It was a warm day in the middle of August, and all was calm. But that would change.
"Kate?" Humphrey asked, just waking up from being woken by Kate, licking one of the pups, trying to make it fall asleep again.
"Sorry dear." Kate said with sorrow.
"It's fine, don't worry, but you need to get some sleep. I don't want you to become super grumpy over no sleep." He said, cuddling up next to her.
"Ok." She blushed when Humphrey had started licking her to make her look half descent.
"We haven't been to the Moon Light Howl, have we?" Kate asked.
"We can't, with you still nursing our pups, and what has been making me go half insane, we never have the time to." Humphrey said admitting he was driving him self insane.
"Humphrey? What's wrong?" She said, with her ears up, curiously.
"It's nothing..." Humphrey said, but Kate knew he was lying.
"Ok, some thing is up, please tell me." Kate said with a worried expression on her face.
"Look, it was some thing that happened a long time ago and I don't feel like talking about." Humphrey said, trying not to cry. Kate then began whimpering at Humphrey, and then he finally spat it out.
"Fine, i was just a pup, and my family had suddenly disappeared one day." Humphrey started, but Kate didn't want to here the rest of it.
"Sorry, never mind." She said. Humphrey then sighed, then fell asleep.
Kate looked at him, then said to her self "Sleep well, my wonderful Omega." and then fell asleep, cuddled up next to Humphrey.

Tomorrow!
---------------------------------------------------------------
Kate woke up surprised that Lyle didn't wake her up, as he usually did. Kate felt nice when she woke up, but she did remember that there weren't going to add to there family until Kate was done nursing the pups. She then sighed, got up, stretched, and sat back down. She hasn't felt like moving ever since she had given birth to the pups, which bothered Humphrey. She said every time he offered a walk with him, 'No.' because she was still very tired, and she was also nursing or sleeping.
Humphrey woke up. He looked at Kate, who was cuddled up next to him, she felt him move his head.
"Morning Hun." She said.
"Morning." Humphrey said in reply. He then noticed she didn't have bags under her eyes.
"You actually got sleep." Humphrey scolded her.
She looked at him.
"Yes, Lyle decided not to wake me up this time." She said starring at the pup. Humphrey laughed quietly, trying not to wake the pups.
"Delila decided to get up, walk around last night." Kate said.
"Really?" Humphrey asked.
"Yes." Kate said. Delila then got up and said mamma and dadda. They then both gasped.
"First words!" Kate said.
"I know!" Humphrey said. At this moment, Candy, a god forbidden Female Omega, Who kinda loved Humphrey, even if he was already married, came up to their den. Kate looked at her.
"Need some thing, Candy?" Kate said, angrily.
"Yes, I do. I need to talk to Humph-" Candy was cut off by Humphrey.
"What do you need?" He said. She then forgot.
"Never mind." She said, looking at Humphrey with a 'Devilish' face. Kate growled at her. Candy then left their den. Kate looked at Humphrey.
"Do you like her?" Kate asked.
"As a friend, nothing more, nothing less." Humphrey replied. Kate was happy to hear, but because it looked to Kate that Candy 'Liked' Humphrey, and sighed.
She then thought to her self 'Women in this pack have been going 'GaGa' over Humphrey a lot recently.'. She then just sat there starring at their pups with Humphrey.

Two weeks later!
----------------------------------------------------------------
Kate and Humphrey were in their den, talking.
Kate finally stopped nursing the pups, because they got to old for that. Humphrey started taking walks with Kate, again, and he was happy. Kate, who remembered what Humphrey said to Kate about expanding the family, but Humphrey forgot. So Kate had to remind him.
They were out on a walk when she brought this up.
"Humphrey, remember when you said you wanted to expand our family from just more than three pups to five to six?" Kate asked.
"Now, I didn't say any thing about 'More Than Three Pups'. But yes, why" He wondered, suddenly feeling scared.
"Tonight?" She said. Humphrey did blush, but he didn't want Kate to be the birthing freak.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Later that evening!
----------------------------------------------------------------
He whimpered and wined, while Kate, again, grabbed him by his ear, and pulled him to their den. He then thought 'Again, what have I gotten my self into!'. Suddenly, he saw Eve. She heard him whimper and wine. She then Laughed and walked away. Humphrey gulped really hard. He then thought, 'I hope I don't become a freak' thinking back to what he was thinking earlier.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Again, skipping doggy love part... Tomorrow!
----------------------------------------------------------------
Humphrey woke up to Kate cleaning him. He thought this be disgusting, but at least he didn't need to go to the creek and bump into Candy again, who was always sitting down there.
"Thank you Kate." He said, getting up.
"Oh why you are welcome!" She said in a playful mood. Humphrey knew where this was going, and put a brake in it very quickly.
"Ok... Kate, your not going to make me-" Humphrey started, but didn't finish, because his mouth was shut by Kate.
"Please. Don't." Kate said, trying to keep him from talking. She then kissed him on the lips, and walked out side to get some fresh air.
Humphrey followed her out, when he came up to her, he rubbed him self across here side. She blushed and giggled. They both sat down, next to each other. Humphrey literally sat right up on Kate's side. She again, looked at him and kissed him.
"Thank you for being a good husband, Humphrey." Kate said out of the blue.
"Your welcome." Humphrey then put his arm around Kate.
"Well, I am hungry." Kate said.
"For what?" Humphrey asked in a joking manor.
"Very funny Humphrey." Kate said. Humphrey started laughing at this reply. Kate looked at him again, but then got up to go get Caribou pieces for him and Kate.
"I'm back!" Kate yelled.
"Ok!" Humphrey yelled back. They sat right out side their den all night talking. 'I wonder what will happen to us?' Humphrey thought.

