Hello, everyone, and welcome to the fourth Halloween list. And today, we’ll be looking at the blood sucking creatures of the night, vampires. Vampires are creatures who wander out at night, and drink the blood of humans in order to stay young. However, there is a multitude of ways to kill them, some famous ones being sunlight, or a wooden stake to the heart. So, with such an amazing group of monsters, I say we look at the best. First some rules. Only one vampire per franchise and only from what I’ve seen. Also, to avoid the obvious number one, Dracula will not be on this list. And because no one like him, Edward from Twilight will NEVER be on ANYONE’S best vampire list. Just incase anyone was confused. No, let’s start the list.
#10: Moka from Rosario + Vampire
I’m not gonna lie, I am not a fan of Rosario + Vampire. The fan service got too much for me to be interested, and I am not a fan of romances. At least put some action into the fan service so I can at least enjoy the anime. Reasons why I like Highschool of the Dead. Still, I do have to admit Moka is a pretty interesting vampire. She was once in a school for humans, where they all treated her poorly for being a vampire, so she then moved to a monster academy, hoping she could make friends. She then made friends with Tsukune, a human boy who was sent to the monster school by mistake. And while she may seem friendly, she can turn into her other form…. which really isn’t threatening looking, since all she gets his white hair, and slightly larger breasts, but she becomes much stronger, but much more cruel to others, which is why she wears a crucifix necklace to keep her other form from getting loose. She may not show the signs of a vampire, but she is still interesting…… Could have done without the constant amount of panty shots, though.
#9: Demitri Maximoff from Darkstalkers
Man, I remember playing as this guy a lot on this game for an arcade machine. And after playing it again on the XBox Live Arcade… Well, either I suck, or this game got a lot more brutal, because I can barely beat the game with one character. But, enough about that. Demitri comes from a world known as Makai, where he was once the ruler, until the father of Morrigan threw him into the human world, making him weak and could easily kill him, due to the sunlight. So, for years, he stayed in his castle, healing himself to go back and take over Makai, drinking the blood of people, especially young women, and making them his servants. Not to mention his fighting style is pretty cool, allowing him to teleport and he can also drain the blood of fighters during a fight. Pretty messed up, but that’s what makes him an awesome vampire.
#8: Hansel and Gretel from Black Lagoon
I’m going to warn you guys right now. These two are twins who have a romantic relationship……. Yeah…… Anyway, Hansel and Gretel were orphaned and were bought by a porn director, where he used the two in child pornography. After they were able to escape, they soon became sadistic and started killing others, and even enjoyed it. Their weapons of choice were usually a large axe, and a machine gun. They also really enjoy torturing people, by shoving large nails into their victims heads, making the victim's body twitch. They also have the ability to switch bodies, so that they can both live through one's body. They may be creepy, but you can’t help but feel sorry for them. They never were able to live normal lives, so all they know is to kill, and when they want to be thankful for someone, they think underaged sex is the best way to do it, which is messed up. But, we all know what makes them so great. It’s the fact that these twelve year olds are able to take down a group of criminals without even trying.
#7: Jericho from Darkwatch
I refuse to rest until Darkwatch becomes a cult classic among gamers. Now back on topic. Jericho is a civil war deserter and drifter, who started robbing trains. However, during a heist, he met with a man named Lazarus, how put a curse on Jericho, making him a vampire. With the vampire's curse, Jericho’s strength and endurance are increased immensely. Not to mention, he is able to destroy anything with these powers in seconds. However, these powers only work in the dark, and if he were to be in sunlight, his skin would begin to burn, making him a mortal again, until nightfall. Pretty awesome if you ask me. Shame that there isn’t much I know about this game, so I can’t say much more. But, now, I am going to buy this game off eBay, because this is my kind of game.
#6: Vamp from Metal Gear Solid
Now, for someone who appeared in what fans call the worst of the MGS game (MGS 2, that is), he is still a real badass vampire. Unlike most vampires, who just try and drink the blood of their victims, Vamp…. well, he still does that, but he is also able to use knives to his every whim. He can block bullets from it, no matter how much are coming at him. He is also able to throw knives insanely quickly, and he can throw his knives so fast, that if he catches hits your shadow with the knife, you will be stuck. THIS GUY! IS ABLE! TO HIT! YOUR GODDAMN SHADOW! Who else can do that. Not to mention he can’t die, since he can survive water that is impossible to get out of and being shot in the head. I haven’t played MGS 4, but I do know Vamp is in that one too. All I can say is, I really hope he has something new, because I really like to see what else he could do.
