“I’m no Queen” I said seriously
“Sorry. Forgot” he shrugged.
“It’s okay” I said. I closed my eyes so I could have a little nap in the sun, when a huge bucket of water was dumped on me. I bolted to my feet and got in a fighting stance.
“Okay, which one of you was that?” I demanded. They all parted to reveal Kid Flash. I ran to my hover cycle and jumped on. I sped after him. Robin somehow managed to jump on.
“I steer, you strangle” he ordered. I let him take the wheel. When we got right beside KF, I jumped onto his back, my hands reaching for his throat. Super Boy, Aqualad and Robin all had to rip me off and hold me back.
“I didn’t actually mean strangle him!” Robin exclaimed
“I told him: I’m not going swimming because I don’t want to wash off the heart shaped herb residue before it sets into my skin. He could’ve messed that up and risked me losing my only advantage: super enhanced senses” I growled
“Wally, apologize before she gets free” Aqualad ordered
“Sorry” he said. My shoulders relaxed.
“Fine. I’m going back to reapply some to the places that may have washed off” I said, jumping on my hover bike.
“I’ll help” Robin offered
“I wish to be alone” I said, speeding off. I hopped off my bike and hid it under bushes and long grass. I entered the cave and picked some fresh herbs. I ground them into a paste and spread it on my skin were Kid Flash had thrown water on. I quickly changed into my suit and exited the cave. I stayed in the cover of the forest, watching the rest of the team play in the water. Nobody even noticed me lurking there.
“What you looking at?” someone breathed in my ear. I jumped up and grabbed my vibranium daggers. I was facing a man of average height with a green cowl over his head. He had a blonde beard and a domino mask covering his eyes.
“Who are you?” I demanded in fighting position.
“Green Arrow. I’m Artemis’s mentor” he added “But the real question is who are you?” he asked
“I am Jaguar. The newest teammate to Young Justice”
“Ah, okay. So, why aren’t you splashing in the water with the rest of them?” he asked
“I just reapplied some special herbs to enhance my senses” I shrugged
“Well, I need to speak to Artemis. I take it you don’t want me to tell them you were lurking?” he smiled
“No. Then how would I be able to lurk further?” I laughed
“True” he smiled, then walked over to Artemis. I decided I liked him.
