Covered in vines, sand, moss stood the house. I remembered instantly the last time I was there. It was happier then. I was happier. My 18th birthday. It was the reason for the long scar above my elbow. I turned off the car, and hit my head on the steering wheel.
This was a bad idea on all counts. I opened my door to investigate. I didn't get up to the porch before I realized. I wasn’t the first one to be here. The door was spotless no plants were on it; the windows had some dirt but I saw inside, it was fixed. The couch was moved to the wall. I saw his Piano. I nearly lost it.
I know I saw Alice and Jasper in the mall. I went to the door and knocked furiously slowly turning into a banging.
“What are you doing, Bella?” His beautiful, soft, velvet voice said behind me. It was clear. Like he was there, it wasn’t in my head. I quickly turned around. I couldn’t be imaging that. No one was there. I look into the window. I was closer now. There was dust and dirt all over the no longer white furnisher. There was no piano. Everything was spinning. I was breathing heavily. Holding my chest. I had this sharp pain again. It was a horrible sense of deja vu. But had hadn’t been here since, at least I don’t remember.
No, no, no. I'm not crazy I know I saw it. I heard cords in my head. I never thought I would hear things that stunning in my lifetime for a second instance. I had to be dreaming. This whole day wasn’t right.
“Alice, Jasper.” I called looking. Please be here . I need something to calm me down. I snuck to my knees and held my head in my hands. This wasn’t right. I stood trying to recover and jumped back into the car. I was hysterical cry. I realize Alison was still here with me. I looked back; she sat in silent staring at me her eye wide with fright. I drove fast. I needed Jacob. I turned the corners fast. I was in front of there small home in minutes.
I jumped when I heard the back door open “come on Aly lets go see Aunt Nicole, I'll bet your hungry.” Jacob said getting her out. I was so grateful. I couldn’t move, my heart was pounding, and my hands were shaking. I pressed my forehead to the steering wheel and listen to her talk to Jake.
I waited trying to think what I saw. What I heard, how is this happing, why? I was crazy there was no way I had seen all of that. The passenger door open. I ignored it. Jake sat there for a few minutes only the sound of my tears echoed in the car.
“Bella” he started but before he said anymore, I hugged him. Crying in his chest. “What happened?” he said stroking my hair.
I mumbled in to his Shirt. “I think they are back the Cullen’s. I saw them just before Aly disappeared. Then I drove to their house and He spoke. I heard his voice Jacob. With my ears not in my head.” I got louder towards the end.
I felt a Quake through his body, he didn't like this. He didn't like it the first time I told him about the hallucinations. “I don’t know what to say Bella.” he spoke each word not making sense I looked to his face. It was blank. He was in Alpha mode. I understood what this meant. If they were back then it might start up again.
It could happen the wolves were just starting to settle down. Seth just imprinted a month ago. Now Jake is a Father. Sam and Emily’s kids are all in school.
The tears were streaming down my face like a flowing river.
“Go in side and lay down Bella. I have to do something. ” He said. His thoughts were no longer in the car. He had to do something. I sat up and wiped my eyes I stumbled out of the car. Jake was at my side in a second, he walked me inside and sat me on the couch. He walked into the kitchen to tell Nicole what happened. And that I was going to stay here until he got back.
I closed my eyes and curled into a ball. What was going on here? I heard through the doors three loud howls. Jake called the rest of them. I just have to wait.
