1.Otaku is the honorific word of Taku (home).

Otaku is extremely negative in meaning as it is used to refer to someone who stays at home all the time and doesn't have a life (no social life, no love life, etc)

Usually an otaku person has nothing better to do with their life so they pass the time by watching anime, playing videogames, surfing the internet (otaku is also used to refer to a nerd/hacker/programmer).

In the Western culture, people confuse otaku to be something positive like "Guru". If you think about it, it's not really good to be called a guru if it means you are a total loser who can't socialize with other people except through the Internet.

Other Japanese words which have been confused by Westerners also include but not limited to: Anime, Manga, etc
otaku no jinsei ha yabai na! (it sucks to live the life of an otaku!)

2.An extremely negative Japanese term, referring to a shut-in or someone with no social life. It also implies that the person's entire life is molded around fictional characters (usually anime and manga).
In America, the term has been embraced by anime fans, who (as they do with many Japanese words), use the word incorrectly as a positive term for fanboy/girl.
1. "God, that kid is such an otaku. He won't leave the basement unless it's to buy new Dragon Ball fansubs."
2. "I, like, so totally love Sailor Moon! Serena rawks! I am, like, the ultimate Sailor Moon otaku!"

3.Otaku is a Japanese word for house.

As in you never leave it.
Please don't call yourself an otaku, especially in front of real Japanese people, which you most likely never meet.

So cute!
So cute!
Hi guys, since I had written about Sakura Wars. I'm going to write another anime from my childhood and that is Akazukin Cha Cha.

The Characters

Like many anime cartoons that I come across, the characters really come to life and provides comic relief as the story progresses. Their interactions are so cute and yet at the same time, unpredictable.

The Story-Line

When I first watched this anime, I thought that it would going to predictable. But I was wrong in the end, the story is about parental love and friendship. Along the way, it changes a young girl's life as she found out that she is actually a princess!

Happily Ever After

Although this article is short, while writing it brings back memories of this wonderful anime, the characters and the music. Check it out!

It's announced there's gonna be a live action movie.

My reaction was....I KNEW IT!!!!

Ever since I read the manga I fell in love with the series and I couldn't wait any longer to read the next one then the next one then the next one.

Then came the anime...absolutely loved Season 1 but season 2 I was a bit upset how rushed it was....but I hope Season 3 will be just as good as the manga (Tokyo Ghoul:re)

Now the movie...some fans are being negative and some fans are positive about it, but if Tokyo Ghoul is officially coming to the big screen I just hope it will be good

When I was a young middle school student, I told my friends, and I quote, “If Capcom doesn’t make an anime based off of the Ace Attorney series, I’m gonna fly to Japan and slap them”! True quote. And finally, after over a decade of Phoenix Wright, we have finally gotten the Ace Attorney anime! Episode 1……. So, after watching the Ace Attorney movie and liking it, does the Ace Attorney anime lives up to the hype or should be deported back to Japan? Let’s find out, shall we?
So, let us start with the anime’s opening. I think it’s catchy, though is it just me, or does it sound...
