Well, this is a first of many, I feel. Fray, a game by the studio Brain Candy, an indie team that had passion for this game, this online multiplayer that anyone could get into. Fray was a game set in 2098 in a cyberpunk setting, you play as one of three giant corporations that want complete control over the Earth’s virtual communication system, and hire four soldiers to take out the other companies. Cyberpunk settings were always some of my favorite, so I was interesting in playing this game. So how is it? Well… It’s nothing. You can buy this game off Steam right now, but I wouldn’t bother. Not because the game is broken and bad, I mean, it is, but because you actively can’t. Fray is a game that is no longer playable. There is no single player campaign, and all you got are tutorials which are a textbook long. This game is nothing more than a title screen you pay for. But what got it reviewed so badly? I have to find a reason why it was reviewed so bad. So, after looking into gameplay footage, I was able to discover why. Yeah, I know it’s cheating that I am not playing it myself, but you can’t blame me. There is no way to play this game.

So the first problem with this online multiplayer game is that your team of four soldiers has no AI. You have to control each character individually in a turn-based style battle. You get a set of asic shooter characters. Medics, taks, the usual. But I noticed that they all have upgrades that are locked out to you unless you play hours of the game. That is a mess in an online game. If someone has played for hours (Which let’s be real, who would play Fray for hours), they could be unstoppable, and new players would be miserable. Also, you only get experience for winning. So if a player who has all the gear beats a lower level player, they get more experience than if a low level player beats a high level enemy. For an RPG fan like myself, that is fucking atrocious. So now that we got all that, let’s start talking about the actual gameplay.
The environments are really dull. They all are just long corridors of grey. Occasionally you’ll get some scenery, but that’s about it. As for the gameplay itself, it’s a turn-based strategy with FPS elements. Now I am all for mixing two genres together for a creative style, but oh man, does this game not make that enjoyable. Unless you are hiding directly behind a wall, you are getting hit and your AI will not attack enemies directly. You gotta get in range, move them, and only when they are in a specific angle will they finally shoot the enemy. This is not a shooter where spotting a target down a hall and getting a good shot takes skill. No, this is a game where walking down the hall to meet the target like a friend in school takes a lot of your damn patience. For an action packed strategy game, you sure do a lot of walking. I’ve read stories of people running out their turns and ending the match before even finding a target because the maps are so long and dull looking that you could get lost. Man, why play the latest CoD when you could be playing Fray, aside from the fact that the servers are down and you no longer can?
So after watching a bunch of gameplay that was as fun as a nature documentary in middle school, I can see why this game got little attention and later died out. But what about the studio that made it, Brain Candy? Well, this would be their first and last game. After this game failed back in 2012, the studio went other. But their Twitter account is still up, but hasn’t been updated since 2012. All I know is that they were a studio based in France and were really excited to discuss Fray. I was hoping to go onto Twitter (Terrifying, I know) and ask any of the developers about the development of Fray, but I couldn’t seem to find anyone. If anyone could find me a developer from Fray so I can ask them questions, please let me know. With that said, Fray was a mistake, not out of malicious intent or lack of communication, but just a studio with admirations far too big for their own good and they paid the price for it. Next time, we play a game I can actually get my hands on, for better or for worse.

The employes, Malcolm, Emilia, June, Roland, Benedict, and Thomas, all deal with the worst of working in retail, such as idiotic customers, poor pay, the devil as the manager, the end of the world on a known as Black Friday, The Back being a portal to Hell, and a rival company owned by a holy manager with dreads.

Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie are friends, but sometimes Pinkie likes to tease Dash about the time she fooled her by thinking she was a ghost. Rainbow Dash doesn't like that.

One night, they were having a sleepover at Sugarcube Corner.

Pinkie Pie: Wake up Dashie! Are you dreaming about the time you thought I was a ghost?
Rainbow Dash: Certainly not. Anyway, I was just pretending to be afraid. I knew it was you.
Pinkie Pie: I hope you don't mind the room being dark.
Rainbow Dash: Why?
Pinkie Pie: Just checking to make sure you don't get scared.
Rainbow Dash: *Ignores Pinkie, and goes back to...

Wind: But why do I have to do this
Teacher: Because at the last ballgame, your so called “National Anthem” caused a full scale riot
Wind: Oh, it wasn’t that bad
Teacher: Forty-six people died
Wind: Oh… well that what they get for going to a ballgame
Teacher: Okay, the way I see it, you have two options. You can either play a game of baseball and win this school a victory, or you can spend a day with Austin over there
Austin: (Draws a penis on the board) HA HA HA HA!
Wind: I’ll play
Teacher: Your damn right you will

So, I promised I would read more Alpha and Omega fanfics…… much to my displeasure, so, here is the next one, known as Jasper Park Mating Season….. Haven’t even read it, and already, I regret my decision.
So, it starts with Kate washing herself… And, before you ask, I can’t tell if they are wolves or anthropomorphic creatures. I really isn’t explained. Anyway, Lily comes by, and so, they then talk about mating season. Oh, boy, here we go again with this shit. So, after that embarrassing conversation, they move to another embarrassing conversation, which is talking about Humphrey’s…....

(Warning: List contains Strong violence and Nudity.... But, this is the anime club, and anime always has that, so you guys are okay with that)
You get the picture, lets start.... But, first, rules. Only one anime from a whole series, including its spin-offs, I do not have to watch the anime to include the opening, and my opinion on the opening does not reflect my opinion on the anime itself. I could utterly despise the anime but like the opening. Okay, then, lets start.

