Chapter 14
The wolf did not move but Koda was already on the attack. His teeth grew into their long and dangerous bite, the claws tore through his fingers and black fur sprouted from his arms to his hands.
Before Iah knew it, Koda was on him but he was well prepared for the young Skinwalker.
Why do are they always go for a fight first? He thought to himself biting into Koda’s neck careful not puncture his skin.
Iah was much more powerful than Koda expected as the wolf easily threw him and pinned him to the ground.
Koda growled and bit at him but Iah lunged for his neck and locking his jaws around him, blocking his airway. Koda struggled under him trying to breathe and escape but Iah was too powerful, even in his wolf form.
Calm down, there’s no reason to fight, Iah said to him calmly hoping to settle him down. But he was a stubborn one as Koda dug his own claws into Iah’s side.
He yelped in pain but held on. Koda dug in deeper and threw Iah off him with a powerful force slamming him into a Mesquite tree.
Iah felt slightly fuzzy and barely saw Koda coming at him again. Koda bit into Iah’s upper leg trying to tear it off but Iah regained his strength and pinned Koda back on the ground again.
He was not going to be able to fight this one in wolf form, he needed to become human.
Koda struggled again under the wolf but stopped suddenly as he watched the wolf began to lose its fur and its face morphed into a human head.
Within seconds Koda was being held down by a man.
By the time Jax reached Bone’s garage he was about to drop from exhaustion and pain. His feet were raw from the pavement and the deep embedded glass shards. His throat burned with each breath and with barely any strength he pounded his right hand on the door, praying that Bone was there.
Koda himself was now back to his human shape and completely in shock by what just happened.
There’s a naked man on top of me…
“Apparently seeing another human calms you down, which means you’re not entirely evil just yet. Have you calmed down enough so I can get off of you? This is a bit uncomfortable.”
Koda still could not process everything, “Du…de, you’re nak…ed” he said wide-eyed and looking down, feeling highly embarrassed.
“I take that as a ‘yes, I’ve calmed down’,” he said getting off of Koda.
“Who the hell are you?” Koda said slowly getting up.
The wolf now turned man was tall, muscular and toned with long shaggy black hair to his shoulders and also, again…naked.
“My name is Iah, I am what your people call…a spirit or ‘guardian’ or just spirit guardian. I, and others, are chosen to each young child in your tribe that reaches their 13th age to be their guardian. Unfortunately you’re a difficult one albeit and also special.”
Koda wasn’t fully listening; he was too distracted by this naked man who was just a wolf a few minutes ago.
Iah sighed, “Yes I’m naked, and it’s not all the time I come down here in physical form.”
“What do you want from me?” Koda said sharply.
Iah was taken aback from Koda’s tone; obviously this kid could go from typical human to a vicious animal within a few seconds.
This just made him more dangerous.
“You have no idea what or who you are do you Koda?” Iah said calmly walking towards him.
Koda stiffened, “What do you mean?”
“I’ll just, as you humans may say, ‘cut to the chase’. You’re a Skinwalker.”
Koda remembered many times the stories his grandfather would tell when he was little about Indians becoming Skinwalkers, wearing the skins of a wolf or any other animal and become that animal. They were also evil and killed anyone they came in contact with. Once he was told a Skinwalker would choose a certain family and watch them from afar, waiting for the right moment to attack and kill them in their sleep.
But it was just stories to try and scare young tribe children, he didn’t believe them. Of course now after what he’s been through the past 2 days he’d figured they were true.
“Wait, I remember those stories and Skinwalkers are people who chose to become one not just being one. I didn’t choose to be anything.”
Iah motioned him to sit but he wasn’t going to do anything until this guy did. He felt at ease with Iah but his animalistic instinct told him to be on guard.
“You did not choose to be a Skinwalker but you come from a line of Skinwalkers and you naturally inherited it. Someone in your family, of course, chose to be one… long ago.”
“Okay, fine, so I inherited it. What do you want?”
Iah gently laughed, “I remember watching you grow up, such a stubborn one but you indeed had a choice but someone beat me to it to help you in that choice.
Once you reached 13, you could have chosen not to become a Skinwalker but you needed someone to help you along the way.
Koda was beginning to understand what Iah was trying to explain to him but his anger towards his family and the people who treated him unfairly kept him from feeling remorse.
“Your spiritual journey was supposed to be my beckoning to guide you but your stubborn streak kept you from this and then of course Nukpana got to you before I could.”
“Wait, Nukpana? Who’s that?” Koda said confused.
“You remember him, an Indian of your tribe, dressed in a wolf’s hide. He came to you in that cave, did he not?”
Koda remembered alright but he still didn’t quite understand what happened.
“He influenced you to become a Skinwalker. He is a coward nonetheless since you had no idea what was going on but here we are.” Iah said motioning with his hands of their surrounding area.
“But why are you here? I’m already screwed to the looks of things.”
“Nukpana’s mistake was getting to you through ignorance; you still have your human side. This keeps you from becoming fully evil, I’m here to help you fight that back.”
“And what? Become a human again?”
“Possibly but you must to do something else as well.”
Iah looked at him, his eyes shown like two full moons…pale and ghostly.
“Nukpana must be destroyed.”
Koda sat quietly for a while, taking all that Iah had said to him all in. His choice to become a Skinwalker or stay human, his family and everyone at home that treated him like an outcast.
He started to feel that his choice was better than choosing what Iah wanted him to do.
Perhaps Nukpana was the best thing that happened to him.
“You know what? Screw you,” he said sharply.
Iah looked at him with shock, obviously not expecting this reaction.
“Despite what you say, I’ve never felt better. I was meant to become this and I’m staying that way so go find some other poor 12 year old to guide all right?”
Koda turned on the engine of his bike, getting ready to leave but Iah was not going to give up that easily.
“I refuse to let you leave,” he said
“That ain’t your choice, it’s mine.” Koda growled.
Iah reached for Koda’s arm attempting to drag him off the bike but Koda was quicker as his claws sprouted again and tore through Iah’s chest leaving a large gash.
Koda revved the engine and rode off through the field, leaving Iah on the ground.

