Very early the next morning, I was woken rather abruptly by Scar as she tossed and turned under the blankets. For a moment, I said and did nothing, hoping it would cease on its own. It didn't. The rivalry between the 97 WPMS Maserati and the 12 RC Ferrari was going strong by this point. They had exchanged places for the entire race so far, and currently the 12 had the advantage. The two cars were in the straighter section of the track, where the Ferrari was slightly faster. The Maserati had the advantage when the track turned to the turns, possessing a larger rear spoiler and front splitter. The Maserati was more glued to the track than the Ferrari, which allowed turns at slightly higher speed.
