Okay, I will admit that I was in love with Destiny Malone. I will even admit that one of my favorite hobbies was to watch her. I am not a creepier. I just thought that she was really beautiful. The problem was that I was a jock and she was a loner. There are two completely different social groups and social groups do not mix with other social groups no matter how gorgeous you are.
But her death was a shock to me. It shocked everyone in town.
Destiny was sweet to everyone and was fair. Her death only shows how cruel the world is. She drowned in the lake with her hands tied behind her back.
The newsreports claimed that the police were looking for any clues involving her death. I do not believe that for a minute. The police have other crimes to worry about and they will simply conclude that this was a suicide. This was not a suicide. It just couldn't be.
Since I knew the police would not handle this fairly, I will have to solve this mystery for Destiny.
The day she died was Sunday night. She did not go to church that day because I didn't see her there. The only Malone that came to church was her mom, Terra.
Terra chatted with my mom because they were best friends back in high school. My mom explained to me how shaky Terra was acting. I also remember Terra making a quick exit when church was over.
Later on that day, when I was driving to the market, I saw Mr. Malone wondering around someone's house. I didn't think twice about it then but now.
The piece of this puzzle were missing but I did have a good idea about what the picture is. I still need a few more pieces.
Today, I decided to question the owner of the house Mr. Malone was wondering around.
The guy that answered the door was an old man witha stained shirt and baggy ripped jeans. "What?" He growled at me.
"I was just wondering if you knew anything about Destiny Malone's death?" I tried to sneak a peek into his home but her just blocked it with his large body.
"My son, Tony, knew that girl but he moved to Peru. He wanted to get away from the city life, " said the man a he closed the door in my face.
That was okay, I got everything that I needed.
There was a Tony Hawkins who went to our school. he was extremely weird and had temper problems. I can see how sweet Destiny was drawn to him.
I went ot Tiffany Angler's hosue. She would know everything about Tony. She was the best friend of Detiny. She could tell me that Tony was the bad guy and the good guy in this scenario.
******************************
"Tony was so cute," said Tiffan. "They were such a cute couple. They did get into fights all of the time. Destiny would end up getting abused by him."
"Why didn't you tell anyone?" Why would a best friend stand and watch her friend get hurt.
"I wanted to but i am terrified of Tony." She hugged herself and tried ot calm down. "Her parents knew about Tony and the abuse."
"Do you believe that Tony was doing drugs?"
She nodded. "He was also extremely rich. He had a job but he never explained what he did."
I have seen the house that his dad lived in. IT was basically a shack with broken windows. The only thing keeping that house up was the vines growing on the sides.
"What did you think he did for a living?"
"Drug dealer, duh."
*****************************
Tiffan gave me alot of information but it did not make much sense. Destiny would not stay with a guy like that. She was just too good. There has to be another reason. Destiny would only love a guy like him for something in his heart. Tiffan later told me the large amonts of money he had and where he use to keep it.

The police gathered at my house with coffee and cinnamon buns. They were annoyed that I disturbed them during lunch hour.
"What do you want, Trevor?" Officer Batona nd I have not had the best relationship but at least he started calling me by my first name. "We have cases to solve."
"Okay, okay, I will get started." I ran my fingers through my hair. "we all know about Destiny Malone's death."
"We determined it was a suicide and closed the case."
"Well, It wasn't," I said. "I have dug deep and uncovered the truth. Destiny's murderer was Tony Hawkins. himself."
'That isn't possible," said an officer. "We declared him innocent. He gave us an excuse."
"He killed her though," I continued. "Tony was aprt of a local gang, but Tony wanted out because he was in love with Destiny. Destiny loved him too but she wanted him to leave the gang. The gang did not agree. They told Tony to kill Destiny before she told the police about them or they would kill her themselves. if you examine all of the clues, you will see that my conclusion is valid."
There was a long pause. "Men, go hunt down Tony Hawkins in Peru and actually question him this time." Officer Baton was barking out orders to his officers. "You better be right about this Mitchell."
"Oh, I am sir," i replied. Tony being in a gang explained the money and the hasty deaprture to Peru. Although, I can not explain the behavior of the Malones'. That, my friend, is a whole other mystery.

This is what you call the Earth
This is what people call the world
This is what we call life
We can't go on pretending day by day
That good things will always happen
Stormy days will come, it's not a miracle
But the storm will end soon, and all will be clear again
Heavy rain's crashing against my windowsill
I think, when will this ever stop?
The thunder's crashing against the trees outside
Today's not going to be a fine day, but it will end
I woke up this morning and guess what I saw
Bright sunny mornings with a clear future
No one's gonna stop me from believin
The rain stopped and the future's bright again
Good and bad create our lives
We can't pretend that everything's gonna always be alright
It's hard to think that something's gonna be wrong
But it's the truth, the whole truth.
We can't go on day by day pretending
Everything's gonna be alright
But we know that sunny days will come out
Soon or later.
