Yes I know I've published loads about this here, but I just thought you should be able to see my comments from The Vampire Diaries books spot about whether or not Bonnie should be with Damon.

I actually don't think he is falling for Bonnie, but is caring for her. I think he is in love with Elena, and I thought that was pretty obvious. There was nothing to suggest to me in the books that Damon had deeper feelings for Bonnie and vice versa.

What Bonnie felt for Damon was just a crush, just like she crushed on most of the guys in the books. I think that if there really had been deeper feelings between them it would have been developed in Shadow Souls which it wasn't.

Damon and Elena's love has been developing since they met in the books and it is obvious, at least to me, that they now are in love. I think that in the motel scene, in which we are still unaware of what happened, something big happened between them, where their real feelings for each other were known, and when Damon failed to remember because his memories were taken, Elena was too afraid to tell her friends and also Stefan, because she didn't want to accept her feelings herself.

I think this is the case because if it wasn't to do with feelings then why didn't she tell Stefan, her friends and why is the last book about who Elena will choose? I also think a Stelena end game would be too obvious and predictable, not to mention Twilighty for my liking.

I am certain that Elena is going to pick Damon and not Stefan, and that Bonnie will be with Matt or no one.

Second comment

Don't you think Stelena is too obvious though? Whether you want to admit it or now, Stelena IS a predictable ending and predictable endings don't make for a good ending, at least to me anyway. I want an ending to be least expected. Yes, I am certain Delena will be end game, their build up in the books, ALL their scenes, especially in Shadow Souls, suggests that. But I think Delena is a less predictable ending. Only because, yes a vampire/human couple in the books has been done a lot before, but how many times can you say they have been end game?! The "good" vampire and human relationship has been end game numerous times and therefore THAT relationship is more predictable.

I also think Stefan and Elena are TOO much like Edward and Bella in the books. They are a little less like them in the show, but definately ARE in the books. Yes, I know LJ Smith published her series BEFORE Meyer, but I read Meyer's books first so that was how I could judge. Plus, you've got to remember that LJ Smith's books haven't ended yet, wheres Meyer's HAS.

Also, saying it would be a slap in the face that if Stelena isn't end game is ridiculous. Come on! What about Delena?! A true love story doesn't happen where the two lovers fall in love really quickly in which Stelena did in the books. In book one they had already admitted their feelings and were like static for the rest of the series. Even KW said that when he started reading the first book it was too Twilighty, but when Damon entered it became more interesting.

Basically, there are SO many reasons why Stelena/Bamon shouldn't be end game, whereas there are LOADS for why Delena SHOULD be end game; this is in the books anyway.
