Lying Figure
Early next morning, Kate and Lilly set out for Silent Hill. They did not really pack anything because they did not know how long they would be gone. Kate made a few mix CD's of Mary E. McGlynn fo the road. "Kate, why are we going to Silent Hill again?" Lilly asked. "Something there may have caused Humphrey to kill himself. I want to know." Kate said. "Kate, I love you and care about you, but I have a bad feeling about this. Let's just move on." Lilly said. Kate stopped the car and glared at her sister. "Look, you would do the same for Garth would you? Don't be such a puss. You have a damn gun on your hands and we most likely won't have to use it!" Kate said. Lilly lowered her ears. "Sorry Kate." she said. Kate sighed. "I'm sorry I kinda went off on you. I just want to know why he did it." she said. Kate then started the engine and moved on. Kate then grew restless and decided to turn on the CD's she made.

After listening to a couple more songs, Kate noticed the rain turned to fog. "Great, fucking great." Kate said. She looked at her sister, who was asleep. She then remembered how Lilly would have nightmares when they were pups.
*Flashback*
"Ah!" Lilly cried from the bottom bunk. Kate sat up and looked at her sister from the top. "What's wrong?" Kate asked, tiredly. Kate was 12 and Lilly was 11. "I had a bad dream Kate. I'm scared." Lilly said. "Do you want me to come down there?" Kate said. "Thanks Kate." Lilly said. "No prob. Thats what sisters are for right?" Kate said as she climbed into bed next to Lilly. Lilly nuzzled Kate as she drifted off to sleep. "Im here to protect you Lilly." Kate whispered as she watched her sister sleep. With that she drifted off to sleep.
Kate then looked at the gas meter and saw that it was on E. "What? I thought I filled it up this morning!" Kate said. "Lilly! Lilly!" Kate said, tapping her sister. "What?" Lilly yawned, sitting up. "Were out of gas. We have to walk." Kate said. "How? Didn't you fill up this morning?" Lilly asked. "I thought so, but I guess not." Kate said. "It's kind of dark so grab that hands-free flashlight I got you." Kate said. Lilly opened the glove compartment and grabbed the lights and their guns. "What? Your taking your gun?" Kate said. "Just in case." Lilly said. "Hey grab those walkies on your side just in case we split up." Lilly said. Kate did so and handed one to Lilly. After getting their gear on, they got out of the car. "Hey, you got the town map?" Kate asked. "Yeah. Let's go." Lilly said.
The two sisters then walked down the foggy, winding road. It seemed that the farther they went, the thicker the fog was. "Damn, what's up with this fog?" Kate said, turning on her light. "This is not normal fog I tell you. I have never seen it this thick." Lilly replied. They continued to walk until they came up to a sign that said Welcome to Silent Hill. "Looks like were here." Kate said. After walking past the sign, they entered the town. They were surprised to find it completely empty. "Ok, so much for the welcoming committee." Lilly joked. "Lilly not now." Kate said, looking at the map. "Lets set up a meeting area in case we get lost." Kate said. She looked at the map. There was Rosewater Park, Jacks Inn, Pete's Bowl-O-Rama. "How about Jacks Inn? Maybe we can find help." Lilly said. "Sounds Good." Kate said. They started making their way towards the inn. It was quiet...too quiet... "HELLO?" Lilly called. No response. "Kate, I have a REALLY bad feeling about this." Lilly said. "Now that you say that, I do too." Kate said, looking around. "Let's go back." Lilly said. "Where would we go? Were out of gas remember?" Kate said. After a few minutes of walking they reached Jack's Inn.
Kate went to the front desk. "HELLO!? IS ANYONE HERE?" Kate called. She rang the bell a couple of times too. "Kate, everyone is gone. This is not right." Lilly said. "Lilly, can you shut up for two seconds!?" Kate cried. "Sorry. I'm just a little scared. I know you are too." Lilly said. As much as she did not want to admit it. Kate was scared. She had never been scared in her life. "Kate, just grab the keys and let's go." Lilly said. "If he comes back, we'll explain to him." Kate nodded and grabbed the keys to 206. They got into the room, it was actually pretty decent for a inn like this. "Ok, there are two keys, you take one and I take one. If we get lost, come back here." Kate said. "Got it!" Lilly said. Kate found a second map of Silent Hill. "Here's another map." Kate said, handing it to Lilly. Lilly put it in her front pocket. "Ok, where should we go first?" Kate asked looking at the map. "How about Brookhaven Hospital? That looks promising." Lilly suggested. "Ok, I have to go use the bathroom real quick." Kate said.
Kate went into the bathroom and shut the door. She saw a mirror cabinet, and opened it. There was a key in it. Kate took the key and it said. Room C4 on it. "It's a hospital key, what's it doing here?" Kate said. She then closed the cabinet and on the mirror was a bloody message that said. "I told you to stay away...." Kate screamed and ran out of the bathroom. "Wow, was it that nasty?" Lilly said. "L-Look in the bathroom. On the fucking mirror!" Kate screamed. "Ok, Kate chill out." Lilly said. Lilly went into the bathroom. "Uh Kate, its not there." Lilly said. "WHAT? I swear I saw it!" Kate cried. "Just look!" Lilly said. Kate went in and saw the message gone. No way...no fucking way....Did I imagine that? Kate thought. I had too...there is just no way...I must have... "Uh earth to Kate! You ready?" Lilly said. "Yeah. let's go Hey, in the cabinet I found a key to room C4 of the Hospital." Kate said, showing her sister the key. "Odd, whats a hospital Key doing here?" Lilly said. "Maybe one of the doctors staying here left it." Lilly said. "I don't know...first the message then a strange key. It does not add up. Lets head for the hospital." Kate said. She then put a clip in her gun. "I thought you said we most likely won't need that?" Lilly said. "Well, I changed my mind." Kate said nervously.
They left the inn and began to make their way towards Brookhaven. Lilly's radio began to act up, emitting static. "Shit, what's wrong with this damn thing?" Lilly said. Kate's began to act up too. Now Kate knew something was up. They were standing in front of an alleyway. Kate noticed a trail of blood leading in. "Lilly, get your gun." Kate said. Lilly did so as she and Kate made their way towards the ally. They noticed that the deeper into the ally they go, the louder the radio gets. That's when they saw a horribly mutilated dead body. "Oh my god...Who could have..." Kate said. She noticed another body right in the corner of the ally. It twitched like crazy and slowly rose to it's feet. Lilly's eyes widened with horror. It looked like a human with a straight jacket of flesh. A human trapped in it's own skin. There was a huge hole in it's chest. "What the fuck?" Kate said, aiming her gun. "FREEZE! DON'T MOVE!" Lilly cried. The thing only limped towards them. "I'll shoot!" Kate cried. Yet, it still ignored them. Out of the hole in it's chest came a black sludge. A small amount landed on Lilly's arm. "AH IT FUCKING BURNS!" Lilly screamed, clutching her arm. "That's it!" Kate cried, firing. The thing took six body shots and for her last shot, she took out the head. As soon as the lying figure fell down, the static stopped. Lilly was crying from the pain in her arm. Kate saw a first aid kit lying on the ground. "Here take this." Kate said, patching the burn mark up. "Thanks Kate, I'm all better." Lilly said with a smile. "What was that? It's not human or wolf. It sounds crazy, but I think that's a....a...monster." Kate said. "I agree. Let's get to Brookhaven before more show up." Lilly said. "Yeah lets go!" Kate replied.
