Everyone loaded, and Humphrey got in control. They started to take off, but General Thompson remembered something, “Wait, you need to teach us to fly!”
The plane took off, “Ahh, hell!”
Humphrey was teaching Cando the stuff to fly the plane, “Keep in mind that these levers on the opposite side are reverse thrusters. You need to use those when you land, and use them slightly when you are being pushed back. This lever is the fuel dump, don’t use it unless you have authority to. Let’s see, oh this is the altitude gauge, it measures how high you are. What else looks interesting?”
“I just want to fly this thing.”
“Don’t go crazy, we have our whole pack in this thing.”
“You can trust me!”
Humphrey slowly let go of the controls, “It’s in your control right now.”
Cando sneezed causing the plane to go out of control. With Humphrey’s quick reactions, he got the plane back into control from a frenzy.
“Dude, remind to not let you fly this thing.”
Cando was breathing heavy and was stunned so he couldn’t move. Humphrey laughed at his reaction and continued to fly. Kate came up to the flight deck.
“How’s my sexy husband doing? Did you almost crash?”
“Actually that was Cando. He should probably start off with a small plane and build up.”
Scar herself came up to check on Cando and saw him sitting there pretty much paralyzed.
“Oh my God! Cando, what happened?”
“I nearly crashed!”
Scar hugged Cando, “It’s ok, my sexy husband! You’re in for something special tonight!”
“We’ll be flying through the night. It’s alright 10:45 in the evening. And we took off 15 minutes ago.”
“How long is the flight?”
“About three hours.”
Scar picked up Cando, “We’re going to the truck.”
“Ooh!” Humphrey said, “Cando is going to get something tonight!”
Scar carried Cando off and went downstairs to the truck. Humphrey needed a co-pilot, so he called up Mooch.
“Hey Mooch, wanna learn to fly?”
“I’d love too!”
“Come on up, man!”
Mooch came up and saw all the controls, “Holy crap! Why are there so many?”
“It’s looks harder than it is.”
Mooch sat down on Humphrey, “Dude, in the other seat! I can’t breath!”
“Oh sorry!”
Mooch sat in the other seat and Humphrey taught him the stuff. Meanwhile, Cando was surely getting it. Cando tried to control his volume because there were other wolves around and the sound could easily escape the car. He still bragged and bragged saying, “Oh sweet Scar!”
One kid-wolf did manage to hear it, and went to check it out. He saw Scar on top of Cando, mounting him. Cando himself had a huge smile on his face. The kid-wolf backed away really disturbed.
“They could at least do that in a lavatory.”
The parents came to the kid, “What’s wrong?”
“I saw wolves having sex for the first time.”
“What! Where!?”
“In that F-350.”
The parents marched over to the F-350 and tapped on the glass. Cando and Scar finished up, but the parents still had evidence because, once again, both of the bottom parts of their bodies were covered in jizz. Cando and Scar looked up and saw the angry parents.
“Our son saw you two mating!”
“Oh, sorry!”
“We’re telling Humphrey, the new Field Marshal.”
“He happens to be our friend!”
“Screw you!”
The parents walked away. Later, the plane went into turbulence and everyone started freaking out. Hutch checked the radar to see storms approaching.
“Guys, we’re approaching storms, we might have to re-route.”
“I’m not sure if we could do that. We have to fly right through it.”
“Is this plane able to handle it?”
“We’re about to find out.”
Humphrey turned on the PA radio, “Wolves of the pack, please remain calm. We’re going to fly through an approaching storm. I’m not completely sure if this thing can handle a storm, but I’ll find out.”
From the flight deck, Humphrey could hear screaming, “Guys, calm down! If we start to go down, I will make sure we land safely. I love every last wolf in this plane. You are all my family.”
Humphrey approached the storm. He realized it was just any storm. It was swirling around with intense rain and 90 MPH winds. It was a hurricane!
“Hutch, why didn’t you tell me it was a hurricane!?”
“I didn’t think there was a need.”
“We’re going to have to fly over the thing until it passes.”
Humphrey ascended causing the plane to stall, “Come on, baby! Push those engines!”
The plane got sucked into the storm.
“You gotta do something, Humphrey!” Mooch yelled.
“Hutch, how far is the eye from where we are?”
“The what?”
“The eye, the non- storm part! At the eye we can try to raise this plane above the storm!”
“Oh God, we have like 50 miles, this is a huge storm.”
“Ok, going 500 MPH we’ll make it there in 10 minutes.”
Scar felt massive pain in her stomach, “Ahh! Cando! I have massive pain! I don’t know what’s happening!”
Cando put his head to Scar’s stomach, “It’s time! The pup is coming!” Cando had to alert everyone around them, “Guys, don’t look in here! My wife is giving birth! We have to do this right here in the truck!”
Scar started pushing, “We got a head! Keep going!” Scar pushed for two more minutes, “Come on three more pushes!” The pup eventually came out and Scar’s misery was over.
“Mike,” Scar said, “Do you agree?”
“Yes, I do. It’d break the traditions of both sides of the family of having unique names.”
“Is that good or bad?”
