Hello, doctor.
The whispers not only echoed in his mind, but on the dark, dimmly lit walls. He ignored it and pretended he hadn't heard, but his forehead was damp with sweating fear. He couldn't hear anything but his rapid heartbeat pounding away like a timer-- and he knew that soon it wouldnt be ticking anymore.
Why are you running, doc? A sinster cackle surrounded him as he briskly walked down the hallway. He knew he couldn't talk for any longer, so he sputtered as calmly as possible, “I'm not r-running." He glanced behind him, and continued to speed along.
Mmmm... not yet, he's not. This voice was a tad deeper, more masculine, but still young, and again, it came from every direction. The man began to believe that the rumors he'd heard were true. And if they were here, they were here for him.
Well, make him! the female insisted. It's more fun when you get to chase them! Another cackle rang out.
Now, Infinity. You know very well that this time we arent here for fun. The word Infinity had emphasis, and a deeper meaning. But the man didn't notice this, and he finally made his way to the door.
When he pulled it open, however, he found himself facing a janitor's closet, though somwhat bigger, and completely empty. "What the-"
He felt a sharp jab to his back as he was thrown into the room. He landed on his stomach and felt the blood flow from his mouth. "Look, Rob, he's got rubies coming out of him!"
"Not now, Infinity. We're here for you, now." The man dragged himself to prop up against the wall. When he saw them, he was very surprised. "Why? Aren't you..." He began to cough up blood. Standing before him were two teens, dressed in full black, with ebony hair. A girl was crouching on the floor, grinning in a sweetly sinester way. The boy was standing tall, and was watching the girl with discomfort and looked like he was in charge of her. He shook his head and pointed his gaze towards the doctor, a smile barely breaking on his lips. "I hear you're a psychiatrist."
The man's pale face went white and he nodded. "Good," the boy spoke. "Maybe you can help with a special case I have." He threw a hand to what the man assumed to be the sister of the boy. He was right. "My sister hasn't been completely sane in a while, and neither has my father. I need you to fix them for me." The psychiatrist stared blankly at him.
"Let me put it this way." A gun cocked, and the girl was suddenly next to the doctor, holding the barrel at his forehead. "Talk longer, and I'll keep Infinity from killing you, and spilling your, what did she call it?" He chuckled. "Your rubies."
The man started to stammer. "Okay, okay, um, well, when did this first begin?"
"I think you know."
"Al-alright. Ah, um, what-who did this? I need the full story."
He sighed. "Fine. I used to be on a team. We did everything- from saving the world to saving a life. One mission, however, went horribly wrong. Infinity and I ran into some guy. He tried to wipe our memories and refresh us, reboot us. But it only half-worked.
"Batman walked in in the middle. A huge fight broke out. Now I'm left with him not remembering anything good he's done, and with her a blood-crazed idiot."
The doctor nodded. "I-I see. Why have you followed them?" he asked, unknowingly sealing his fate.
"Excuse me?"
"I'm j-just saying, just because this was your sister and you were this man's sidekick, does that really mean you had to follow in their footsteps?" The doctor, feeling confident in his analysis, grew stronger with each word he uttered. Maybe he would survive this.
He couldn't have been more wrong.
The boy's hands clenched in anger at a word in the sentence. Sidekick. A snarl ripped through the girl's teeth when she heard it, and looked towards her brother. He looked at her sadly. "Go ahead."
The man didn't even have time to scream. The bullet went straight through, piercing his skull and crushing his mind. Another shot went straight into his spine, and he fell to the floor, unmoving.
The girl, Infinity, stood, and looked at her blood-stained cheeks and hands in a mirror in the outside hall. "Rubies," she whimpered softly. Then the grin returned, and she turned to her brother, Robin. He simply looked at her through his sunglasses. "Sorry, kiddo. Looks like we're gonna hafta try again, huh?" He ran his hands through his shining, black hair. "Rubies," the girl murmured, and placed his hand in hers, wiping the blood onto him and pointing. "Aren't they pretty rubies, Rob?"
He smiled and nodded, pulling off both his and her glasses to reveal sparkling, jewel-like blue eyes. "Yeah, rubies are alright. But I like sapphires better."

I watch you stand,
You enjoy,
You spinn my head,
I know your name, Roy.
You cant hide,
I will find you,
A guy like you, should wear a warning.
I can see you now,
I can see you there,
Watching me,
But maybe, i dont care.
Your red hair,
Your eyes i can watch,
You love me,
Kick it up a notch?
Babe you cant have me,
I like to play hard to get,
You cant catch me,
I'll take my chance, its a bet.
I slip through you fingers everytime,
I kiss your lips,
I run through your hair,
With my finger tips.
And as my tohuge touched you,
I stood on the ledge, and fell back,
You try to catch,
But i slipp through.
Your face is stone cold,
But i know your mourning,
A guy like you,
Should wear a warning.

I'm standing, i'm hiding,
You can't see me, invisible,
But i'm fighting.
I'm fighting on the inside,
I'm fighting with my heart,
You see me, whole,
But I know,
I'm falling, falling,
Apart.
Memories are going,
We are fighting, on the rooftop,
Close to falling, way up high,
Our silhouettes, shadows for,
The night sky.
You're tired, as am I
But one must win,
We won't give up,
Fighting, in pain, I
must end,
Now cry.
You've won, that's fine,
But you take pity, forget the fight,
You helped me, you saved me,
Gave me my light.
You can't see me, invisible,
But i'm fighting.
I'm fighting on the inside,
I'm fighting with my heart,
