The Plot

The film is about Shizuku, a high school girl who loves to read books. She meets a high school guy named Seiji. At first Shizuku dislikes Seiji, but she eventually falls in love. Shizuku and Seiji try to focus both on their relationship and their future jobs.

The plot is good. Most romance films are painfully predictable, boring, and annoying. This film is actually pretty charming and entertaining. It has a few slow scenes, but the plot is well done. This film is better than most romance films.

The Characters

Shizuku is a pretty good character. She has a unique personality and is occasionally funny. Seiji may seem immature, but he's a nice and smart person. The Baron is barley in this film, but he's pretty charming and really well voiced by Cary Elwes.

The Animation

The film first came out over 20 years ago, but the film looks good. The characters and locations are well made.

Overall

This film isn't as amazing as Marnie, Princess Kaguya, and The Wind Rises, but it's charming enough to recommend.