Our story began in the springwood diner.

Dean, a seemingly normal guy, was ignored by a waitress when he innocently asked for anouther coffee.

Annoyed, he followed her in order to get her attention, and ended up in the kitchen.

But that's when things started getting weird, it wasn't no ordinary kitchen, it almost seemed, cannibalistic.

Suddenly, Freddy Kruger popped out of nowhere, who tired stabbing Dean with a costomized glove weapon.

This event frightenly woke him into to reality, as it was revealed he was alseep.

"Dean.. I told you if you keep falling asleep, their gonna kick you outta here"...

It’s that time again. Time for me to talk about a Suda game. Suda games are usually a hit or a miss between audiences. They can become cult classics like No More Heroes and Killer7, or they can be completely forgotten like Diabolical Pitch. His games are only really considered by people who enjoy his style of storytelling and over-the-top gameplay. So it’s no surprise that I enjoy a good portion of his games. And one that I will be talking about today is the overly colorful and bubbly zombie hack n’ slash game, Lollipop Chainsaw

~Story~

Lollipop Chainsaw is a game that follows the...

Video games have a lot of story in them nowadays. Back then, when it was just squares on a TV screen, all you did was move around and run and shoot… and occasionally jump. Games back then were a lot more simple to follow than today. But that is what makes games of today so awesome. They have tons of plot and story in them, making them more well thought out than games of yesterday. But, no better are a game’s story shown than the plot twist. Those moments when the story is changed in a different direction, surprising the player and keeping them interested. These usually come just to surprise...

North Star City
2020

I’m not sure how it happened. What caused it. What made it happen to people like us. But… I had a feeling in my gut. I think it was a collective feeling, from all humanity. That this was the beginning of the end. For all of us.
It started on a Friday. Three long days of dread and fear filling the world. The sun. The damned blackened sun, hanging over all of us like an omen. The sun was completely black. The light was still there, but… it...

So the punk scene, what a scene it is. Big mohawks, piercings, and a bad attitude that all those movies and annoyed parents warned us about. But seriously, it’s not all that. Nowadays, punk has become nothing more than a front for stores like Hot Topic to make a quick buck off of and unless your Green Day, most of your venues are a small bar if they’re lucky. What is the kind of thing punk is mistaken for, what is it really, and just what happened to it all? Well, that’s what I am here to talk about today. Sadly, don’t expect a huge analysis on this one. This is merely a myriad of thoughts...

I have not a single clue what this is. Okage: The Shadow King, known in Japan as Me and Satan King, yes, really, was a PS2 RPG that was made by Zener Works Studios, a prefecture of Sony Interactive, who worked on such titles like…. Uh… Little Monsters? Anyone?...... They made games on the Vita… Wait, no, that’s worse. So yeah, Zener Works hasn’t exactly had much success with their games, with Okage being their best bet at anything, which sadly wasn’t much. I only heard about this game when I watched a video on one of my favorite Youtubers talked about it briefly in their video game...

Well, it was only a matter of time until we got to the Persona franchise, and I am more than happy to start off with this one. But not the OG Persona 3, mostly because I didn’t buy that one. No, we’re here to discuss Persona 3: FES.
Persona 3 is set in a Japanese city where you play as Minato-Makoto-Door-Kun- The kid in the image above, as he moves into a dorm with other young teenagers, only to learn that the city every night at midnight turns into the Dark Hour, where the local school turns into a giant tower called Tartarus and everyone turns into coffins. So, what’s teens to...

Okay…. This is the first Legend of Zelda entry on the list… and hoo boy, I think I already pissed some people off with this decision already.
Legend of Zelda follows the story of Link and his companion Navi as they travel across the land of Hyrule, saving the Sages and trying to stop Ganondorf from taking over Hyrule.. Yeah, get used to hearing that story description of other Zelda games. This was considered to be THE Zelda game back in the day, the one that everyone needed to play and is thought to be the greatest video game of all time. And while I don’t personally agree with that,...

So remember when Sega was trying to make more stuff rather than just Sonic and the occasional Yakuza game, and the only way to see the franchise was through a Kickstarter like Shenmue? Well, let’s go back to the golden days of Dreamcast. And remember a classic game on there as Jet Set Radio. Fun game, but due to being on the Dreamcast, we doubted it would get a chance on other consoles. And then, Jet Set Radio Future happened.
Jet Set Radio takes place in… the future? An alternate timeline? Whatever, in Jet Set Radio Future, you play as the GGs, a group of roller skating rebellious...

Reboots are something in the entertainment industry that we should just get used to. Hollywood and the animation industry have given reboots a real bad name, what with many bad reboots of classic cartoons to butchered reboots of famous 80s movies you like to say are classics yet have never watched. Reboots can be good... But because negativity gets attention, I'm not gonna defend it. Instead, let's talk about how reboots ruined everything in the gaming industry. From the most basic of brand new ideas to the worst kinds out there, this is the ten worst video game reboots.

When it comes to the mind of a child, many things can appear new to them. Their still developing psyches have not yet allowed them to experience everything in the world. They will see things differently than adults do, and everything that the adult human finds to be a normal thing will be completely alien to children. This could be a new and exciting experience to some kids, but at the same time, it can lead to them being mortified and scared of something, until they finally grow out of it. So, what the hell did any of that have to do with video games? None, probably, but it sure did make me...
