It was a stand-off between me and the mysterious black wolf.We circled around the fire very slowly,anticipating who would strike first.Lucky to say,this wasn't the first showdown I've been in."C'mon,make your move Loner!"he taunted.I would have charged if it were insulting,so I remained silent.I was holding my breath so I could here shifting of his paws,but it was a little difficult over the crackling of embers."You know that you've gotten yourself in a bad mess.So,I will give you a count to three,and you better be gone by then."I warned him."One.Two.Three!"He lunged at me on three,but I suspected he would do that.I jumped at him and grabbed him and again we tumbled down a hill.Except this time,only one of us would be waking up.
An hour had passed,and it seemed like it was all a dream.But I remembered the fight with the black wolf.I had just realized I was wet.I didn't pay close attention to what was down.the hill,but now I knew it was a river that led to a lake."Hello!?" I yelled.No response,I was on my own but had the feeling that I was being watched,but by who?"State your business,Lone Wolf!" a voice echoed.It was from a figure standing on a small cliff edge.He was another wolf,that was for sure,but was he hostile or friendly.I guess I'll find out soon enough."It's all right,I'm not here to cause trouble.I'm lost and need to find my friends."I explained."Where were you and your friends headed?"he asked.I had forgot for a second but remembered."Jasper,we were heading to Jasper."I answered.But he didn't speak,he just disappeared,but not without saying one last thing."Well,if you are heading to Jasper,then I must tell you one thing...you've wasted your time and effort on something that doesn't exist...not anymore."And that was all I heard,then silence,not even the wind howling or crickets chirping.Just Silence."Something that doesn't exist...not anymore."I repeated"Ezio,Maia,everyone..."I mumbled"gone."
The journey,it was over,I wondered if it was because of me that this happened,or it would have happened regardless.I wasn't so keen on giving up,but what else could I do?Get answers to the situation?But it was either that or all my work and everyone's death would mean nothing.But were they dead?Had the other packs even reach Jasper?I was questioning what I thought happened and formed a new guess."I was tackled by the black wolf over the edge,but I was washed away by the river." I said to myself."So maybe,I had just been washed away.But that leaves room for possibilities,what if Ezio and Maia are now the captives of...whoever these rogue wolves are."
I had to figure out where I was before heading in any direction,I mean I did just get washed away for maybe a mile or so.But now I'm probably further out into Canada,maybe if I head to the North,I'll find the northern pack."Okay,just one more cliff and I should be..."There was some howling,and the air got colder."What's going on?Is there another pack here?"I asked myself,I climbed faster to see if there was something good up ahead.But apparently,my luck isn't that good,because as I slowed at the top of the cliff edge,I didn't want to alert anyone so I was sneaking into the bushes.It was the same wolf who had tackled me hours before,that was the situation.But what made it worse,he wasn't alone.AND to make it even worse,Ezio and Maia were being held captive.And it was all because of me.