#5: Corpse Demon from Shiki
Now, technically, these are more like zombies rather than vampires, but, they suck blood, are immune to sunlight, and need to be stabbed in the heart, so their vampires. Shiki’s are created when another Shiki drains the blood from a corpse of a human. At first they are seen as the bad guys, constantly going around, draining the blood from humans and killing them. You want the humans to win, but then, that is when they start committing mass genocide. Humans begin killing all Shiki’s, even the ones trying to live normal lives, which makes you question if the Shiki’s are the bad guys. That is why I love this anime so much… And yet it was never on my top 100 animated shows list…. Shut up.
#4: Count Orlok from Nosferatu
Now, I don’t remember much of this movie, but I do remember that this guy was a pretty cool vampire. He was able to purchase a house right next to the protagonists house. However, due to being a vampire, he couldn’t just walk to his new house. So, how does he do it? He gets put in a coffin, and is placed on a boat, where he kills everyone on board, and has it blamed on the plague, making all of his kills seem like a disease. Not to mention, he is a very well known vampire for all of the ways he is able to kill victims. I think he was once in Spongebob too. I can’t remember. Not a lot to say, but I do know that I found him to be pretty cool
#3: Dio Brando from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure
The day I have a child, I will name the Dio Brando. Even if it’s a girl, I don’t care, because Dio Brando is the greatest name I have ever heard. Anyway, I won’t talk about normal Dio, so let’s talk about vampire Dio. He turned himself into a vampire with the Stone Mask in an attempt to avoid death. Once he did become a vampire, he soon took over a small village, where he would soon take over the world with an army of undead and vampires. He is also able to put his body back together, and even when he is decapitated, as long as he is able to take over another person's body, he can survive. Jesus christ, he is awesome. I can’t wait for the English dub, so I can hear his evilly wonderful voice in all it’s English glory.
#2: Alucard from Hellsing Ultimate
Yeah, you all knew this guy was going to be on the list, and why not. He still does all the sort of things a regular vampire would do, like drink people's blood. But, he’s much more deadly. Sure, he could drink someone’s blood, or he could shoot them with his gun for god knows how long. Or, better yet, he can use his transformation ability to turn himself into a giant dark monster with dogs for arms (It’s a long story) And devour them. He also really loves to kill his enemies, which is actually creepy. Is he only out to kill monsters? No. If ordered to, and only if ordered to, he will kill humans, but that is his job, so it’s not like he wants to… Though that doesn’t mean he won’t enjoy it. I mean, this is a psychotic vampire who has a gun. I’m pretty sure he’d love to put a few bullets in humans. Also, that goddamn voice of his…. OOOOOO! He’s pretty cool in the TFS abridged too.
#1: Alucard from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
What is this? Two Alucards? Yeah, Alucard is a pretty crappy anagram for Dracula now, but DAMNIT, Alucard is just so awesome- Castlevania Alucard, no Hellsing Alucard. Anyway, Alucard (Castlevania Alucard, of course) is a half-vampire and half-human. His mother was Lisa and his father was… WHO ELSE, Dracula. His mother was then killed by humans, for being suspected as a witch, but she told Alucard to never hate, or at the very least, harm a human being. And since then, Alucard has been doing his best to stop his father from taking over the world with chaos, or some shit. I can’t remember what Dracula’s real goal was, to be honest. But Alucard is just so cool. Other than having some pretty strong gear like the Alucard Armor, Sword, and Shield, he can also turn himself into a puff of smoke to pass through enemies and hard to reach areas, a wolf to run faster and jump longer, and a bat to help him fly, which actually makes the wolf forms long jump seem pretty pointless. Still, he is not afraid to fight alongside humans against his father, which makes him so cool. And that is why Alucard is my number one vampire… And he was on my fifteen favorite video game characters list, so that should obviously make him a choice on this list.
So, there you have it. Did you enjoy the list? Tell me what you thought of it below. With that said, I will see you all next time

I’m not gonna lie, I am not a fan of Rosario + Vampire. The fan service got too much for me to be interested, and I am not a fan of romances.
