Chapter 4. – Surprise Party

Jacob´s POV:

I was suddenly surprised to see I think everyone in La Push there in my small living room greeting me with a big “SURPRISE!” like a quire singing at the same pase. I turned to Leah to try and understand what was going on but she was no long at my side , I now felt awkwardly uncomfortable with her here next to me I never thought in a million years I would need her this much like now.
“Happy birthday Jake!” Leah sang as she came out of the kitchen with a huge blue covered frosted cake with white frosting with big letters that said “HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACOB!” I had forgotten that today was even my birthday , man was I missed up I did even remember my own birthday .She then placed the cake on the table in the living room and Emily helped her stick the candles in then Sue took Leah’s place and then whispered something in her ear that I didn’t made out that clearly I think she said “ the present” Leah then came over and said to me “wait just a sec I be right back” she then smiled with a smile that almost knock me out it was beautiful ,she was beautiful I think I was blushing because my face felt unusually hotter than my usually not so normal body heat .I turned to hide it but I couldn’t I watched Leah all the way out of the room has she headed out the back door but I couldn’t take my sight off of her and I wanted to go after her and follow her but I was then distracted when Seth called me “Jacob hey happy b-day , nice to have you back “.
“Umm...err…thanks I had almost forgotten about it” I said a little happy to see that they had done this for me after all that I had put them through.
Quil came over and give me a hug and a slap on the back “Im glad you came back bro it’s been pretty dull around here lately and when you are around there’s always plenty action!” he laughed then Embry walked over and put his arm around me shoulder and said in a amused voice “It’s great you’re here it was about time too Leah was driving us crazy dude”.
“She wasn’t that bad Embry you got to give her props she’s a pretty good leader specially taking charge while Jacob was out” Seth said on the defensive.
“Ok …maybe she was but she still put us to clean her room that’s not ok we’re born to be warriors not maids the last time I checked” he replied.
“Whatever guys , that’s already in the past Jacob’s back so we should celebrate even more because it’s your 17th birthday dude , let’s eat some cake and then hit the beach and go swimming what you say about that Jake” Quil saided with a huge grin on his face.
“Yeah that sounds cool but don’t forget we are going up to Port Angeles and see Jake’s favorite band play this weekend “ Embry added.
Seth then punched Embry in the stomach with his elbow he flinched a little and then turned to see Quil’s and Seth’s angry reaction for giving away the surprise I guessed.
I smiled and laughed a little and said “Oh…thanks guys you shouldn’t have really I mean the tickets they we’re probably really expensive and I don’t know if we can even go I mean I don’t think we shouldn’t leave the reserved unwatched and I don’t…
I didn’t get to finish when I was abruptly interrupted by Quil.
“Don’t worry dude, we all chipped in for the tickets and besides we got the reserved watch covered too” he grinned securely to what he was saying.
“Yea Sam and his pack are coming to The Push to visit and they agreed on giving us a break and taking watch for a while so relax everything is going to be ok and anyways you need a breather and have a little fun bro”Embry replied happily
“We all need a little bit of fun it´s been 3 moths of pure boredom there’s been no movement at all “Seth added sadly.
I thought for a minute how leaving the reserved seemed like something very unresponsable to the eyes of Sam but I then realized that he probably thought that a night out with the guys would do me some good and I even thought that maybe it really.
I sighed and smiled and said “Sure, sure I guess it would hurt to have a night out with the boys”. They all letup to my accepting the offer and all smiled with some really silly grins I looked over and in the corner of my eye I saw her Leah was walking towards me of direction of where she had exited out of the house but this time she had a small blue box tie with a silver satin bow but I looked at it for a mile second when I noticed that she had the dark eyes placed on mine I didn’t even noticed when my feet stared walked towards her leaving Quil, Embry and Seth behind it was like she was too far from me and my body couldn’t wait to have her there, I was now a few inches between us and she then noticed and took a step back and helled out the gift waiting for me to receive it. I took the present and looked at it extensively. “Well are you going to open it or just stare? Because I don’t have all day you know” She tried to say in a annoyed voice that only came out sounding almost weak and nervious at the said time. Without anymore waiting I pulled the end of the bow and weakly fell to the floor and took the top part of the box off and saddled my jaw hurt the floor and I couldn’t believe it was Leah who had given me this gift.
