I jumped out through her bedroom window as she started to get up and I figured, since I would be in a car and on a plane with her most of the day, I would hunt. I wouldn't go too far, that way, if she needed me, I could easily get to her.
I caught some rabbits, and a pigeon and some mice, but that was going to have to do.
I was heading back to her apartment, when I heard her talking to someone, she didn't like him, and she was afraid, by the sound of her voice. I ran as fast as I could to get to her in time.
I listened to the conversation as I reached the front door of the building.
"Then where are ya movin' to? Did ya already spend it, is that where ya goin'?"
"No, my body guard is taking me somewhere, where I don't have to see your ugly mug again."
"That's not very nice, I let you live here didn't I? I let you have plenty of time to turn in that money your parents owed me. Now, you're not leavin' till I get that money."
I finally reached them and just in time too.
"I think that depends, if you make it to the hospital,"I said, to focus his attention on me.
"Who're you?"
"Her body guard,"I retorted, as I edged my way around the hulking body that stood just past the doorway. I tensed as I stood defensively in front of the woman of my existence.
"Aren't ya kinda small? You think you can challenge me an' survive?"
"I'm pretty impenitrable."
"This, toy, is your body guard?"
"He's stronger than he looks."
"I'll even let you throw the first punch, mama's boy," I taunted him.
"Why you little,"the blob threatened me, but I knew this was it. He launched for me and Liz screamed. I wish I could reassure her, but I dodged and whacked him on the head. He fell to the ground unconcious.
"Wow, you are stronger than average,"Liz praised me.
"One of the perks. You ready to go?"
"Never been readier. Let's go."
I carried most of the stuff she needed down for her.
"You really don't need to pack anything except personal belongings, stuff for cleanliness, food and clothes."
"Really,"she asked,"you already have a place?"
"Yeah, we're actually going to live with my parents."
I studied her face as she frowned.
"You don't have to worry, they're just like me, I will keep my promise, when we get there, I'll show you what I can do. And what my family can do. So yes, I am a vampire."
