When Nathan woke up he noticed he was in Kate and Humphrey's den. Then he saw them Cuddling. " ouck " he said quietly. He tried to sneak out quietly but for a pup that's hard. " whawhat oh hey shadow your probly wondering why your here but......... we adopted you " .
Kate said in a happy voice. " well I cant keep real parents in both forms " he said quietly. " well you can always go back to eve and " Kate couldn't finish. " oh thank you " he yelped then tackling them. " wow you really wanted to get away from her didnt you " Kate asked. " you have no idea he finished.
after about five minutes they were normal in a group hug. " okay guys I have to leave for alpha duties and Humphrey be nice to shadow". Kate told them, " okay " he called. " hey Nathan about last night why were you crying " Humphrey asked in a serious tone.
" nothing just had to tell eve about my history " Nathan told him. " can you tell me " Humphrey begged. But mooch shaky and salty were about to walk in when they stopped to hear the conversation. Then they heard everything.
When they walked in they saw Humphrey hugging shadow. With shadow trying to get away.
" hey guys how you doing " they said when they walked in. " waithow long have you been there " Nathan asked in a very serious tone. " enough to hear it all" mooch replied.
" guys don't tell anybody not your wives no one " Nathan almost yelled. There was a crowd of okays. " but we were wondering if you guys want to go log sledding " salty asked. " sure why not " Humphrey answered.
On the way there they ran into kaitlyn. " hey guys ill catch up to you" Nathan told them " okay see yah " they answered. " hey kaitlyn how are you " he asked. " good you " she added " good but I wanted to ask um, will you go out with me" he asked.
" yes yes thank you shadow " she yelped. Then tackled him planting a kiss on his lips what made him blush through his fur. " but ill talk to you later okay " he asked " definatly she finished.
When he crossed the path he saw the guys waiting for him with similes on their faces. " good job shadow " they yelled. " what I just asked her out nothing big " he said
After they got to the hill Humphrey was in the front of the log shaky behind him shadow in the middle salty behind him and mooch in the back. " ready go " Humphrey yelled. " air wolves " salty also yelled. Then when they went to slow down a rock appeared out of nowhere and they hit it dead on. " aaaaahahhhhhhh" they yelled.
Humphrey, salty, shaky, and mooch landed in a wolf pile while Nathan weighed less then them and went twenty feet further and hit another rock face first at. 24 miles per hour. " SHADOW " Humphrey yelled then chased after him.
When he got there shadow had a bloody head and a little split in the ear. " that hurt " shadow whimpered quietly. " okay hold on". Humphrey said calmly. He picked him up by the scruff.
When he got to eves den shadow already passed out " what happend " eve asked while getting some stuff for the wounds. " well we were log sledding when he hit his face dead on with a rock at 24 mph. " okay probly a fractureand broken teeth but not sure, Humphrey get Kate and hurry " eve told him frantictly.
By the time Kate came shadow was bleeding heavily. " ok guys you might want to say your goodbyes " eve said shedding a tear. " look shadow no matter what happens well always love you, please don't die just remember everyone here will miss you " Kate and Humphrey told him.
When kaitlyn came cando and hutch couldn't stop her. " shadow please don't die your all I have left please don't die " she started to break down.
When it was morning eve gave him minutes to live so almost everyone he knew came to say goodbye.
Everyone had tears in their eyes. " look Kate if he dosent die in an hour you want us to put him out of his misery " eve asked. " yeah it will be best " Kate answered. Then the hour came.