This was something that I did for my writing class last year and it ended up being a bit different from the original Missing Parents so I decided to share it.

It was a calm day at Jasper Park in the Western Pack. The pack of wolves were going about their day, but in the den of the leader, there was much excitement. It was Father’s Day and Kate and her husband, Humphrey, were busy getting ready for her parents to arrive. Kate’s sister, Lilly, and her husband, Garth, had come to help as well. Humphrey was busy keeping their three pups, Stinky, Claudette, and Runt out of trouble.

It wasn’t...

I decided to add a section for references and callbacks since these stories have quite a few of them. There are a couple of things that I don’t really count as references since they’re pretty much a constant in the movies. One of them is Runt climbing a tree and the other is Humphrey logboarding, both of which I tried to include at least once in the stories that I could include them in.

Newest Additions

Right away, I made a reference to the second movie by addressing the fact that Garth and Lilly were living in the tall grass. There’s a reference to the first movie after Kate finds out...

Now it was time to start the second part of Viggo’s plan, which was also based off something else that I made a lot of changes to. Again, it started similar to the piece that had inspired it and relied on Viggo’s main campsite in the Northern Region being destroyed and Viggo looking horribly defeated and in a state that we have never seen him in.

Robert going rogue was an idea I got from the piece that inspired this second part of Viggo’s plan, except instead of it being an actual mutiny, it ends up being another massive deception by Viggo, hence why I called this part of the story, “His...

I had also decided to tell the story of what happened to Garth’s mother. I had very briefly touched on it in Missing Parents, but now, I had more ideas for more detail and really wanted to tell that part of the story too. First, I had to introduce Garth’s mother before she died so the readers could establish some kind of connection to her and over the course of writing the second chapter, I found myself emphasizing that Garth had a very special bond with his mother, which I knew would make her death even more painful.

Since this was essentially Humphrey’s origin story, I couldn’t not...

Chapter 25: The Betrayal

Viggo had just barely gotten back to his base in time. After escaping from the valley, he ran as fast as he could through the woods toward what remained of his campsite in the Northern Region. By the time he finally arrived, half of his upper arm was swollen and the skin was just starting to turn dark.

He stumbled into his tent and immediately began digging through the chest behind his desk where he kept the antivenom he had specially gotten for this very scenario. The antivenom did the job and for a month or so afterward, Viggo took the time he needed to recover from...

The night sky was dark that night, the light of the stars and moon hidden by a thick blanket of jet-black clouds. From the clouds drifted hundreds of thousands of snowflakes, the winter winds guiding them on their journey to the ground. From the soil, a forest of lodgepole pines stood tall, looming over the snowy, Canadian landscape. A brotherly pair of wolves traveled within their shadows, the eldest of the two in the lead. The younger male stuck closely behind his companion, using him as a shield against the blustering wind. Despite this, snow still managed to cling onto his coat. He growled....

Chapter 10: Ride to Victory

As they retreated through the woods and back towards the valley, Humphrey and the others did so in a way so as not to lose the enemy, but also didn't let them get too close. They just needed to lure them back to the pack and then the real battle would begin.

As they reentered the territory, the wolves stopped and turned around to face back into the woods as the humans and the remaining dogs emerged. Humphrey and the others stood with a proud, disciplined, almost militaristic stance, waiting for the trap to be sprung. When the humans appeared out of the woods, they...

Chapter 4: Revenge of a King

The rest of the group was hiding in the bushes just outside the pack borders when they heard Humphrey's terrible scream. The worst part was the fact that they couldn't do anything about it.

Back in the den, one of King's henchwolves entered the cave.

"Sir," he said.

King looked up with a furious look on his face.

"I thought I asked for complete privacy!"

"Sorry sir," the wolf said. "But there are several wolves approaching through the trees."

"Ahh!" King growled in frustration. The wolf quickly left the cave so as to avoid his master's fury.

King looked down at Humphrey,...

Special thanks to:

TimberHumphrey for the idea that Winston and Eve took him in.

jhilton0907 for the idea that Humphrey was relocated as a pup.

Chidori1334 for idea to bring Hutch back, the idea that Humphrey was an orphan, the idea to bring Daria back, and for the idea that Cando and Hutch found Humphrey.

Chapter 2: Pack Meeting

That night, Humphrey didn't sleep too well. He was continuing to think about his parents and was talking in his sleep as he did so.

"Mom. Dad. No, don't leave. Help!"

Outside the den, Kate and Winston were quietly talking.

"We can't keep it a secret any longer," Winston said...