“Both, but either way, Mike is good.”
The turbulence stopped and they heard Humphrey’s voice, “Wolves of this pack, the turbulence has stopped temporarily, an we’re in the eye of the storm. Trust me, we’re only half way through. However, I will try to raise this plane above the storm, so prepare for a major incline.”
“Cando, I’m scared!”
Cando covered Scar as if to protect her from the hurricane outside of the plane. Humphrey tried as hard as he could to get the plane above the hurricane. The plane would not go above 37,000 feet.
“Mooch, you gotta help me get this plane above! We have five more miles until the storm picks back up!” Humphrey yelled to Mooch.
“Dude, try bringing the flaps down.”
Humphrey looked at Mooch in disbelief, “You’re just now suggesting that?”
“What? You’re asking for help now.”
Humphrey put the flaps down and raised above the clouds. Humphrey and Mooch were victorious in getting above the clouds.
“Whoo!” Humphrey yelled as they both got up and hugged each other.
“Victory!” Mooch yelled.
“Thanks for helping me Mooch!”
“We’re friends, friends help each other out.”
Humphrey called through the PA system, “We have made it above the clouds, and we are turbulence free until we land. Just enjoy yourselves, get some sleep, and if you want to learn to fly, come up, and I’ll be happy to teach you.”
When they thought nothing could go wrong, they were almost out of gas! Humphrey had to call Boise Airport which, ironically, is in Idaho. He also had to call through the hurricane with terrible communication lines.
“To Boise international airport! I’m not sure if you can hear this message, can you hear it?”
“You… fly… hurricane?”
“No, we’re above the hurricane, but we’re almost out of fuel! We need a landing ASAP!”
“We… supposed… let pla… in…”
“Please sir, we have 72 souls on board!”
“Only … 2? Must… small plane!”
“No sir, we’re in a C-5.”
“A… 5!? What… doing… thing?”
“We bought it from the Air Force.”
“Alr… we… lights… on… They… be turned… to max… bright.”
“Ok, thanks sir!”
Humphrey radioed through PA, “Ok, guys, I know what you’re thinking, MAKE UP MY MIND! Sadly, we have to land in this hurricane because we don’t have enough fuel. I would’ve rerouted but Hutch wasn’t specific enough about the type of storm. I’ll be sure all 72 make it on the ground safely. While you’re sitting here scared, I’m going to play Metallica’s Dyers Eve to calm you down. Just kidding it’ll make you more tense, but it’s still awesome.”
“Mooch, are you ready to go for the dive of your life? Literally, it’s life or death.”
Mooch turned on the PA again, “Alright, guys prepare for the dive of your life. Just bear with me here! I’ll make a countdown of going down,” Humphrey and Mooch both took a breath, “3...2...1!”
Humphrey dove with mass turbulence and suspense. At about 15,000 feet, Humphrey lost control, “Oh God! I lost control!”
Mooch fainted, he was both scared, and had lack of oxygen due to being so fat and holding his breath.
“Mooch, stay with me!” Mooch didn’t move, “Damn it! I’m on my own!”
Hutch and Winston left the flight deck during the two or three minutes of calm flying. Humphrey was down to 10,000 feet. He remember the time he lost control maneuvering between a car and a semi-truck. That time it was just his and Kate’s life on the line. This time, it was the whole pack! Not only that, but the controls were about 15 times more complex. No exaggeration.
Humphrey pushed the plane to full throttle. It was literally upside down. He did a corkscrew flip, and while in the 90 degree angle, pulled the throttle back into reverse thrust, causing the plane to stall. The plane’s nose faced the ground, then Humphrey put the plane into full throttle. The plane wouldn’t pull up to straighten out.
“This isn’t going as planned!” Humphrey yelled.
Now with the ground in sight, Humphrey thought it was over. He got a message from God, hail hit the windshield and formed a crack. It was friction, friction was the answer! He had to put up the flaps, put the wheels down. He also brought back the thrust, and put slight reverse thrust. He got back in control just 20 meters from the ground. That’s a little more than a quarter of the size of a football field!
“To Boise International, I see your lights!”
“I almost r… you lou… and c…er”
With a near scrape to the wing, Humphrey made the landing, “All I need is fuel, and I’ll be on my way.”
“We can’t have planes take off during a storm like this.”
“I need fuel TONIGHT!”
“We’ll send a truck! I see your plane! Park in front of gate A-5.”
A fuel truck filled up the C-5 and left, “Thanks for the fill up!”
Humphrey reverse thrusted out of the spot and got to the runway, “You Can’t take off!”
“I have to!”
“This is at your own risk.”
Humphrey took off, and got above the clouds. The storm eventually passed and it was clear for landing at Jasper! Humphrey radioed over the PA.
“We’re home! We have successfully stolen a plane, we went through that intense crap! But now, it’s all done! Now get to your dens and get some sleep.”
Humphrey parked the plane in a valley, in fact, the same one that the caribou nearly killed Kate in. It was the best place for it, and if the caribou come through there, the plane will only have a few scratches. That night, it was tough sleep for everyone except for Mooch.
