Chapter 12: A Bond Long Forgotten

The human slowly approached Humphrey and Kenya, although Kenya was the only one he really noticed. As he got closer he recognized her as his lost dog. The man slowly lowered his gun to the ground and began calling her over.

Humphrey was preoccupied at the moment, but when he heard the human calling to his sister, he turned around and when he saw the human approaching his younger sister, he became angry and afraid for her at the same time. Humphrey rushed towards them and leaped in between the human and his sister. The fur on his back stood up, bristled, his teeth bared. He was crouched in a hunting-like stance, ready to pounce, his legs spread wide apart.

The man jumped back in surprise, then slowly started to reach down for his gun that he had dropped on the ground. As he did so, he began talking to his former dog, trying to get her to come with him. Kenya didn't know exactly what he was saying, but she knew what he meant. He wanted her to leave Humphrey behind and return back to the town with him.

Kenya now stepped in front of Humphrey, now preventing her former owner from firing upon her brother. For many long minutes, Kenya didn't move. She just thought. And finally, she decided to stay with her true family, not some false one where she had no control over her own life. Slowly, she looked behind her at her brother, who had now ceased all his hostilities and was now looking back at her. Then she turned and looked up at her owner, and to his disappointment, she stepped backwards next to her brother, clearly choosing the wolf over him.

The man's face said it all. His heart had been broken. But he managed to ignore it for the time being and raised his gun to fire on Humphrey. If his dog had no wolf to stay with, she would have to come back with him. But he had no clue how wrong he was.

As he raised his weapon to fire the killing blow, Kenya saw this and leaped at him, ultimately knocking him down. Her choice was clearly made there would be no going back.

PurpleDragon02 I love how we talk like we've been life-long friends, but really, we don't even know what the other looks like or how old we are. For all you knew before watching my videos, I could've been a 70-year-old man or a ten year old kid. I think it's kinda funny how two people can be friends and not even know what the other looks like. And if they meet, they might still remain friends even there could be a large age gap between the two.

PurpleDragon02 I get it. My grandma died four years ago and I'm still having trouble. My favorite thing I remember about her is she made the absolute best apple pie. We've tried to re-make it according to her recipe and it still doesn't even come close. There was something she did that just made it so amazing

PurpleDragon02 I took a look at your profile. I love Hans Zimmer too. The only composer I like more is John Williams. And, my family is built off Lord of the Rings. My uncle loved it and after he died, we became stronger as a family through it.

KnudsonBlitz I’m sorry for your loss... My Grandpa was in the navy in the Vietnam War. He was a firefighter on the USS Ranger. He said that bombs were going of in the distance. But my favorite thing about him were his stories. He said that when he was ten, he snuck out of church and him and his friend took his friend’s dad’s car out for a drive. They hit a mailbox and it flew onto the roof of the person’s house. They parked the car and his dad never noticed.

PurpleDragon02 Oh my gosh! My grandpa died when I was one but from what my dad has told me, he was pretty awesome. He was a B-17 bomber pilot in WWII and he was preparing for the pre-invasion bombing on Japan but then they dropped the atom bomb. So if they didn't drop that bomb, he probably would've died and I wouldn't be here because my dad was born in 61. When my grandpa was younger, his neighbor was choking on a baby carrot that he accidentally inhaled and my grandpa slapped the guy in the back as hard as he could and the carrot came flying back out.

Swan Princess 5 trailer review.

well, another year and another "Swan Princess" movie's coming out... and we get a trailer... where the hell to start? well, i'll start by saying: why, Crest? couldn't you just, oh i don't know, stop the franchise at the third movie? that would've been 10x times better. but no, they just had to butcher the franchise with a god awful fourth movie, and now they're making another one....
so yeah, like you can predict, in "Swan Princess 5" we're joined once again by Prince Derek and Princess Odette (she still looks terrible in CGI) and this time, they adopt a little girl named Alice or whatever....

Explaining how Viggo can understand the wolves is something I felt I had to do since it was something that we’d never seen before. If you think about it, the explanation I give makes sense. All animals communicate in some way be it through sound, body language, or a combination of the two and the bee thing is totally true. And it’s completely plausible that if you studied and watched closely enough, you might get a very basic understanding of what an animal may be trying to “say”. Dolphins use clicks and whistles, all are slightly different from each other.

The decision to bring the group to the sandstone cliffs was mainly because it was one of their last safe places to go and it was, again, another callback to an earlier story and another old location to go back and visit. The chess board was a massive piece of foreshadowing which I don’t really do, but when I got the idea for it, I couldn’t not do it. Having the pieces set up with the two kings in the middle was foreshadowing the climactic battle, where there’s Humphrey’s army on one side and Viggo’s army on the other side.