Glance the other way
Rip your heart out
I just don't care anymore
You're useless
And uncaring
You know nothing!
Yet you pretend you do
You're a pretender
A pretender is just a liar in disguise
A pretender is a faker
A pretender hides
A pretender is a maker
Of the dark abyss
You told me once
I told you twice
Now what?
Do we forget the past?
Live for the future?
Or remember and continue on our path?
...Decisions...Decisions...
Left or right?
Up or down?
Wrong or right?
Please give me the answer
For I do not know
Right and wrong any longer
Rip your heart out
I just don't care anymore
You're useless
And uncaring
You know nothing!
Yet you pretend you do
You're a pretender

Chapter 4: Sunny day
These were the days of peace and happiness.
Days were spent in peace and love.
Jack loved his job, even though he wasn't that patient with children who didn't pay attention on his classes.
But, he knew. He was doing something
important, something useful.
And most of all, he knew that his lovely wife
and beautiful little Gwenny were waiting for him
at home.
Dana was amazing at kitchen.
Jack loved everything she made.
One happy family they were.
Like every morning, Jack would go to work,
and Dana would make a breakfast and some coffee to wake them up.
Morning coffee was something wonderful
for both of them.
After having breakfast, Jack would drink coffee
with Dana, looking at her with the same gentle
and passionate love that never fades.
"I'll see you later, darling." - Jack said and
went to work.
Dana was still sitting and enjoying in the coffee,
watching through the window the sunlight.
She could smell the flowers that were growing
in the yard.

I lied
I lied to them and got caught
I confessed up and told them the truth
but they get more upset
I walk down the dark hallway
into my lonely empty room
I lie on my bed, thinking
I go to move and I can't
I fall down
pain shooting threw me
they walk in
saying I'm faking to make them feel bad
they walk out
leaving me on the ground
crying out in pain
I finally give up
crawl over to the closet
get the gun and cocked it
put it to my temple and pulled the trigger
life...filled with hate
I've chased down all my demons
but it wasn't enough
mistreated,misplaced,misunderstood.
