: And she has good looks too.
Makenzie: *Blushes*
Dustin: She was very important to us on our old line in Hawaii. As long as she remains here, the heart of this railroad cannot be broken.
Mr. Swanson: That's for me to decide. You're all important, but your importance is equal.
Dustin: Whoops.
Others: *Laugh*
Mr. Swanson: I like you all, but I don't pick favorites. It's getting late, so grab some shut eye.
Engines: Yes sir.
Dustin: *Whispers* It's great to have you back Makenzie.
Mr. Swanson: Dustin!
Dustin: Sorry sir.
