This short story is about Carlisle's worry for Rosalie. He sees her getting angrier as Edward falls more and more in love with Bella. Once again, the story is told from Edward's point of view. It is mainly based on Twilight, and what I have read from Midnight Sun. I suppose there is a bit of Eclipse in there as well. When writing it, I was easily able to imagine Rosalie's horrified expression, and I hope you can too! Please comment and tell me what you think!!

I was always considered Carlisle’s first son, as such. I had been with him the longest. I knew his moods as well as Jasper knew everyone else’s: Esme made him happy; Alice amused him; Emmett and Rosalie both entertained him, but for different reasons and Jasper amazed him. I could understand all these feelings, I felt them to some extent as well. The only feeling of his that I could not understand, was how proud he was of me. I had never done anything to deserve that feeling, but how I wished I had. How I wished that I was the Edward he and Esme both gave me credit for.
Rosalie, on the other hand, was not proud of me. She did not find me amusing, entertaining or amazing. She found me annoying. She always had, but it had got worse as soon as Bella came along. She controlled her thoughts carefully, but sometimes they would slip and I would get a glimpse of how much it bothered her that I found a human attractive, when I had never found her any way pretty at all. Her rage amused me so much that I often found myself being threatened by her whenever I snickered at her thoughts.
'Edward.' The thought was clear, even though Carlisle was more than two miles away from me. 'Edward, are you busy?'
The problem with these one-way conversations, were that they were one-way. I had no way of answering them, unless I was to call out and to be honest that was not very convenient because if I was to answer him now, blood would spill down my clean white shirt. So I stayed quiet, drinking away and hoping that Carlisle’s train of thought would continue.
'Edward, I’m worried about Rosalie. Does she seem more, I don’t know, sadistic, yes I suppose that’s the right word, sadistic since Bella came into our lives? Well your life, but you know what I mean. You of all people would know what I mean!' He laughed quietly to himself, while I ignored the joke. I had known that this conversation was coming. I saw it in his and Esme’s thoughts everyday recently. They looked at their eldest daughter and saw her getting angrier and angrier as the days went on. They had hoped in the beginning that it would pass, but it hadn’t.
I sighed. I supposed that there was no way to put it off any longer. I pushed the deer away from me and started running.
I reached the house in record time and I hadn’t even been trying. Carlisle was sitting in his chair in his office and I walked in without bothering to knock.
“You called, Carlisle?” I asked. Though I knew exactly why he had called me, I asked anyway.
Carlisle laughed gently. 'Yes. As you are aware Esme and I are concerned about Rosalie. Do you know what’s wrong with her?' He didn't speak out loud, for fear Rosalie would hear him. He was in no danger of being held up against a wall; me, on the other hand, was bound to be in extreme peril if she found out.
“Oh, I’m well aware of what’s wrong Carlisle.” I laughed. “But it isn’t really my place to say. But don’t worry, it’s nothing serious.”
'All right, Edward.' He nodded slowly. 'I trust your judgement. But if it gets too bad, please come to me.'
“Sure thing.” I suppressed a laughed and Carlisle looked at me strangely. “See you later, Carlisle.” I walked out of his office, unable to control my laughter as I passed Rosalie in the hall, her eyes bulging.
'You better not have said anything, or I will hunt you like a dog, Edward Cullen.'
I laughed again, without even bothering to try and suppress it and kept walking.
I could understand how Rosalie entertained Carlisle. She certainly made my life more interesting!

Isabella "Bella" Marie Swan (later Isabella Marie Cullen) is a clumsy, accident-prone teenage girl who moves from Phoenix, Arizona, to Forks, Washington, to live with her father, Charlie. Though many boys are attracted to her when she arrives, she falls in love with Edward Cullen, a mysterious boy she discovers to be a vampire. In an attempt to protect Bella from his lifestyle, Edward leaves her. Bella falls into a depression and is comforted by her friend, Jacob Black. She comes to love Jacob as well, though not as deeply as she loves Edward. She eventually marries Edward and, after a complicated pregnancy, gives birth to their daughter, Renesmee, and becomes a vampire at age 18. After Bella's transformation, she has the ability to shield her and others' minds from mental attacks.
