**I do not own any of the characters in the story beside Mercy, Heather, and Colin**
I REALLY didn't want to deal with this. Not right now, at least. I glanced over at Colin, the panic starting to return to his face. "Colin, go. I just be a few minutes." I tried smiling reassuringly. He gave a weak nod and quickly disappeared in a cloud of blue smoke. I looked down, "You guys are going to kick my butt, aren't you?" I mumbled out. "Maybe later," Blade smirked. "But for now we just want to talk." Nightwing interrupted. "Yeah? Well I don't." I frowned, trying to over up what I was really thinking. I didn't want want to tell them that I was sorry, I want going to stop, but I was sorry. I couldn't though, I couldn't let them get to me.
"Merc, why? You were a part of this team, you had no reason to leave!" Aisling tried to ask. I put up a hand to stop her, and looked at the ground, chuckling the slightest bit. I sighed, maybe I should just tell them? Get a few things off my chest, "You think I had no reason to leave?" I whispered softly, beginning to look up with teary eyes. "I had EVERY reason to. Phoebe, Fin, Tula, Kaldur... You guys didn't do anything!" the tone in my voice was getting progressively higher. "I betrayed the team, I was going to blow up the cave... All because someone talked me into it!" "But you didn't!" Jessica interrupted. "I almost did!" I snapped at her, she receded. "I almost did," I said in a softer tone now, "Face the facts, with every day I was on that team.. It was just driving me closer to this." I let one tear fall freely from my cheek. "Mercy-" Conner was cut off by Heather telaporting up next to me. As soon as she saw what a wreck I was, anger immediately flared in her eyes. "WHAT did you guys do!?!" she shouted at them. "Heather..." I tried being as calm as I could in this kind of situation, and she snapped her neck over to me. "Can we just get out of here?" I asked. She groaned, and quickly sent out a glowing green pulse, knocking them all back off their feet, and then transported us off back to the same old warehouse I was always in. Right before we left though, I managed to pull off one small diamond and left it on the ground for them. Okay, I did feel somewhat guilty....
I found myself standing on top of the coffee table located in the main room of the warehouse, Heather standing beside me on the floor. "Geez, Heather! You could be a little bit more precise with your landings!" I huffed, stepping off the coffee table and storming down the hallway and into my bedroom. I had too many things running though my head. Guilt, anger, and wanting revenge.

Somewhere in the Arctic, 4:49 a.m.
Nathan curled up on the rocky floor of the dark cave, protected from the snow for now. He'd found a piece of rock chipped off from the edges of the cavern and had somehow created a spark that had ignited into a flame. How it was sustaining, well, he didn't know. But it was keeping him warm, and for that he was grateful.
It suddenly dawned on him that he felt immensely drained, nearly useless. His heart wasn't beating as fast as usuall. Pushing himself up, he went to find a pool of ice, to see what was wrong. What he saw shocked him: his hair had turned to it's orginal mocha hue, a sign of no powers.
He sighed, and realized with a jolt he was in a cave. A cave... and the last person he'd seen was the Batman's daughter. This small fact slightly amused him, but amusement turned to worry. "Fin..." he murmured. "Why can't you see past what I've done? Why can't you see that I love you?"
